Why This Flower Set Earns Its Place on the Table

A single bloom captured fully open, petals layered from tight centre to relaxed outer edge, with two leaves framing the stem forms the subject of this Flower piece, worked in blush and coral petals with fresh green stems against a soft cream ground. The character is gentle and bright, and it stays that way at any distance. A single flower shot through with graded colour does more for a small wall than a busy bouquet. It is for makers who prefer a project with an obvious job at the end. Designed for bedrooms and quiet morning spaces, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference BD150. The petal transitions use three close shades in sequence, which is what gives the bloom volume instead of a flat outline That is the detail that separates this from a generic Flower print.

a single flower shot through with graded colour does more for a small wall than a busy bouquet. Placed in bedrooms and quiet morning spaces, it reads as part of the room rather than an addition to it.

Every DOTZSO diamond painting kit is built for people who want the make to feel calm and the result to be something they actually use. Contents: colour-printed canvas, DOTZSO resin drills, sorting tray, comfort-grip pen, wax caddy and illustrated step-by-step instructions.

The construction is deliberately simple: anti-slip body, cork backing, seated drill surface. That combination is what keeps the set out of a drawer.

The set runs to 8 coasters, each on the same cork-backed base for a consistent feel in the hand.

What’s in the Box

  • 8 × anti-slip coaster with cork-backed base
  • 1 × display holder / stand
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Unroll the canvas on a flat surface and let it settle under something weighted if it has been rolled tight.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one coaster at a time rather than moving across the whole set.
  5. Complete all coasters, then press each finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Finally, leave the set on the table for a few hours before first use so the drills settle fully.

Complete the set over a few quiet evenings, then put it to work — these are made to be handled.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much of the Flower coaster set comes in the box?

Yes. The Flower coaster set ships complete with the stand shown in the product images, so the coasters have somewhere to live when they are not in use, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference BD150.

How tolerant is the Flower surface of daily use?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Flower design holds under normal use. The cork-backed base is what stops condensation reaching the table, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. Give the seal a full cure and the Flower finish will hold.

How do I remove dust from the Flower coaster set?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge them or put them through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Flower palette, blush and coral petals tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. There is no need for anything stronger than a damp cloth.

Does the Flower artwork have unworked sections?

The drilled finish and palette are matched across the whole set, but each coaster carries its own printed motif. The Flower artwork is drawn so that a single bloom captured fully open reads clearly at any distance. The Flower piece has complete drill coverage.

Can the Flower coaster set be worked on in spare moments?

Roughly 30 to 45 minutes each for most people, so a full set is a few evenings rather than one sitting. The Flower design is gentle and bright, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. Longer if you prefer to work the Flower design slowly.

How beginner-safe is the Flower coaster set?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the cork-backed base and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Flower layout is gentle and bright, which helps on a first attempt. Every element needed is supplied.

  1. Jodi Budd –

I like having a small kit that doesn’t take a month. They’re a nice size for a standard mug, and even a wider tumbler fits. The edges could be sealed a little better for daily use. It’s easy to lose track of time once you get going. Mild quibbles, but a good purchase.

This one caught my eye on the new arrivals page. The set stacks neatly in the holder on the shelf. They’re a hit whenever we have people over. The holder is a bit loose so they rattle when moved. Overall a good experience.

  3. Luis R. (verified owner) –

I’ve been doing these for about a year and this is a solid kit. The adhesive is plenty sticky, the drills stay exactly where I put them. I bring them out for guests and always get asked about them. The holder doesn’t match the coasters exactly in finish. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

  4. Jackie Clemons (verified owner) –

So glad I added this one to my cart. The flower pattern is what made me choose this one. There were slightly more drills than needed, so it took longer than planned. The finished piece looks far more expensive than the kit cost. A good buy, with one or two caveats.

  5. Henry T. (verified owner) –

Perfect little kit – not overwhelming like a full canvas. The drills came in labeled bags, which made sorting painless. Only small gripe is that a few drills had little burrs on them. I work on it while listening to an audiobook and the time just disappears. Still worth it overall.

  6. Minnie Beaumont (verified owner) –

I like having a small kit that doesn’t take a month. The cork backing is properly attached, not just glued on the edges. The sparkle on these drills is genuinely nice. Only small gripe is that a few drills had little burrs on them. Nice mindful work that keeps you present. They fit a standard mug or glass without overhang. I’d order again, just knowing what to expect.

