Girl eyeglass case kit by DOTZSO — a girl shown in three-quarter profile with hair swept to one side and a simple garment in warm skin tones and dark hair. Why This Girl Eyeglass Case Earns Its Place in the Bag

Built on a girl shown in three-quarter profile with hair swept to one side and a simple garment, the background reduced to soft tonal washes and finished in warm skin tones and dark hair with muted blush and sage in the background, this Girl piece lands in a quiet and contemplative register that suits a working room. Figure studies sell to people who want a human presence on the wall without a formal portrait. It fits a household where practical objects are also expected to look good. Designed for bedrooms and dressing rooms, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference Q88. Figure studies sell to people who want a human presence on the wall without a formal portrait That is the reasoning behind the whole composition.

figure studies sell to people who want a human presence on the wall without a formal portrait. In bedrooms and dressing rooms the piece holds its own against the surrounding colour rather than fighting it.

DOTZSO builds these for people who would rather make a replacement than buy another identical case. What is in the box: the printed case panel, DOTZSO resin drills, a sorting tray, a comfort-grip applicator pen, a wax caddy and a pictorial instruction sheet.

A case stays in use if it handles daily carry. That is what the sealed panel and seated drills are for.

Full drill across the panel keeps the finish consistent from hinge to edge.

What’s in the Box

  • 1 × printed case panel
  • 1 × rigid case body / frame
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Lay the printed case panel flat and let it settle before starting.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one section at a time rather than across the whole panel.
  5. Continue until the panel is covered, then press the finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Seal the surface and fit the panel into the case frame once the drills are fully seated.

Take it one colour at a time, and put the finished case into rotation the same week.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is anything in the eyeglass case kit sold separately?

Yes. The Girl eyeglass case kit ships complete with the case body and frame shown in the product images, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference Q88.

Does the Girl eyeglass case kit stand up to being used rather than just displayed?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Girl design holds under normal use. The rigid shell is what protects the drills in a bag, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. The Girl surface tolerates being picked up and moved.

Does the Girl eyeglass case kit need special care?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge it or put it through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Girl palette, warm skin tones and dark hair tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. A microfibre cloth works well on the Girl surface.

Does the Girl artwork rely on printed areas as well as drills?

The panel is drilled across the whole face, so the finished case has complete coverage. The Girl artwork is drawn so that a girl shown in three-quarter profile with hair swept to one side and a simple garment reads clearly at any distance. The Girl surface is worked as one continuous piece.

What is the pace like on the Girl eyeglass case kit?

Roughly one to two evenings for most people, depending on the pattern density. The Girl design is quiet and contemplative, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. The Girl pattern is easy to work in short bursts.

How much practice does the Girl eyeglass case kit need?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the case panel and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Girl layout is quiet and contemplative, which helps on a first attempt. The kit is complete on delivery.

I’ve made three of these now as gifts and everyone loves them. Really nice little gift that people actually use. The pen that came with it is a bit flimsy, I swapped in my own. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

I made one for my sunglasses and now I want one for every pair. Practical and pretty, which is a rare combination. Only small gripe is that a few drills had little burrs on them. Still a solid purchase.

I’ve tried a few brands and this one holds up well. It keeps its shape even when empty. I work on it after dinner and it helps me switch off. The packaging was a little crushed on one corner. Overall happy, just a few small things.

Not my first diamond painting, but one of my favorites. It looks like something from a home decor shop. The pen that came with it is a bit flimsy, I swapped in my own. Minor gripes aside, I’d buy it again.

  5. Gavin Good (verified owner) –

Ordered this on a quiet Sunday and it arrived faster than expected. Finished piece looks even better in person than in the listing photos. The interior could use more padding. Would order again despite the small issues.

  6. Brandon Barron (verified owner) –

Such a clever idea – pretty and actually practical. Each color was in its own pouch, clearly numbered. Slightly snug for my oversized sunglasses. Made one for my mother and she carries it everywhere. Overall a good experience.

  7. Lester Daniel (verified owner) –

I keep coming back to this shop because the quality is consistent. My glasses finally have a proper home. I’d have liked one more spare clasp. Minor quibbles aside, I’d buy it again.

  8. Sherri Clayton (verified owner) –

Perfect size for a first diamond art project. The kit came with a comfortable pen and enough wax for the whole project. Good quality drills with clean edges, not chipped. I brought it on a week at the lake and finished most of it there. My daughter wants one now after seeing mine. It would help to include a larger paper chart. Happy with it, with one small caveat.

  9. Benjamin Garner (verified owner) –

The size is right for tossing in a bag. The backing held up fine and didn’t peel anywhere. Nice mindful project – you can’t think about much else while you’re placing drills. My sister asked me to make her two more. The interior could use a bit more padding. A solid purchase with a couple of notes.

  10. Leland Lowe (verified owner) –

Finished it in one evening and it turned out adorable. The shape holds up well, hasn’t gotten squashed. Really calming, repetitive work, and satisfying when a section is finished. Some colors came with barely any extras, though I didn’t run out. It sits on my nightstand and holds my glasses perfectly. Still a good kit overall.

Bought this as a birthday present to myself. Keeps my readers from getting scratched in my purse. I wish there were a larger size option. I’d recommend it with that one note.

Picked this up during a sale and it was money well spent. I’ve made several now for family members. The closure is a little stiff at first. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

  13. Emanuel Larson (verified owner) –

Finished it in one evening and it turned out adorable. The beads stay put and don’t slide down the cord. A peaceful project that fits into whatever time you have. My glasses are finally where I can find them. Took a bit longer to arrive than I expected. Mild quibbles, but a good purchase.

This is a genuinely nice kit for the money. Colors are distinct enough that I never mixed two shades up. Took me a while to get the hang of the multi-placer tip. Mine lives in my tote bag and has saved my sunglasses more than once. Worth it despite the small things.

Made this for my husband’s sunglasses and he uses it constantly. It’s on my desk at work and people always comment on it. It arrives with quite a bit of packaging for the size. Good kit — the notes above are minor.

  17. Robert Myers –

Such a clever idea – pretty and actually practical. The adhesive is plenty sticky, the drills stay exactly where I put them. It’s my screen-free hour in the evening. The adhesive picked up lint over the days I worked on it. Still a solid purchase.

Bought two, one for my desk and one for my purse. Really nice little gift that people actually use. The sorting tray is shallow, drills spill out if you’re not careful. Still worth it overall.

This was a quick finish and I’ve used it every day since. Nothing arrived damaged, and everything was sealed properly. Took me a while to get the hang of the multi-placer tip. It’s become the quiet part of my day that I look forward to. It lives in my bag and has protected my glasses well. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

I picked this up on a whim and ended up really enjoying it. The drills have a nice sparkle to them, not dull or flat. The seam is visible up close. I work on it after dinner and it helps me switch off. I reach for it every morning for my readers. Minor quibbles aside, I’d buy it again.

  23. Pat Mckee (verified owner) –

I picked these up as stocking stuffers and they were a hit. The drills came in labeled bags, which made sorting painless. Mine lives in my tote bag and has saved my sunglasses more than once. I’d have liked a slightly longer chart, but it was workable. Happy enough that I’d buy another.
