Why This Fruit Set Earns Its Place on the Table
The Fruit artwork on this canvas frames assorted fruit arranged in a loose still-life, with cut surfaces revealing seeds and inner texture alongside whole forms, worked in warm reds, oranges and greens with cool shadow tones underneath the arrangement. The overall character is abundant and cheerful rather than theatrical. Fruit still-lifes are the classic kitchen subject for a reason — they suit the room they hang in. It is for makers who prefer a project with an obvious job at the end. Designed for kitchens and dining rooms, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference BD133. The cut fruit surfaces use finer drill detail than the skins, which is what makes the still-life feel observed Put simply, fruit still-lifes are the classic kitchen subject for a reason — they suit the room they hang in.
fruit still-lifes are the classic kitchen subject for a reason — they suit the room they hang in. The abundant colouring is what allows it to sit in kitchens and dining rooms without dominating.
Every DOTZSO diamond painting kit is built for people who want the make to feel calm and the result to be something they actually use. Contents: colour-printed canvas, DOTZSO resin drills, sorting tray, comfort-grip pen, wax caddy and illustrated step-by-step instructions.
The construction is deliberately simple: anti-slip body, cork backing, seated drill surface. That combination is what keeps the set out of a drawer.
The set runs to 8 coasters, each on the same cork-backed base for a consistent feel in the hand.

What’s in the Box
- 8 × anti-slip coaster with cork-backed base
- 1 × display holder / stand
- DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
- Diamond painting tray
- Comfort-grip applicator pen
- Wax caddy
- Pictorial step-by-step instructions
How to Make It
- Unroll the canvas on a flat surface and let it settle under something weighted if it has been rolled tight.
- Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
- Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
- Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one coaster at a time rather than moving across the whole set.
- Complete all coasters, then press each finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
- Finally, leave the set on the table for a few hours before first use so the drills settle fully.
Complete the set over a few quiet evenings, then put it to work — these are made to be handled.
Frequently Asked Questions
What ships alongside the Fruit coaster set?
Yes. The Fruit coaster set ships complete with the stand shown in the product images, so the coasters have somewhere to live when they are not in use, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference BD133.
How durable is the finished Fruit coaster set?
Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Fruit design holds under normal use. The cork-backed base is what stops condensation reaching the table, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. Sealing is the step that decides the Fruit finish’s lifespan.
Is the Fruit coaster set easy to wipe down?
Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge them or put them through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Fruit palette, warm reds, oranges and greens tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. Handle the Fruit piece with dry hands where possible.
Is the Fruit design drilled as a whole?
The drilled finish and palette are matched across the whole set, but each coaster carries its own printed motif. The Fruit artwork is drawn so that assorted fruit arranged in a loose still-life reads clearly at any distance. The Fruit design leaves nothing unworked at the margins.
How long will the Fruit coaster set keep me occupied?
Roughly 30 to 45 minutes each for most people, so a full set is a few evenings rather than one sitting. The Fruit design is abundant and cheerful, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. The Fruit design is paced, not rushed.
Can a child help with the Fruit design?
Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the cork-backed base and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Fruit layout is abundant and cheerful, which helps on a first attempt. The package covers the whole project.
