Why This Art Set Earns Its Place on the Table

This one works a composed arrangement of bold shapes and intersecting bands, balanced asymmetrically with one anchoring element into a Art composition, coloured in strong complementary tones deliberately held in tension against a neutral field. The effect is bold and graphic and unfussy. Graphic art pieces work where a scene would be too soft — studios and workspaces want the tension. It is designed for regular use in a busy house, not occasional display. Designed for statement walls and creative workspaces, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference BD587. graphic art pieces work where a scene would be too soft — studios and workspaces want the tension. That is the part that matters most here.

graphic art pieces work where a scene would be too soft — studios and workspaces want the tension. The bold colouring is what allows it to sit in statement walls and creative workspaces without dominating.

Every DOTZSO diamond painting kit is built for people who want the make to feel calm and the result to be something they actually use. Contents: colour-printed canvas, DOTZSO resin drills, sorting tray, comfort-grip pen, wax caddy and illustrated step-by-step instructions.

The construction is deliberately simple: anti-slip body, cork backing, seated drill surface. That combination is what keeps the set out of a drawer.

The set runs to 6 coasters, each on the same cork-backed base for a consistent feel in the hand.

What’s in the Box

  • 6 × anti-slip coaster with cork-backed base
  • 1 × display holder / stand
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Unroll the canvas on a flat surface and let it settle under something weighted if it has been rolled tight.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one coaster at a time rather than moving across the whole set.
  5. Complete all coasters, then press each finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Finally, leave the set on the table for a few hours before first use so the drills settle fully.

Complete the set over a few quiet evenings, then put it to work — these are made to be handled.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the whole Art coaster set contained in a single pack?

Yes. The Art coaster set ships complete with the stand shown in the product images, so the coasters have somewhere to live when they are not in use, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference BD587.

Is the drilling on the Art design secure once sealed?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Art design holds under normal use. The cork-backed base is what stops condensation reaching the table, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. The Art piece is robust once the final pass is complete.

Is there a wrong way to clean the Art coaster set?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge them or put them through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Art palette, strong complementary tones deliberately held in tension against a neutral field tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. Keep the Art piece away from standing water.

Is every part of the Art design drilled?

The drilled finish and palette are matched across the whole set, but each coaster carries its own printed motif. The Art artwork is drawn so that a composed arrangement of bold shapes and intersecting bands reads clearly at any distance. That applies across the whole Art face.

Can the Art coaster set be finished in a weekend?

Roughly 30 to 45 minutes each for most people, so a full set is a few evenings rather than one sitting. The Art design is bold and graphic, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. The Art layout is easy to put down and pick up again.

Would the Art project suit a first-timer?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the cork-backed base and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Art layout is bold and graphic, which helps on a first attempt. Nothing is sold separately for this piece.

Bought a set as a hostess gift and kept a set for myself. It turned into something I actually want to display, not shove in a drawer. The autumn subject is rendered with more detail than I expected. Exactly what I was hoping for.

Was looking for a small diamond art project and these nailed it. The fall pattern is what drew me in and it didn’t disappoint. Each one took me an evening to finish, quicker than I expected. We actually use them every day, not just display them. Recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing craft.

  3. Sierra L. (verified owner) –

Exactly what the listing described, no surprises. There were extra drills left over in every color when I finished. The fall pattern is what drew me in and it didn’t disappoint. I gave a set to my son’s teacher and she was thrilled. Instructions were pretty minimal, though there are plenty of tutorials online. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

This one caught my eye and I’m glad it did. The cork backing is a nice touch, they don’t slide around on the table. The holder doesn’t match the coasters exactly in finish. I bring them out for guests and always get asked about them. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

  6. Frances F. (verified owner) –

I do these while dinner is in the oven. Great little time filler. Nice thickness – not the flimsy cardboard kind. Did most of it over a long weekend and it was such a pleasant way to pass the time. The fall design is even prettier in person than in the photos. Highly recommend.

Bought it as a starter kit for myself and it worked out great. The cork backing is a nice touch, they don’t slide around on the table. The repetitive motion is oddly satisfying, one of those simple pleasures. They look lovely stacked in the holder on the coffee table. Really pleased with this one.

I grabbed these to have something small to work on in the evenings. They wipe clean easily, which matters with coffee and kids around. My friends all want one now. They’re a bit smaller than I pictured for a large tumbler. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

I grabbed these to have something small to work on in the evenings. The holder fits all 6 pieces neatly, keeps them from getting lost. Did most of it over a long weekend and it was such a pleasant way to pass the time. Already ordered another one from DOTZSO. Will be back for more.

Saw a finished version online and tracked down this kit the same day. The canvas print is sharp and the symbols are legible. Did most of it over a long weekend and it was such a pleasant way to pass the time. They sit by the coffee maker and get used constantly. Delighted with it.

I picked these up to add something handmade to the coffee table. Cork on the bottom plus the drill top makes them feel solid. No missing colors and nothing short in the high-use shades. I worked through this over a few weeks of evenings and loved it. The colors work beautifully with the room. I’d recommend it to a friend.

These little coasters are the perfect size for a quick project. The edges came finished cleanly with no rough spots. I did it in short bursts and it never felt rushed. I gave a set to a friend and she uses them constantly. It would help to include a larger paper chart. I’d order it again knowing what I know now.

These are great for a first-timer, not intimidating at all. The cork is dense, not the crumbly kind that sheds. Great little housewarming gift. Glad I went with this one.

These are the first coasters I’ve made and I’m sold on the format. The finish on each coaster matched the others exactly. I’d prefer slightly thicker cork on the base. I like having something mindful to do that doesn’t need a screen. I’d order it again knowing what I know now.

I keep a set going on the kitchen counter. All eight coasters came out the same size, which isn’t always the case. I did most of it over a lazy weekend and enjoyed every minute. One coaster was slightly thicker than the others. Would buy again; the notes are minor.

I picked this up on a whim and ended up really enjoying it. Each color was packed generously, I had plenty to spare. The holder is a little loose, the coasters rattle when you move it. They’re a hit whenever we have people over. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.