I’m not usually a craft person, but this one converted me. The cork backing keeps them from sliding and protects the table. I did most of it on weekend mornings with coffee. The set looks cohesive and well made on the shelf. The set is eight, which is more than I strictly needed. Still a good kit overall.

I bought this for our weekend place and it’s been a hit. The set stacks neatly in the drawer when not in use. They’re a bit smaller than I pictured for a large tumbler. They’re a hit whenever we have people over. Mild quibbles, but a good purchase.

These are the first coasters I’ve made and I’m sold on the format. All eight coasters came out the same size, which isn’t always the case. Quiet Sunday mornings with this and a coffee is my favorite part of the week. They sit by the coffee maker and get used constantly. I wish the box were sturdier for storage. I’d order again, just knowing what to expect.

  10. Darrell Blevins (verified owner) –

I made one the first night just to see how it went, then did the rest over the week. The pen grip stayed comfortable through long sessions. The adhesive held well across several weeks of working on it. Something about placing the drills is very settling. One coaster had a marginally off-center print. Made a set for my sister and now she wants more. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

Ordered two kits, this was the one I finished first. Cork base means no scratches on our wood table, which I was worried about. The edges could be sealed a bit better for daily use. Really calming, repetitive work, and satisfying when a section is finished. Would order again despite the small issues.

Bought this after finishing my last kit and it was a good call. Plenty of margin around the edges for framing or trimming. The floral motif makes it feel special. Great for unwinding after a busy week. This one might be my favorite finish yet. The included pen wore out partway through. Still worth it overall.

  13. Courtney F. (verified owner) –

Perfect little kit – not overwhelming like a full canvas. It turned into something I actually want to display, not shove in a drawer. I picked the floral version and the colors are lovely. One of the 8 coasters had a slightly off-center print. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

This arrived on a rainy Tuesday and turned the week around. They sit by the coffee maker and get used constantly. They’re a bit smaller than I pictured for a large tumbler. Would order again despite the small issues.

I keep coming back to this shop because the quality is consistent. The wax and pen that came with it worked fine right out of the box. This is a lovely bloom piece for the price. The holder finish doesn’t quite match the coasters. Perfect for a cozy evening in when you want to keep your hands busy. Worth the time it took. Would still recommend it.

  16. Gwendolyn Stuart (verified owner) –

So glad I added this one to my cart. The drill shapes were clean, not many chipped or stuck-together pieces. Nothing was crushed or bent in transit. It was easy to pick up and put down without losing my place. The adhesive picked up lint over the days I worked on it. I’ve had three people ask me where I bought it. Happy with it, with one small caveat.

  17. Devin Sawyer –

Bought a set to use at our lake house and ended up making all eight. Definitely ordering more as gifts. One of the 8 coasters had a slightly off-center print. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

I grabbed these to have something small to work on in the evenings. This is a lovely floral piece for the price. They’re sized well for a standard mug and a wider tumbler too. The drills came in labeled bags, which made sorting painless. I worked through this over a few weeks of evenings and loved it. They’ve held up well to daily coffee and tea. The edges could be sealed a little better for daily use. Would still recommend it.

Second time ordering this style, still happy with it. Great little housewarming gift. Wish the cork backing were a touch thicker. The floral palette works really well with the design. Still a solid purchase.

These are the first coasters I’ve made and I’m sold on the format. The edges are finished cleanly, no rough spots. The flower artwork is the reason I clicked. I worked through this over a few weeks of evenings and loved it. Some colors had very few spare drills. I’d order it again knowing what I know now.

Ordered on a Monday, had it by the weekend. Finish is even and the whole thing looks tidy once you’re done. Took me a while to get the hang of the multi-placer tip. It fits perfectly with the decor in the kitchen. Still worth it overall.

This one caught my eye on the new arrivals page. The backing held up fine and didn’t peel anywhere. Guests always comment on them. I went with the bloom version and the colors are lovely. The edges could be sealed a little better for daily use. A good buy, with one or two caveats.

I made one the first night just to see how it went, then did the rest over the week. If you like bloom designs, this is a good example. Nothing was crushed or bent in transit. One coaster was slightly thicker than the others. They’ve become the thing people notice first in the living room. Solid overall, just a couple of nitpicks.
