Why This Large Flowers Eyeglass Case Earns Its Place in the Bag

Here the Large Flowers pattern is an oversized bloom filling the composition edge to edge, petals sweeping beyond the frame with visible curvature and depth, worked through bold coral and amber petals with deep green stems against a dark ground. The finished character is dramatic and warm — deliberate, not accidental. Large-format florals work where a smaller print would get lost — the scale is the decoration. It suits people who want an everyday object to look considered rather than plain. Designed for statement walls and feature corners, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference Q67. Working at this scale means the petal transitions have room to run across whole rows of drills, which is what gives the bloom its sweep Which keeps the design honest about what it is.

large-format florals work where a smaller print would get lost — the scale is the decoration. Which is the reason it works as well in statement walls and feature corners as it does anywhere else.

DOTZSO designed this one for slow sessions and long service, not for a shelf. The kit arrives with the printed case panel, DOTZSO resin drills, a tray, a comfort-grip pen, a wax caddy and step-by-step pictorial guidance.

Built to be carried rather than admired, the case pairs a rigid panel with a fully seated and sealed drill surface.

The face is fully drilled, so the surface reflects evenly across the panel.

What’s in the Box

  • 1 × printed case panel
  • 1 × rigid case body / frame
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Lay the printed case panel flat and let it settle before starting.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one section at a time rather than across the whole panel.
  5. Continue until the panel is covered, then press the finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Seal the surface and fit the panel into the case frame once the drills are fully seated.

Finish it in your own time, then put the case in your pocket and forget it is handmade.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much of the Large Flowers eyeglass case kit comes in the box?

Yes. The Large Flowers eyeglass case kit ships complete with the case body and frame shown in the product images, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference Q67.

Does the Large Flowers eyeglass case kit resist normal wear and tear?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Large Flowers design holds under normal use. The rigid shell is what protects the drills in a bag, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. Coverage on the Large Flowers face does not degrade with use.

What is recommended for the Large Flowers surface?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge it or put it through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Large Flowers palette, bold coral and amber petals tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. Do not soak the Large Flowers piece, even briefly.

Is the Large Flowers piece completely drilled?

The panel is drilled across the whole face, so the finished case has complete coverage. The Large Flowers artwork is drawn so that an oversized bloom filling the composition edge to edge reads clearly at any distance. The Large Flowers surface is worked as one continuous piece.

Does the Large Flowers design take a single sitting?

Roughly one to two evenings for most people, depending on the pattern density. The Large Flowers design is dramatic and warm, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. Progress is steady rather than dramatic on the Large Flowers piece.

How approachable is the Large Flowers design for newcomers?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the case panel and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Large Flowers layout is dramatic and warm, which helps on a first attempt. There is no follow-up order to make.

Got this for my mom and she uses it every single day. The closure snaps shut properly and hasn’t come loose. The interior could use a bit more padding. It’s a slow, quiet hobby and I like that about it. Overall a good experience.

  2. Jessica W. (verified owner) –

Ordered on a Monday, had it by the weekend. Finished size is just right for a standard pair of readers. The adhesive is plenty sticky, the drills stay exactly where I put them. Quiet Sunday mornings with this and a coffee is my favorite part of the week. The mandala subject is rendered with more detail than I expected. Gave it to my aunt as a gift and it was a big hit. A magnetic closure would have been nicer than the snap. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

  3. Eloise Holloway (verified owner) –

Such an easy kit to get going with. I’ve already ordered more for the rest of the family. The box arrived a bit dented, though nothing inside was damaged. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

  4. Floyd Nunez (verified owner) –

I’ve made three of these now as gifts and everyone loves them. The sparkle on these drills is genuinely nice. The adhesive held firmly without any lifting at the edges. I keep it by my chair and pick it up whenever I have a few minutes. The wax was a little stiff at first. The colors stay true once it’s finished. Worth it, just go in with the right expectations.

  5. Jacob Wood (verified owner) –

Such a clever idea – pretty and actually practical. The flower motif makes it feel special. The drill shapes were clean, not many chipped or stuck-together pieces. I take it to my book club and work on it while we chat. The pen was fine, though I ended up using my own. Small issues, but nothing that would stop me ordering again.

