Why This Animal Eyeglass Case Earns Its Place in the Bag

The Animal artwork frames a stylised creature built from simple rounded forms, shown in profile with a clear silhouette and minimal interior detail, worked in soft muted tones with a single accent colour against a plain ground. The overall character is playful and simple rather than theatrical. Simple animal forms work in family spaces because they are recognisable at a glance without being childish. It fits a routine that involves a commute and a pair of glasses that has to survive it. Designed for nurseries and casual living spaces, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference Q55+Q57+Q58+Q72+Q80+Q84. simple animal forms work in family spaces because they are recognisable at a glance without being childish. Hung in nurseries and casual living spaces, it reads as part of the room rather than an addition to it.

Each DOTZSO case kit is put together so nothing is missing and the finished case takes real handling. Alongside the case panel you get DOTZSO resin drills, a sorting tray, a comfort-grip applicator pen, a wax caddy and pictorial instructions.

A case stays in use if it handles daily carry. That is what the sealed panel and seated drills are for.

Drilling the panel in full is what gives the case its weight and finish.

What’s in the Box

  • 6 × printed case panel
  • 6 × rigid case body / frame
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy

How to Make It

  1. Lay the printed case panel flat and let it settle before starting.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one section at a time rather than across the whole panel.
  5. Continue until the panel is covered, then press the finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Seal the surface and fit the panel into the case frame once the drills are fully seated.

Go through it one section at a time, then let the finished case earn its keep.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the eyeglass case kit packaged with everything for the Animal design?

Yes. The Animal eyeglass case kit ships complete with the case body and frame shown in the product images, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference Q55+Q57+Q58+Q72+Q80+Q84.

Is the Animal design robust once the sealing step is done?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Animal design holds under normal use. The rigid shell is what protects the drills in a bag, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. Nothing about the Animal finish is fragile once it has been sealed.

How do I keep the Animal eyeglass case kit looking new?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge it or put it through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Animal palette, soft muted tones tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. Regular light cleaning keeps the Animal finish crisp.

How densely is the Animal design drilled?

The panel is drilled across the whole face, so the finished case has complete coverage. The Animal artwork is drawn so that a stylised creature built from simple rounded forms reads clearly at any distance. Coverage is total across the Animal artwork.

Is the Animal project suited to evenings rather than a full day?

Roughly one to two evenings for most people, depending on the pattern density. The Animal design is playful and simple, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. The Animal pattern builds up quickly once the colour blocks start.

Is the Animal design suitable for a first project?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the case panel and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Animal layout is playful and simple, which helps on a first attempt. All components arrive together.

Wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’m very happy with it. Finish is even and the whole thing looks tidy once you’re done. Quiet Sunday mornings with this and a coffee is my favorite part of the week. Great kit, no complaints.

This was my first diamond painting kit and I’m officially hooked. The critter detail comes together really nicely once it’s finished. The interior lining is soft, no scratches on my lenses. I worked on this during my lunch breaks and it made the days feel better. Keeps my readers from getting scratched in my purse. Recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing craft.

I’ve tried a few brands and this one holds up well. Gave one to my mom for Mother’s Day and she carries it everywhere. Wish it came in a larger size option. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

Small enough to finish in one sitting, which I loved. Packaging was tidy and nothing had spilled in transit. Perfect for winding down before bed, much better than watching another show. Everyone who sees it asks how long it took. Wish it came in a larger size option. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

Perfect size for a first diamond art project. I love how the animal colors turned out. It’s small enough to toss in a tote without adding bulk. Each color was packed generously, I had plenty to spare. Keeps my hands busy during long flights and hotel evenings. I keep one in the car and one in the house. Really glad I bought it.

Finished it in one evening and it turned out adorable. The drill shapes were clean, not many chipped or stuck-together pieces. Gave one to my mom for Mother’s Day and she carries it everywhere. Thumbs up from our whole family.

I made one for my sunglasses and now I want one for every pair. The critter palette is softer in person, which I actually prefer. The interior could use a bit more padding. The case is rigid enough that I trust it in my bag. I’ve been doing it in the evenings with my partner, we take turns on sections. Still a solid purchase.

Ordered on a Monday, had it by the weekend. The cord doesn’t tangle in my bag. I did a section a night and looked forward to it each time. Better than I expected.

I’ve made three of these now as gifts and everyone loves them. The drills sit flush so nothing catches on the lining of my purse. The animal artwork comes together beautifully as you work. I listened to a podcast and the time went by without noticing. Mine lives in my tote bag and has saved my sunglasses more than once. Glad I went with this one.

I bought it because I’m always losing my readers and it’s been great. The pen and wax worked fine, I didn’t need to dig out my own tools. I work on it while listening to an audiobook and the time just disappears. Will be back for more.

Bought this after finishing my last kit and it was a good call. The adhesive held firmly without any lifting at the edges. A magnetic closure would have been nicer than the snap. Made one for my mother and she carries it everywhere. Mild quibbles, but a good purchase.
