Why This Large Flowers Eyeglass Case Earns Its Place in the Bag

What this Large Flowers design does is place an oversized bloom filling the composition edge to edge, petals sweeping beyond the frame with visible curvature and depth in bold coral and amber petals with deep green stems against a dark ground and leave it there. The mood — dramatic and warm — does the rest. Large-format florals work where a smaller print would get lost — the scale is the decoration. It is made for anyone whose glasses live in a bag rather than on a bedside table. Designed for statement walls and feature corners, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference Q69. large-format florals work where a smaller print would get lost — the scale is the decoration. That is the part that matters most here.

large-format florals work where a smaller print would get lost — the scale is the decoration. Which is what makes it easy to live with in statement walls and feature corners long after it is finished.

A DOTZSO case kit is designed so the making is calm and the finished case actually goes in your bag. Supplied in the box are the printed case panel, DOTZSO resin drills, a sorting tray, a comfort-grip pen, a wax caddy and illustrated instructions.

The detail most case kits miss is the seal. It is what stops the artwork catching on everything else in your bag.

Working the panel in full drill is what makes the case look made rather than partially finished.

What’s in the Box

  • 1 × printed case panel
  • 1 × rigid case body / frame
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Lay the printed case panel flat and let it settle before starting.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one section at a time rather than across the whole panel.
  5. Continue until the panel is covered, then press the finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Seal the surface and fit the panel into the case frame once the drills are fully seated.

Go through it one section at a time, then let the finished case earn its keep.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Large Flowers eyeglass case kit complete on arrival?

Yes. The Large Flowers eyeglass case kit ships complete with the case body and frame shown in the product images, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference Q69.

Does the Large Flowers eyeglass case kit keep its appearance over time?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Large Flowers design holds under normal use. The rigid shell is what protects the drills in a bag, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. The drilling on the Large Flowers piece stays level over time.

What is the best way to keep the Large Flowers eyeglass case kit tidy?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge it or put it through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Large Flowers palette, bold coral and amber petals tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. A soft dry brush is the safest tool for the Large Flowers texture.

Is the entire Large Flowers surface drilled?

The panel is drilled across the whole face, so the finished case has complete coverage. The Large Flowers artwork is drawn so that an oversized bloom filling the composition edge to edge reads clearly at any distance. That applies across the whole Large Flowers face.

How long is the Large Flowers design from start to finish?

Roughly one to two evenings for most people, depending on the pattern density. The Large Flowers design is dramatic and warm, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. Break it into short sessions and it never feels long.

What would a beginner find tricky on the Large Flowers design?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the case panel and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Large Flowers layout is dramatic and warm, which helps on a first attempt. The pack is self-contained.

Wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’m very happy with it. Really nice little gift that people actually use. Slightly snug for my oversized sunglasses. Still a solid purchase.

I’ve done a handful of these now and this one is up there with the best. The shape holds up well, hasn’t gotten squashed. The closure is a little stiff at first. It’s the kind of project that feels creative without being stressful. Would order again despite the small issues.

  3. ChurchCraftLady (verified owner) –

I picked this up on a whim and ended up really enjoying it. The drills sit flush so nothing catches on the lining of my purse. Packaging was tidy and nothing had spilled in transit. Took me a while to get the hang of the multi-placer tip. I brought it on a week at the lake and finished most of it there. The colors work beautifully with the room. Would order again despite the small issues.

Got this for my mom and she uses it every single day. I use it every day for my reading glasses. Some colors came with barely any extras, though I didn’t run out. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

I made one for my sunglasses and now I want one for every pair. The fit is snug enough that glasses don’t rattle around. I use it every day for my reading glasses. The seam is visible if you look closely. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

Picked this up as a small reward after a long quarter at work. The beads stay put and don\’t slide down the cord. I went with the bloom version and the colors are lovely. The loop is snug on thicker frames. Great for unwinding after a busy week. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

Been doing these for about two years and this kit is solid. I’ve made several now for family members. The seam is visible up close. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

  8. Jake Mccarthy (verified owner) –

Bought this as a birthday present to myself. Nice solid feel, not the flimsy fabric kind. The instructions were short but covered everything I needed. It’s become my evening ritual – an hour of this and I feel settled. A small gift that gets used every day. One bead was slightly off-colour from the rest. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

A friend wouldn’t stop talking about hers, so I finally ordered one. Really nice little gift that people actually use. A magnetic closure would be nicer than the snap. Would order again despite the small issues.

