Why This Large Flowers Eyeglass Case Earns Its Place in the Bag

An oversized bloom filling the composition edge to edge, petals sweeping beyond the frame with visible curvature and depth is what this Large Flowers design is about, and the palette keeps to bold coral and amber petals with deep green stems against a dark ground. Nothing here overstates its case; the tone is simply dramatic and warm. Large-format florals work where a smaller print would get lost — the scale is the decoration. It is for people who would rather their eyewear case be distinctive than invisible. Designed for statement walls and feature corners, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference Q74. Large-format florals work where a smaller print would get lost — the scale is the decoration That is the reasoning behind the whole composition.

large-format florals work where a smaller print would get lost — the scale is the decoration. Kept in statement walls and feature corners, it earns its place by staying quiet while the dramatic palette carries the interest.

The DOTZSO approach here is simple: an unhurried make, and a case that leaves the house. Alongside the case panel you get DOTZSO resin drills, a sorting tray, a comfort-grip applicator pen, a wax caddy and pictorial instructions.

What makes this a working case is the finishing, not the pattern. Seat the drills fully and the surface holds.

The panel is drilled edge to edge, which keeps the case looking deliberate from every angle it is set down at.

What’s in the Box

  • 1 × printed case panel
  • 1 × rigid case body / frame
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Lay the printed case panel flat and let it settle before starting.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one section at a time rather than across the whole panel.
  5. Continue until the panel is covered, then press the finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Seal the surface and fit the panel into the case frame once the drills are fully seated.

Take your time over it, then start using the case instead of saving it for best.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the eyeglass case kit supplied ready to work on, with no gaps?

Yes. The Large Flowers eyeglass case kit ships complete with the case body and frame shown in the product images, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference Q74.

Is the Large Flowers eyeglass case kit sturdy once finished?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Large Flowers design holds under normal use. The rigid shell is what protects the drills in a bag, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. Handling the Large Flowers piece normally will not disturb the drills.

Does the Large Flowers finish need any special treatment?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge it or put it through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Large Flowers palette, bold coral and amber petals tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. Dust with a dry cloth rather than a wet one where possible.

Does the Large Flowers design have any unworked areas?

The panel is drilled across the whole face, so the finished case has complete coverage. The Large Flowers artwork is drawn so that an oversized bloom filling the composition edge to edge reads clearly at any distance. The Large Flowers piece reads as complete once the drilling is done.

Is the Large Flowers design a long-running project?

Roughly one to two evenings for most people, depending on the pattern density. The Large Flowers design is dramatic and warm, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. Expect the Large Flowers piece to span several relaxed sessions.

Do I need experience to do the Large Flowers eyeglass case kit?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the case panel and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Large Flowers layout is dramatic and warm, which helps on a first attempt. There are no optional extras to buy.

Finished it in one evening and it turned out adorable. The fit is snug enough that glasses don’t rattle around. Finish is even and the whole thing looks tidy once you’re done. I like having something mindful to do that doesn’t need a screen. The seam is visible if you look closely. It’s on my desk at work and people always comment on it. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

Perfect size for a first diamond art project. Perfect for keeping my glasses safe in my handbag. Wish it came in a larger size option. Overall a good experience.

  3. Olivia S. (verified owner) –

The size is perfect, not bulky in my bag at all. The closure snaps shut properly and hasn’t come loose. Wish it came in a larger size option. It’s a slow, quiet hobby and I like that about it. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

Such a clever idea – pretty and actually practical. Each color was packed generously, I had plenty to spare. The adhesive picked up a bit of dust while I was working over several days. It’s on my desk at work and people always comment on it. Still worth it overall.

  5. Colleen Reese –

Really nice kit, especially for the money. My glasses don’t rattle around inside. One bead was slightly off-colour from the rest. I find it relaxing to just follow the chart and let my mind wander. I’d recommend it with that one note.

  6. Isaiah Healy (verified owner) –

Added this to my cart at the last minute and I’m glad I did. Glue coverage was even, no dry patches anywhere. Genuinely peaceful to work on one row at a time. The interior could use more padding. It’s on my desk at work and people always comment on it. Small issues, but nothing that would stop me ordering again.

  7. Wade Mcmillan (verified owner) –

I bought it because I’m always losing my readers and it’s been great. The hardware is sturdy enough for daily handling. The cord is a hair long for my frame size. The process was straightforward enough to do while chatting. My glasses finally have a proper home. Still glad I ordered it overall.

