Why This Ice and Snow Set Earns Its Place on the Table

This Ice and Snow design shows a snow-covered scene with frosted trees, a still frozen surface and soft drifts catching low winter light. The colour work runs through icy blue and bright white with warm amber at the low sun — an overall feel that is crisp and still, never busy. Winter scenes extend past December — the palette works through the whole cold season. It is for makers who prefer a project with an obvious job at the end. Designed for winter styling and holiday rooms, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference DB320. The drifts use graduated blues to imply shadow, which is what keeps an all-white scene from flattening out.

winter scenes extend past December — the palette works through the whole cold season. It is why the piece settles into winter styling and holiday rooms without needing the rest of the scheme to match it.

Every DOTZSO diamond painting kit is built for people who want the make to feel calm and the result to be something they actually use. Contents: colour-printed canvas, DOTZSO resin drills, sorting tray, comfort-grip pen, wax caddy and illustrated step-by-step instructions.

The construction is deliberately simple: anti-slip body, cork backing, seated drill surface. That combination is what keeps the set out of a drawer.

The set runs to 8 coasters, each on the same cork-backed base for a consistent feel in the hand.

What’s in the Box

  • 8 × anti-slip coaster with cork-backed base
  • 1 × display holder / stand
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Unroll the canvas on a flat surface and let it settle under something weighted if it has been rolled tight.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one coaster at a time rather than moving across the whole set.
  5. Complete all coasters, then press each finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Finally, leave the set on the table for a few hours before first use so the drills settle fully.

Complete the set over a few quiet evenings, then put it to work — these are made to be handled.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the coaster set shown in the photos exactly what arrives?

Yes. The Ice and Snow coaster set ships complete with the stand shown in the product images, so the coasters have somewhere to live when they are not in use, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference DB320.

Will the Ice and Snow coaster set look the same after a year of use?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Ice and Snow design holds under normal use. The cork-backed base is what stops condensation reaching the table, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. The sealing step at the end is what locks it in.

How should I clean the Ice and Snow coaster set?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge them or put them through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Ice and Snow palette, icy blue and bright white tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. A dry, soft cloth handles the routine dusting.

Is the Ice and Snow design fully drilled throughout?

The drilled finish and palette are matched across the whole set, but each coaster carries its own printed motif. The Ice and Snow artwork is drawn so that a snow-covered scene with frosted trees reads clearly at any distance. That applies across the whole Ice and Snow face.

How long does the Ice and Snow coaster set take to finish?

Roughly 30 to 45 minutes each for most people, so a full set is a few evenings rather than one sitting. The Ice and Snow design is crisp and still, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. It works well as an ongoing project.

Is the Ice and Snow coaster set suitable for a first attempt?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the cork-backed base and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Ice and Snow layout is crisp and still, which helps on a first attempt. The kit includes everything needed to start.

I keep coming back to this shop because the quality is consistent. They look lovely stacked in the holder on the coffee table. One of the 8 coasters had a slightly off-center print. Still worth it overall.

Ordered this on a quiet Sunday and it arrived faster than expected. They’re a nice size for a standard mug, and even a wider tumbler fits. They’re a bit smaller than I pictured for a large tumbler. The process was straightforward enough to do while chatting. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

I made one the first night just to see how it went, then did the rest over the week. Each one took me two sittings to finish, quicker than I expected. Finished piece looks even better in person than in the listing photos. The packaging was a little crushed on one corner. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

This arrived in perfect condition, nothing bent or spilled. The edges are smooth, so nothing catches on a cloth when I wipe them. I’ve been doing it in the evenings with my partner, we take turns on sections. I’ve had three people ask me where I bought it. So glad I went with this one.