Been doing these for about two years and this kit is solid. The piece is light enough that I forget I’m wearing it. I do this on the porch in the summer and it’s lovely. It arrives with quite a bit of packaging for the size. My glasses are finally where I can find them. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

  11. Beatrice Downey (verified owner) –

Picked this up to try something different and really enjoyed it. The stitching where the sides join is neat. I’ll be ordering from this shop again. One bead was slightly off-colour from the rest. The bloom subject matter is right up my street. Overall happy, just a few small things.

  12. Jessica J. (verified owner) –

My third kit from this shop and still really pleased. I picked the mandala-style version and the colors are lovely. The interior lining is soft, no scratches on my lenses. I found it really peaceful to focus on one small area at a time. The wax ran out before I finished and I had to use my own. Really nice little gift that people actually use. Still a solid purchase.

  13. Jake Heard –

Perfect size for a first diamond art project. Practical and pretty, which is rare in a craft. I chose this one for the floral look. A couple of the darker shades were hard to tell apart. Would recommend it with those notes.

  14. Roman Macdonald (verified owner) –

The size is perfect, not bulky in my bag at all. Extra drills were included for every color, which I appreciated. Mine lives in my tote bag and has saved my sunglasses more than once. Took me a while to get the hang of the multi-placer tip. I’d order again, just knowing what to expect.

  15. Evelyn Parks (verified owner) –

A small kit with a genuinely useful result. There were extra drills left over in every color when I finished. Nice mindful work that keeps you present. The closure is stiff for the first few days. Great value for what you get. Minor quibbles aside, I’d buy it again.

  16. Natasha Newton (verified owner) –

Really nice little project that you actually get to use afterward. The interior lining is soft and won’t scratch lenses. I do it at the kitchen table while dinner simmers. The flower palette works really well with the design. The sorting tray is shallow, drills spill out if you’re not careful. Would still recommend it.

  17. Javier Armstrong (verified owner) –

Bought this for my reading glasses and it’s been handy. Inside is roomier than I thought, fits my larger sunglasses fine. Practical and pretty, which is a rare combination. I wish there were a larger size option. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

I bought it because I’m always losing my readers and it’s been great. Really happy with the end result. A few bags weren’t labeled as clearly as the rest. Would order again despite the small issues.

  19. Bruce Lawrence (verified owner) –

Arrived well packed and ready to start. It’s small enough to toss in a tote without adding bulk. I find it relaxing to just follow the chart and let my mind wander. The sorting tray is shallow, drills spill out if you’re not careful. Really pleased with how it turned out. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

Bought this for my reading glasses and it’s been handy. Really nice little gift that people actually use. I’d have preferred more spare drills in the least-used color. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

Really nice kit, especially for the money. The drill shapes were clean, not many chipped or stuck-together pieces. The closure is a little stiff at first. Really calming, repetitive work, and satisfying when a section is finished. Still a solid purchase.

  23. Cathy Torres (verified owner) –

This was a quick finish and I’ve used it every day since. The closure snaps shut properly and hasn’t come loose. The closure is stiff for the first few days. A really enjoyable way to pass a rainy afternoon. Worth the time it took. Would order again despite the small issues.

Wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’m very happy with it. Good weight to the materials, it doesn’t feel cheap. Drill colors are well separated, no squinting to tell two shades apart. Took me a while to get the hang of the multi-placer tip. Great way to slow down at the end of a busy day. A small gift that gets used every day. Small issues, but nothing that would stop me ordering again.

I’ve made three of these now as gifts and everyone loves them. The case is rigid enough that I trust it in my bag. Some colors came with barely any extras, though I didn’t run out. It sits on my nightstand and gets used nightly. Good enough that I’d buy another.

Picked this up during a sale and it was money well spent. No missing colors and no shortage on the ones used most. The repetitive motion is oddly satisfying, one of those simple pleasures. A magnetic closure would be nicer than the snap. Really happy with the end result. Good enough that I’d buy another.

Got this for my purse so my glasses stop floating around loose. The drills are uniform and sit flat with no gaps. Gave these as stocking stuffers and they were a hit. Took a bit longer to arrive than I expected. Overall happy, just a few small things.

  33. TheTidyTable (verified owner) –

Bought two, one for my desk and one for my purse. Everything needed to finish was in the box, nothing extra to buy. I do this while listening to music and the time disappears. The floral pattern is what made me choose this one. I wish it came in more colour options. A really satisfying project from start to finish. Would buy again; the notes are minor.
