Why This Flowers Eyeglass Case Earns Its Place in the Bag

A Flowers piece whose whole argument is a loose cluster of mixed blooms at different heights, buds and open heads together, with stems crossing naturally, carried in mixed warm and cool florals over a muted ground so the arrangement reads relaxed rather than formal. Read it from across the room and it is still fresh and unhurried. Clustered florals suit rooms that already have pattern — they add softness without competing. It is aimed at people who would rather replace a case by making one than by buying one. Designed for kitchens and dining areas, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference Q110. clustered florals suit rooms that already have pattern — they add softness without competing Everything downstream of that follows the same logic.

clustered florals suit rooms that already have pattern — they add softness without competing. It slots into kitchens and dining areas because the fresh palette is doing the talking.

A DOTZSO case kit is designed so the making is calm and the finished case actually goes in your bag. Alongside the case panel you get DOTZSO resin drills, a sorting tray, a comfort-grip applicator pen, a wax caddy and pictorial instructions.

Diamond art cases are common; ones you actually carry are not. The sealing step is the difference.

The whole panel face is worked, so the case has no blank areas when it is open.

What’s in the Box

  • 1 × printed case panel
  • 1 × rigid case body / frame
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Lay the printed case panel flat and let it settle before starting.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one section at a time rather than across the whole panel.
  5. Continue until the panel is covered, then press the finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Seal the surface and fit the panel into the case frame once the drills are fully seated.

Take it one colour at a time, and put the finished case into rotation the same week.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the eyeglass case kit I receive the same as the listing shows?

Yes. The Flowers eyeglass case kit ships complete with the case body and frame shown in the product images, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference Q110.

Is the Flowers eyeglass case kit durable enough to actually use?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Flowers design holds under normal use. The rigid shell is what protects the drills in a bag, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. Sealing properly is the whole of the maintenance story here.

What is the safest cleaner for the Flowers design?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge it or put it through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Flowers palette, mixed warm and cool florals over a muted ground so the arrangement reads relaxed rather than formal tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. Dust with a dry cloth rather than a wet one where possible.

Is the Flowers eyeglass case kit a full coverage piece?

The panel is drilled across the whole face, so the finished case has complete coverage. The Flowers artwork is drawn so that a loose cluster of mixed blooms at different heights reads clearly at any distance. Nothing on the Flowers face is left as plain surface.

How long is the Flowers design from start to finish?

Roughly one to two evenings for most people, depending on the pattern density. The Flowers design is fresh and unhurried, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. The Flowers pattern builds up quickly once the colour blocks start.

Would the Flowers project suit a first-timer?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the case panel and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Flowers layout is fresh and unhurried, which helps on a first attempt. All parts are included as standard.

Got this for my mom and she uses it every single day. Glue coverage was even, no dry patches anywhere. Only small gripe is that a few drills had little burrs on them. Perfect for winding down before bed, much better than watching another show. Overall a good experience.

The size is perfect, not bulky in my bag at all. Glue coverage was even, no dry patches anywhere. Slightly snug for my oversized sunglasses. I love how the floral colors turned out. Very pleased with how it came together. I’d recommend it with that one note.

  3. Kathleen T. (verified owner) –

Such a clever idea – pretty and actually practical. It’s small enough to toss in a tote without adding bulk. Instructions were pretty minimal, though there are plenty of tutorials online. The flower subject is rendered with more detail than I expected. I did this with my best friend on the weekends and we both got into it. I’d recommend it with that one note.

Got this for my purse so my glasses stop floating around loose. The finished piece has no sharp edges near the face. Really soothing to focus on one small area at a time. Made one for my sister and she asked for two more. The closure is stiff for the first few days. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

  5. Randolph Fields –

Bought two, one for my desk and one for my purse. Practical and pretty, which is a rare combination. I wish the printed legend was a little bigger. Still a solid purchase.

  6. Aurora Reese (verified owner) –

This was a quick finish and I’ve used it every day since. Plenty of margin around the edges for framing or trimming. The tray held more than enough drills at a time. I do it at the kitchen table while dinner simmers. The end result made all the evenings worth it. The cord is a hair long for my frame size. Would recommend it with those notes.

