A misplaced drill or stubborn patch of wax rarely ruins a project. Most problems are easier to correct when you pause early and use a light touch.
1. My rows look crooked
Use the straight edge of a ruler or alignment tool to nudge several drills at once. Correct every few rows instead of waiting until the end.
2. The pen will not pick up drills
Remove old wax and reload the tip with a fresh, small amount. Pressing too hard can push wax deeper into the pen.
3. Drills keep popping up
Check for crowding, duplicates, or debris. Realign the surrounding drills, cover with clean parchment, and press evenly.
4. I placed the wrong color
Lift the drill carefully with tweezers. Avoid scraping the adhesive; place the correct drill and press lightly.
5. The canvas cover is stuck or wrinkled
Peel from one corner slowly. If replacing the cover, use clean release paper or parchment designed not to bond with adhesive—never ordinary paper.
6. I spilled the drills
Use a clean lint roller or a vacuum nozzle covered with a thin stocking to collect them. Sort by the labels and color chart.
7. Part of the canvas is not sticky
First remove lint gently. For a genuinely dry patch, use a craft adhesive made for this purpose and follow its instructions sparingly.