Small enough to finish in one sitting, which I loved. The colors work beautifully with the room. Took a bit longer to arrive than I expected. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

Finished it in one evening and it turned out adorable. Really neat stitching where the two sides join. A magnetic closure would have been nicer than the snap. Nice to have something that gets me off my phone for a while. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

  10. Gail Holcomb –

Got this for my mom and she uses it every single day. I keep one at home and one in the car. Shipping took a bit longer than the estimate. Worth it, just go in with the right expectations.

This was a practical pick and it turned out pretty too. Everything felt well made, from the tools to the drills. The finish is even across the whole piece. Nice to have something that gets me off my phone for a while. Wish it came in a larger size option. My sister asked me to make her two more. The floral element makes it feel personal. Worth it despite the small things.

Wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’m very happy with it. I keep one in the car and one in the house. The seam is visible if you look closely. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

Grabbed this on a whim after a long week. The symbols on the chart were easy to follow from start to finish. The flower element makes it feel personal. I do this while listening to music and the time disappears. A magnetic closure would be nicer than the snap. A solid purchase with a couple of notes.

Not my first diamond painting, but one of my favorites. It’s a lovely take on a bloom design. The fit is snug enough that glasses don’t rattle around. I did this with my nephew on the weekends and we both got into it. A few drills were stuck together and needed separating. I’d order it again knowing what I know now.

  15. Sanford Hewitt (verified owner) –

These were a small, easy project and a genuinely useful one. Colors matched the numbers exactly, so there was no guessing. Took me a while to get the hang of the multi-placer tip. It’s easy to lose track of time once you get going. It sits on my nightstand and gets used nightly. Would still recommend it.

  16. Dylan Kenney (verified owner) –

A friend wouldn’t stop talking about hers, so I finally ordered one. The attachment holds without scratching the temple arms. The sparkle on these drills is genuinely nice. Keeps my hands busy during long flights and hotel evenings. I’ve had several people ask where I got it. The cord is a hair long for my frame size. I’d order again, just knowing what to expect.

  17. Ray Harrison –

I’m not usually a craft person, but this one converted me. The shape holds up well, hasn’t gotten squashed. I keep it by my chair and pick it up whenever I have a few minutes. A few bags weren’t labeled as clearly as the rest. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

  18. Suzanne Burch –

These are the cutest way to keep a pair of glasses where I can see them. The kit included more than enough drills for the full design. It fits perfectly with the decor in the dining room. The closure is stiff for the first few days. Still a good kit overall.

  19. WinterWindowArt (verified owner) –

These are the cutest way to keep a pair of glasses where I can see them. The colors read clearly against both my glasses frames. The loop is snug on thicker frames. Made one for my sister and she asked for two more. If you like bloom designs, this is a good example. A good buy, with one or two caveats.

  20. Jackie Mcmahon –

Bought this for my reading glasses and it’s been handy. The interior lining is soft and won’t scratch lenses. Finish is even and the whole thing looks tidy once you’re done. Quiet Sunday mornings with this and a coffee is my favorite part of the week. The seam is visible up close. It’s the kind of project you feel good about finishing. I’d order again, just knowing what to expect.

Really nice little project that you actually get to use afterward. It’s small enough to toss in a tote without adding bulk. The printed chart could have been a touch larger. It lives in my bag and has protected my glasses well. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

A small kit with a genuinely useful result. Really nice little gift that people actually use. Only small gripe is that a few drills had little burrs on them. Overall happy, just a few small things.

Nice to make something I actually reach for daily. Spare drills were included, which I appreciated. The closure is stiff for the first few days. It’s my screen-free hour in the evening. Would still recommend it.

Perfect size for a first diamond art project. The interior lining is soft, no scratches on my lenses. Nice mindful project – you can’t think about much else while you’re placing drills. A magnetic closure would be nicer than the snap. If this style appeals to you, it delivers. Overall happy, just a few small things.

Came across this while looking for craft ideas and bought it that day. Really neat stitching where the two sides join. It’s a calm, repetitive hobby and that’s exactly what I wanted. It makes a lovely gift and arrives nicely packaged. The closure is stiff for the first few days. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

Got this for my purse so my glasses stop floating around loose. The case is rigid enough that I trust it in my bag. The closure is a little stiff at first. Really soothing to focus on one small area at a time. Small issues, but nothing that would stop me ordering again.

Nice to make something I actually reach for daily. Holds its shape nicely, doesn’t collapse when empty. Great value considering how many hours of enjoyment it gave me. The closure is a little stiff at first. Mild quibbles, but a good purchase.