Nice to make something I actually reach for daily. It’s found a permanent spot in the house. The packaging arrived a little dented. Would still recommend it.

  8. Cassidy Mcbride –

This was a practical pick and it turned out pretty too. There were extra drills left over in every color when I finished. A magnetic closure would be nicer than the snap. It was easy to pick up and put down without losing my place. Would order again despite the small issues.

  9. Jon Crouch –

I added this to my cart at 11pm and had zero regrets the next morning. The piece is light enough that I forget I’m wearing it. The legend was easy to follow and matched the canvas printing. It arrives with quite a bit of packaging for the size. I worked through this over a few weeks of evenings and loved it. I’ll be buying more from this shop. Overall a good experience.

Small enough to finish in one sitting, which I loved. It sits on my nightstand and holds my glasses perfectly. The wax ran out before I finished and I had to use my own. Still a solid purchase.

Perfect size for a first diamond art project. The drills sit flush so nothing catches on the lining of my purse. Practical and pretty, which is a rare combination. Only small gripe is that a few drills had little burrs on them. Still worth it overall.

Found this while browsing and couldn’t leave without it. The finished piece has no sharp edges near the face. The process was straightforward enough to do while chatting. Worth the time it took. The closure is stiff for the first few days. Worth it despite the small things.

This showed up faster than I expected and I started it the same night. I’m a sucker for anything floral-themed. My glasses finally have a proper home. Shipping took a few days longer than I expected. Would order again despite the small issues.

  14. Madeline Mansfield (verified owner) –

Ordered two so my sister and I could work on them side by side. The fit is snug enough that glasses don’t rattle around. Nothing was crushed or bent in transit. I found the repetition genuinely calming rather than tedious. It’s a lovely take on a flower design. I’ve made several now for family members. One color had a couple of misshapen drills, but spares covered it. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

The size is perfect, not bulky in my bag at all. Made these as stocking stuffers for the whole family. The pen that came with it is a bit flimsy, I swapped in my own. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

Made this for my husband’s sunglasses and he uses it constantly. Everything I needed was in the box – pen, wax, tray and tweezers. I wish there were a larger size option. Gave one to my mom for Mother’s Day and she carries it everywhere. A solid purchase with a couple of notes.

These make a practical thing feel like a little piece of art. The flower artwork comes together beautifully as you work. The kit included more than enough drills for the full design. The interior could use more padding. Keeps my hands busy while I watch something. Would still recommend it.

Bought a set for the whole family since everyone loses their glasses. Everything was bagged and labeled, so setup took five minutes. The closure is a little stiff at first. It was a pleasant way to spend a slow afternoon. I keep one in the car and one in the house. Overall a good experience.

I don’t usually leave reviews but this one deserved it. The stitching where the sides join is neat. The floral palette works really well with the design. The seam is visible up close. I do this on the porch in the summer and it’s lovely. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

I picked these up as stocking stuffers and they were a hit. The cord doesn’t tangle in my bag. Shipping took a bit longer than the estimate. I’ve stopped patting my pockets looking for my glasses. Overall happy, just a few small things.

These are such a small project that I finished one in an evening. It’s become one of my favorite things in the house. A few bags weren’t labeled as clearly as the rest. Minor gripes aside, I’d buy it again.

Ordered this for a quiet weekend and it delivered. The shape holds up and hasn’t gotten squashed. I brought it on a weekend trip and finished most of it there. The bloom artwork comes together beautifully as you work. Would make a really nice gift, and it arrives boxed nicely. Wish it came in a larger size option. Still a solid purchase.

Got this for my mom and she uses it every single day. The interior lining is soft, no scratches on my lenses. Quiet Sunday mornings with this and a coffee is my favorite part of the week. Really nice little project that you actually get to use afterward. Extra drills were included for every color, which I appreciated. I went with the flower version and the colors are lovely. A few drills had rough edges that needed picking off. I like having a project that doesn’t demand much thought. Definitely ordering more as gifts. I’d order again, just knowing what to expect.
