Why This Flower Set Earns Its Place on the Table

Here the Flower motif is built around a single bloom captured fully open, petals layered from tight centre to relaxed outer edge, with two leaves framing the stem, carried by blush and coral petals with fresh green stems against a soft cream ground. The result reads as gentle and bright — considered rather than busy. A single flower shot through with graded colour does more for a small wall than a busy bouquet. It suits people who like their craft projects to disappear into daily life. Designed for bedrooms and quiet morning spaces, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference BD648. The petal transitions use three close shades in sequence, which is what gives the bloom volume instead of a flat outline.

a single flower shot through with graded colour does more for a small wall than a busy bouquet. In practice that means the finished piece sits comfortably in bedrooms and quiet morning spaces, where the gentle character of the palette does the decorating for you.

Each DOTZSO set is put together so the session passes quietly and the table ends up better for it. You receive a colour-printed canvas, DOTZSO resin drills, a sorting tray, a comfort-grip pen, a wax caddy and clear pictorial instructions.

What separates a usable coaster set from a decorative one is the base. The cork backing stops condensation reaching the table, which is the detail most diamond art sets skip.

The 6 pieces share one palette, which keeps the set coherent whether stacked or scattered.

What’s in the Box

  • 6 × anti-slip coaster with cork-backed base
  • 1 × display holder / stand
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Unroll the canvas on a flat surface and let it settle under something weighted if it has been rolled tight.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one coaster at a time rather than moving across the whole set.
  5. Complete all coasters, then press each finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Finally, leave the set on the table for a few hours before first use so the drills settle fully.

Go through the set one piece at a time, then let the finished work earn its keep.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this coaster set come ready to start, with no add-ons to buy?

Yes. The Flower coaster set ships complete with the stand shown in the product images, so the coasters have somewhere to live when they are not in use, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference BD648.

Are the drills on the Flower design fixed firmly once completed?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Flower design holds under normal use. The cork-backed base is what stops condensation reaching the table, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. The sealing step at the end is what locks it in.

How do I remove marks from the Flower surface?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge them or put them through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Flower palette, blush and coral petals tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. There is no special product needed for the Flower surface.

Does the Flower design have any unworked areas?

The drilled finish and palette are matched across the whole set, but each coaster carries its own printed motif. The Flower artwork is drawn so that a single bloom captured fully open reads clearly at any distance. The Flower piece has a uniform drilled finish.

Does the Flower design take a single sitting?

Roughly 30 to 45 minutes each for most people, so a full set is a few evenings rather than one sitting. The Flower design is gentle and bright, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. Colour-block working speeds up the Flower design considerably.

How simple is the Flower design to follow?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the cork-backed base and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Flower layout is gentle and bright, which helps on a first attempt. There is nothing missing from the box.

  1. Kayla V. –

Such a fun format – one coaster at a time, no big commitment. Each color was packed generously, I had plenty to spare. The drill shapes were clean, not many chipped or stuck-together pieces. The bloom detail comes together really nicely once it’s finished. Great way to slow down at the end of a busy day. I’ve had three people ask me where I bought it. There were slightly more drills than needed, so it took longer than planned. Would order again despite the small issues.

I’ve been doing these for about a year and this is a solid kit. The drill shapes were clean, not many chipped or stuck-together pieces. This is the kind of craft that’s genuinely calming after a hectic day. We actually use them every day, not just display them. The flower palette is softer in person, which I actually prefer. Five stars from me.

I made one the first night just to see how it went, then did the rest over the week. The drills are bright and consistent in size, no weird off-color batches. It’s a lovely quiet hobby, and I like having something to show for it at the end. Everyone who comes over picks one up to look at it. Recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing craft.

Bought a set to use at our lake house and ended up making all eight. Cork base means no scratches on our wood table, which I was worried about. Finished piece looks even better in person than in the listing photos. Definitely recommend giving it a try.

Bought a set as a hostess gift and kept a set for myself. The drills are bright and consistent in size, no weird off-color batches. I set it up next to the window and do a few rows whenever the light is good. It’s a charming floral piece and everyone comments on it. Recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing craft.

Got these for the kitchen table and they look so cute. Everything I needed was in the box – pen, wax, tray and tweezers. Would make a really nice gift, and it arrives boxed nicely. They’re a bit smaller than I pictured for a large tumbler. Would order again despite the small issues.

Wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’m very happy with it. The holder is sturdy enough that I actually keep them in it. No missing colors and no shortage on the ones used most. I did this with my mom on the weekends and we both got into it. Finished piece looks even better in person than in the listing photos. Great kit, no complaints.

These are my go-to when I want a small craft that still feels rewarding. The drill shapes were clean, not many chipped or stuck-together pieces. These are great for a first-timer, not intimidating at all. The finish on each coaster matched the others exactly. I settled into a rhythm after the first section. I went with the floral version and the colors are lovely. They look lovely stacked in the holder on the coffee table. Very happy customer.

These are the first coasters I’ve made and I’m sold on the format. The kit included more than enough drills for the full design. I’m a sucker for anything bloom-themed. I do a section a night with a podcast on. Better than I expected.

I’ve tried a few brands and this one holds up well. Nice thickness – not the flimsy cardboard kind. The drills sit nice and flush, no gaps showing the surface underneath. Took me a while to get the hang of the multi-placer tip. Keeps my hands busy during long flights and hotel evenings. Gave a set to my neighbor as a housewarming gift and she loved them. Still a solid purchase.

I wanted coasters that didn’t look like everyone else’s and these fit. They wipe clean easily, which matters with kids around. The work is repetitive in a good way. Instructions were pretty minimal, though there are plenty of tutorials online. Would recommend it with those notes.

Ordered two kits, this was the one I finished first. Using them on the patio table and they’ve held up fine. It’s a charming flower piece and everyone comments on it. One of the 6 coasters had a slightly off-center print. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

I keep a set going on the kitchen counter. Each color was in its own pouch, clearly numbered. The holder is a bit loose so they rattle when moved. I finished it faster than I expected because I kept coming back to it. Happy enough that I’d buy another.
