Why This Landscape Set Earns Its Place on the Table

Here the Landscape motif is built around a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist, with a still lake catching the sky and pine slopes anchoring both banks, carried by cool pine green and slate blue with a band of warm light at the horizon. The result reads as expansive and quiet — considered rather than busy. Landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. It is for makers who prefer a project with an obvious job at the end. Designed for living rooms and reading corners, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference BD250. Depth is built through graded blues rather than outlines, so the scene pulls the eye inward the longer it hangs.

landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. In living rooms and reading corners the piece holds its own against the surrounding colour rather than fighting it.

Every DOTZSO diamond painting kit is built for people who want the make to feel calm and the result to be something they actually use. Contents: colour-printed canvas, DOTZSO resin drills, sorting tray, comfort-grip pen, wax caddy and illustrated step-by-step instructions.

The construction is deliberately simple: anti-slip body, cork backing, seated drill surface. That combination is what keeps the set out of a drawer.

The set runs to 8 coasters, each on the same cork-backed base for a consistent feel in the hand.

What’s in the Box

  • 8 × anti-slip coaster with cork-backed base
  • 1 × display holder / stand
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Unroll the canvas on a flat surface and let it settle under something weighted if it has been rolled tight.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one coaster at a time rather than moving across the whole set.
  5. Complete all coasters, then press each finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Finally, leave the set on the table for a few hours before first use so the drills settle fully.

Complete the set over a few quiet evenings, then put it to work — these are made to be handled.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is anything in the coaster set sold separately?

Yes. The Landscape coaster set ships complete with the stand shown in the product images, so the coasters have somewhere to live when they are not in use, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference BD250.

Is the Landscape surface tough enough for daily contact?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Landscape design holds under normal use. The cork-backed base is what stops condensation reaching the table, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. The Landscape surface tolerates being picked up and moved.

Does the Landscape coaster set need special care?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge them or put them through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Landscape palette, cool pine green and slate blue tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. A microfibre cloth works well on the Landscape surface.

Does the Landscape design rely on printed detail anywhere?

The drilled finish and palette are matched across the whole set, but each coaster carries its own printed motif. The Landscape artwork is drawn so that a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist reads clearly at any distance. The Landscape surface is worked as one continuous piece.

What is the pace like on the Landscape coaster set?

Roughly 30 to 45 minutes each for most people, so a full set is a few evenings rather than one sitting. The Landscape design is expansive and quiet, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. The Landscape pattern is easy to work in short bursts.

Is the Landscape coaster set a reasonable starting project?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the cork-backed base and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Landscape layout is expansive and quiet, which helps on a first attempt. The kit is complete on delivery.

This arrived in perfect condition, nothing bent or spilled. I gave a set to my son’s teacher and she was thrilled. Some colors came with barely any extras, though I didn’t run out. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

I grabbed these to have something small to work on in the evenings. Nice thickness – not the flimsy cardboard kind. Only small gripe is that a few drills had little burrs on them. Made a set for my book club and everyone wanted the link. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

  3. Yuki T. –

Bought a set to use at our lake house and ended up making all eight. They’re a nice size for a standard mug, and even a wider tumbler fits. The holder doesn’t match the coasters exactly in finish. Nice mindful project – you can’t think about much else while you’re placing drills. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

  4. Sanjay C. (verified owner) –

I wanted something I could finish in a sitting or two and these were it. The holder is sturdy enough that I actually keep them in it. It’s a slow, quiet hobby and I like that about it. The adhesive picked up a bit of dust while I was working over several days. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

I wanted something I could finish in a sitting or two and these were it. The holder keeps the set together and tidy. The set is eight, which is more than I strictly needed. It’s a slow, quiet hobby and I like that about it. Still a solid purchase.

This was my first diamond painting kit and I’m officially hooked. The adhesive held firmly without any lifting at the edges. It’s the kind of task that quiets a busy mind. The finished piece has real presence. I’d have liked a few more spare drills in the pale colors. Solid overall, just a couple of nitpicks.

This one caught my eye on the new arrivals page. The backing held up fine and didn’t peel anywhere. I worked on this during my lunch breaks and it made the days feel better. The colors work beautifully with the room. One coaster was slightly thicker than the others. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

  8. Leona Clemons (verified owner) –

Perfect for when you want a finished project fast. I’ve already had several people ask where it came from. The edges could be sealed a bit better for daily use. Overall a good experience.

These were a housewarming gift and I nearly kept them. Each coaster is a good thickness and feels sturdy in the hand. The artwork looks even better in person than the photos. It’s found a permanent spot in the house. They’re a bit smaller than I pictured for a large tumbler. Good kit — the notes above are minor.

Second time ordering this style, still happy with it. The edges are smooth, so nothing catches on a cloth when I wipe them. A couple of the darker shades were hard to tell apart. Really calming, repetitive work, and satisfying when a section is finished. This is a lovely landscape piece for the price. Minor gripes aside, I’d buy it again.

These are the perfect size to actually finish. They’ve held up well to daily coffee and tea. The holder finish doesn’t quite match the coasters. Small issues, but nothing that would stop me ordering again.

