About This Landscape Design

A layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist, with a still lake catching the sky and pine slopes anchoring both banks forms the subject of this Landscape piece, worked in cool pine green and slate blue with a band of warm light at the horizon. The character is expansive and quiet, and it stays that way at any distance. Landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. It fits a living room or hallway where the wall is the focal point. Designed for living rooms and reading corners, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference Q4867. Depth is built through graded blues rather than outlines, so the scene pulls the eye inward the longer it hangs.

landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. In living rooms and reading corners the piece holds its own against the surrounding colour rather than fighting it.

DOTZSO cuts these canvases large on purpose — the scale is what turns a design into a wall piece. The package holds a large colour-printed canvas, DOTZSO resin drills, a tray, a comfort-grip pen, a wax caddy and step-by-step pictorial instructions.

The panoramic proportions are chosen for a reason: horizon-heavy designs need width to read properly, and this format provides it.

The 70 × 40 cm proportions suit landscape scenes better than a square ever could.

What’s in the Box

  • 1 × colour-printed canvas
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Unroll the large canvas on the floor or a wide table so the edges have room to lie flat.
  2. Match the first symbol to its drill colour from the legend strip.
  3. Load the pen from the wax caddy and place the first drills in one corner of the composition.
  4. Work outward in colour blocks rather than across the whole canvas. On a canvas this size, block-by-block is the only efficient approach.
  5. Once complete, press the surface flat in sections to seat every drill before framing.
  6. Frame it at 70 x 40 cm, or store it rolled loosely if framing comes later.

Give it the weeks it asks for, then frame it and let it anchor the room.

Frequently Asked Questions

What comes in the box with this Landscape Series-G large diamond painting kit?

Yes. The Landscape Series-G large diamond painting kit ships complete with everything shown in the product images, so there is nothing else to source, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference Q4867.

Is the Landscape Series-G surface tough enough for daily contact?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Landscape Series-G design holds under normal use. The sealed surface handles normal handling, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. Nothing about the Landscape Series-G finish is fragile once it has been sealed.

Does the Landscape Series-G finish need any special treatment?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge it or put it through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Landscape Series-G palette, muted terracotta, dusty blue and soft graphite resolved against an off-white ground tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. Store it dry and the Landscape Series-G piece needs very little attention.

Is the Landscape Series-G large diamond painting kit drilled from edge to edge?

The round resin drills are colour-sorted and matched to the printed symbol key. The Landscape Series-G artwork is drawn so that overlapping colour fields drifting across the canvas reads clearly at any distance. The whole Landscape Series-G surface carries the drilled finish.

How many evenings will the Landscape Series-G design take?

This is a multi-session piece — expect a week or more of evenings rather than one sitting. The Landscape Series-G design is modern and understated, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. The Landscape Series-G pattern builds up quickly once the colour blocks start.

How approachable is the Landscape Series-G design for newcomers?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the canvas and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Landscape Series-G layout is modern and understated, which helps on a first attempt. The kit is complete on delivery.

This was my first full size canvas and it turned out better than I hoped. Gave it to my mother-in-law as a gift and it went over really well. Great kit, no complaints.

A bigger project than I’ve done before, but so worth the time. Legend is printed on the canvas itself, which I find handy. I worked on this during my lunch breaks and it made the days feel better. Once framed it looks like something you’d buy in a gallery. Would make a great gift too.

  3. Nicole V. (verified owner) –

Bought it as a starter kit for myself and it worked out great. The chart on the side of the canvas is clear and easy to follow. Once framed it looks like something you’d buy in a gallery. I picked the landscape version and the colors are lovely. Will be back for more.

  4. Alyssa K. (verified owner) –

The printed canvas is crisp and the symbols are easy to read. The canvas came rolled, and it flattened out with no creases. The canvas laid flat after a day under a couple of books. Instructions were pretty minimal, though there are plenty of tutorials online. Perfect for winding down before bed, much better than watching another show. The colors work beautifully with the room. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

A bigger project than I’ve done before, but so worth the time. The canvas printing is crisp and the symbols are easy to read, even in low light. Made this as a gift for my parents’ anniversary. Delighted with it.

  7. Patty Young (verified owner) –

I had a gift card burning a hole in my pocket and this was the pick. The higher color count really shows in the finished piece. The pen grip stayed comfortable through long sessions. I found it genuinely enjoyable rather than just something to finish. I’d have liked a slightly longer chart, but it was workable. It was worth every evening I spent on it. Minor gripes aside, I’d buy it again.

  8. Maureen Griffiths (verified owner) –

The printed canvas is crisp and the symbols are easy to read. The canvas doesn’t curl at the corners after working on it. The printed area is bordered, so framing is straightforward. I settled into a rhythm after the first section. Took a bit longer to arrive than I expected. It fits perfectly with the decor in in my reading nook. Worth it despite the small things.

  9. Margaret A. (verified owner) –

Took me a few weeks of evenings and I loved every minute. There were extra drills left over in every color when I finished. The drills came in labeled bags, which made sorting painless. I do it at the kitchen table while dinner simmers. It’s hanging in the Family room now and looks great. The landscape palette is softer in person, which I actually prefer. Solid kit, would order again.

Picked this up during a sale and it was money well spent. The higher color count really shows in the finished piece. Symbols on the chart are printed clearly enough to follow without guessing. It’s become the quiet part of my day that I look forward to. It turned into something I actually want to display, not shove in a drawer. Worth every penny.

I hung it in the hallway and people always ask where I got it. Edges have enough margin for framing. The canvas printing is crisp and the symbols are easy to read, even in low light. The scenery design is even prettier in person than in the photos. It’s a lovely quiet hobby, and I like having something to show for it at the end. Gave it to my husband as a gift and it went over really well. Great kit, no complaints.

Came quickly and was packaged really well. The glue is tacky enough that I can reposition if I misplace a drill. I love how the scenery colors turned out. The repetitive motion is oddly satisfying, one of those simple pleasures. Some colors came with barely any extras, though I didn’t run out. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.