  6. Marcella Mason (verified owner) –

This was a practical pick and it turned out pretty too. Inside is roomier than I thought, fits my larger sunglasses fine. Colors match the listing photo really closely. I keep it set up on a side table and do a bit whenever I have ten minutes. The box arrived a bit dented, though nothing inside was damaged. I keep one at home and one in the car. A solid purchase with a couple of notes.

  7. Teri Barber (verified owner) –

I’ve finished four of these now and this might be my favorite. The colors read clearly against both my glasses frames. I’ve made several now for family members. Slightly snug for my oversized sunglasses. Still worth it overall.

  8. Melissa Hedrick (verified owner) –

I picked these up as stocking stuffers and they were a hit. Finish is even and the whole thing looks tidy once you’re done. There were slightly more drills than needed, so it took longer than planned. I settled into a rhythm after the first section. I’ll be ordering from this shop again. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

  9. Norris Shaffer (verified owner) –

I ordered a set to match each pair of glasses I own. The bloom motif makes it feel special. The canvas had a faint mark from the printing on one edge. It sits on my nightstand and holds my glasses perfectly. I’d order it again knowing what I know now.

  10. Rachel P. (verified owner) –

I made one for my sunglasses and now I want one for every pair. The fit is snug enough that glasses don’t rattle around. Drill colors are well separated, no squinting to tell two shades apart. The seam is visible if you look closely. Nice to have something that gets me off my phone for a while. It’s a charming mandala piece and everyone comments on it. Gave it to my son as a gift and it was a big hit. Still a solid purchase.

Perfect size for a first diamond art project. The artwork looks even better in person than the photos. The interior could use a bit more padding. Holds its shape nicely, doesn’t collapse when empty. I picked it up whenever I had a spare twenty minutes. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

Really nice kit, especially for the money. I picked the mandala version and the colors are lovely. Inside is roomier than I thought, fits my larger sunglasses fine. Great way to slow down at the end of a busy day. The seam is visible if you look closely. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

I’ve made three of these now as gifts and everyone loves them. The drills came in labeled bags, which made sorting painless. It arrives with quite a bit of packaging for the size. I’ve already ordered more for the rest of the family. Mild quibbles, but a good purchase.

  14. Isabella S. (verified owner) –

Honestly better quality than I expected for the price. Gave one to my mom for Mother’s Day and she carries it everywhere. A magnetic closure would have been nicer than the snap. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

  15. Rita Carranza (verified owner) –

Exactly what the listing described, no surprises. The drills arrived clean, not stuck together in clumps. I got through it faster than I thought I would. Took me a while to get the hang of the multi-placer tip. It’s a small piece that does real work. Still a good kit overall.

The size is right for tossing in a bag. I’ve gotten so many compliments on it. A magnetic closure would have been nicer than the snap. The floral subject matter is right up my street. Solid overall, just a couple of nitpicks.

Picked this up to try something different and really enjoyed it. I went with the floral version and the colors are lovely. Slightly snug for my oversized sunglasses. Plenty of margin around the edges for framing or trimming. It’s a slow, quiet hobby and I like that about it. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

My sister got me into these and this is my latest one. The floral artwork comes together beautifully as you work. Wish it came in a larger size option. Really pleased with how it turned out. Small issues, but nothing that would stop me ordering again.

Small enough to finish in one sitting, which I loved. The drills clicked into place without needing much pressure. I wish the printed legend was a little bigger. I like having a project that doesn’t demand much thought. It’s on my desk at work and people comment on it. Good enough that I’d buy another.

I finished mine in an evening and started another. It’s the most useful thing I’ve made in a while. I wish the printed legend was a little bigger. Minor gripes aside, I’d buy it again.

  21. Cameron Winters (verified owner) –

Got this for my purse so my glasses stop floating around loose. Finished size is just right for a standard pair of readers. It’s a calm, repetitive hobby and that’s exactly what I wanted. It makes a lovely gift and arrives nicely packaged. The closure is a little stiff at first. Small issues, but nothing that would stop me ordering again.

  22. Phillip Prescott (verified owner) –

Made this for my husband’s sunglasses and he uses it constantly. Small enough to slip into a tote without bulk. The bloom pattern is what made me choose this one. Some colors had very few spare drills. It sits on my nightstand and holds my glasses perfectly. Would still recommend it.