  12. Alyssa Clayton (verified owner) –

These were a housewarming gift and I nearly kept them. The cork keeps them from sticking to the table when there’s condensation. Wish the cork backing were a touch thicker. I do this instead of scrolling and feel much better for it. Great little housewarming gift. Would still recommend it.

These are the first coasters I’ve made and I’m sold on the format. Each one took about an evening, quicker than I expected. Nice to have a hobby that leaves you calmer than you started. They’re a bit smaller than I pictured for a large tumbler. The scenery detail is impressive up close. They’ve become the thing people notice first in the living room. Still worth it overall.

  14. Oliver Brewer (verified owner) –

Small enough to take along on a trip. The holder keeps the set together and tidy. I like having a project that doesn’t demand much thought. I’d have liked a slightly longer chart, but it was workable. Made a set for my book club and everyone wanted the link. A good buy, with one or two caveats.

I added this to my cart at 11pm and had zero regrets the next morning. The pen and wax worked fine, I didn’t need to dig out my own tools. The work is repetitive in a good way. The packaging was a little plain for a gift. It’s a lovely take on a scenery design. A useful gift that people actually keep out. Overall a good experience.

  16. Sophia Phelps –

I ordered these for the living room and they look intentional. Nice thickness – not the flimsy cardboard kind. Plenty of margin around the edges for framing or trimming. I did it in short bursts and it never felt rushed. They’re a hit whenever we have people over. One of the 8 coasters had a slightly off-center print. Mild quibbles, but a good purchase.

I do these while dinner is in the oven. Great little time filler. The holder is sturdy enough that I actually keep them in it. I keep it set up on a side table and do a bit whenever I have ten minutes. The holder doesn’t match the coasters exactly in finish. Using them on the patio table and they’ve held up fine. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

Picked this up before a long flight and it saved the trip. The drills came in labeled bags, which made sorting painless. I’d prefer slightly thicker cork on the base. It’s a good way to slow down at the end of the day. The artwork looks even better in person than the photos. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

Bought a set to use at our lake house and ended up making all eight. The holder fits all 8 pieces neatly, keeps them from getting lost. They’re a hit whenever we have people over. I wish the printed legend was a little bigger. If you like landscape designs, this is a good one to go for. Overall a good experience.

Exactly what the listing described, no surprises. Everyone who comes over picks one up to look at it. Took me a while to get the hang of the multi-placer tip. The scenery detail comes together really nicely once it’s finished. Still a solid purchase.

These little coasters are the perfect size for a quick project. The scenery pattern is what made me choose this one. Wish the cork backing were a touch thicker. They’ve become part of the everyday routine here. Would order again despite the small issues.

I don’t usually leave reviews but this one deserved it. The cork backing is a nice touch, they don’t slide around on the table. Something about placing the drills is very settling. Great housewarming gift, small and thoughtful. They’re a bit small for a large tumbler. I’d recommend it with that one note.

Ordered it after seeing one a friend finished, and I get the appeal now. They bring a bit of charm to the coffee table. One of the 8 coasters had a slightly off-center print. Overall happy, just a few small things.

Was looking for a small diamond art project and these nailed it. The finish on each coaster is consistent across the set. The drills have a nice sparkle to them, not dull or flat. I do this on the porch in the summer and it’s lovely. A few bags weren’t labeled as clearly as the rest. I bring them out for guests and always get asked about them. Worth it despite the small things.

Bought these to have on hand for last-minute hostess gifts. The backing grips the table instead of sliding around. I like having a project that doesn’t demand much thought. The holder finish doesn’t quite match the coasters. Worth it, just go in with the right expectations.

Honestly better quality than I expected for the price. The landscape pattern is what made me choose this one. Cork base means no scratches on our wood table, which I was worried about. Everyone who sees it asks how long it took. The sorting tray is shallow, drills spill out if you’re not careful. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

This was a birthday gift to myself and it hit the spot. Extra drills were included for every color, which I appreciated. I do this on the porch in the summer and it’s lovely. They’ve held up without a single scratch. The tray included is on the small side. A good buy, with one or two caveats.

Perfect for when you want a finished project fast. The wax and pen that came with it worked fine right out of the box. The scenery detail is impressive up close. The pen that came with it is a bit flimsy, I swapped in my own. I take it on the porch in the evenings when the weather is nice. Overall a good experience.

Ordered this as a small pick-me-up and it worked. Cork on the bottom plus the drill top makes them feel solid. It’s my go-to when I need a quiet evening. Only small gripe is that a few drills had little burrs on them. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

Perfect little kit – not overwhelming like a full canvas. The holder keeps the set together and tidy. The landscape artwork is the reason I clicked. Really calming, repetitive work, and satisfying when a section is finished. The cork on one had a small rough patch. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

These coasters have become the little project I look forward to. The drills clicked into place without needing much pressure. One color had a couple of misshapen drills, but spares covered it. They’ve held up without a single scratch. This is a lovely landscape piece for the price. Minor gripes aside, I’d buy it again.

Got a set for the office and they dress up my desk. Everything I needed was in the box – pen, wax, tray and tweezers. There were extra drills left over in every color when I finished. Perfect for winding down before bed, much better than watching another show. They look great on the sideboard and are genuinely useful. A couple of the darker shades were hard to tell apart in low light. Would still recommend it.
