About This Landscape Design

A layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist, with a still lake catching the sky and pine slopes anchoring both banks forms the subject of this Landscape piece, worked in cool pine green and slate blue with a band of warm light at the horizon. The character is expansive and quiet, and it stays that way at any distance. Landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. It is for people who relax through repetitive, hands-busy work. Designed for living rooms and reading corners, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference Q4685-Q4688. landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it, and the treatment of the colour is what carries it.

landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. Placed in living rooms and reading corners, it reads as part of the room rather than an addition to it.

Every DOTZSO diamond painting kit is made for steady, screen-free sessions that end with something you can hang. Contents include a colour-printed canvas, DOTZSO resin drills, a sorting tray, a comfort-grip pen, a wax caddy and illustrated instructions.

Consistent coverage is the goal, and full drill is how it is achieved. Nothing is left bare, so the surface reflects evenly across the whole piece.

The kit includes 4 canvases, which extends the project well beyond a single session.

What’s in the Box

  • 4 × colour-printed canvas
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Unroll the canvas on a flat surface and let it settle under something weighted if it has been rolled tight.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one colour block at a time rather than jumping around the canvas.
  5. Continue until the design is complete, then press the finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Seat the canvas in its frame, or store it flat, once the surface has been pressed.

Complete it in your own time, then frame it — a finished DOTZSO canvas is meant to be hung, not stored.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the whole Landscape diamond painting kit contained in a single pack?

Yes. The Landscape diamond painting kit ships complete with everything shown in the product images, so there is nothing else to source, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference Q4685-Q4688.

Will the Landscape finish dull or lift with use?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Landscape design holds under normal use. The sealed surface handles normal handling, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. Coverage on the Landscape face does not degrade with use.

How do I maintain the Landscape diamond painting kit long term?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge it or put it through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Landscape palette, cool pine green and slate blue tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. Avoid dishwashers entirely for the Landscape piece.

How dense is the drilling on the Landscape design?

The round resin drills are colour-sorted and matched to the printed symbol key. The Landscape artwork is drawn so that a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist reads clearly at any distance. There is no printed fill showing through on the Landscape design.

Can the Landscape diamond painting kit be finished in a weekend?

Plan for two to four evenings, depending on the size of the canvas. The Landscape design is expansive and quiet, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. It suits a routine of half an hour at a time.

Would I cope with the Landscape design as a novice?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the canvas and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Landscape layout is expansive and quiet, which helps on a first attempt. The kit is ready to work on arrival.

I’ve done a handful of these now and this one is up there with the best. Great value for what you get. The symbols are quite small in the detailed areas. The landscape palette is softer in person, which I actually prefer. Still worth it overall.

Took it slow, a section at a time, and really enjoyed the process. The canvas printing is crisp and the symbols are easy to read, even in low light. Took longer than the estimated time, but that’s on me. Keeps my hands busy during long flights and hotel evenings. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

  3. Grace B. –

Bigger than it looks in the photos, which was a nice surprise. Color count is higher than my earlier kits, which shows in the finished piece. The canvas arrived folded rather than rolled, took a while to flatten. Framed in a simple black frame and it looks like real art. Still a solid purchase.

  4. Vanessa T. (verified owner) –

Took me a few weeks of evenings and I loved every minute. Nice large format, the finished piece makes a real statement. Perfect for winding down before bed, much better than watching another show. The canvas had a slight crease from shipping, though it flattened out. It’s framed and hanging in our the hallway now. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

  5. Desiree Carranza (verified owner) –

Ordered this to work on through the winter evenings. It’s hung in the bedroom and looks wonderful there. There were slightly more drills than needed, so it took longer than planned. A good buy, with one or two caveats.

  6. Stacie Sosa (verified owner) –

Ordered this to work on through the winter evenings. The canvas arrived flat rather than rolled tight. The canvas print is sharp and the symbols are legible. A really enjoyable way to pass a rainy afternoon. I’d have liked the border a touch wider for framing. Once it was framed it really pulled the room together. Still glad I ordered it overall.

Picked this up before a long flight and it saved the trip. The symbols on the chart were easy to follow from start to finish. Took me a while to get the hang of the multi-placer tip. Did most of it over a long weekend and it was such a pleasant way to pass the time. I chose this one for the landscape look. Small issues, but nothing that would stop me ordering again.

  8. Emily B. (verified owner) –

Ordered on a Monday, had it by the weekend. The drills came in labeled bags, which made sorting painless. The canvas printing is crisp and the symbols are easy to read, even in low light. I did this with my mom on the weekends and we both got into it. It was worth every evening I spent on it. The adhesive picked up a bit of dust while I was working over several days. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

I bought this for the detail work — it doesn’t feel repetitive. Symbol letters are small but legible, and the legend helped a lot. Really happy with the end result. The canvas had a faint mark from the printing on one edge. Would buy again; the notes are minor.

This kept me busy for a solid month in the best way. It’s hanging in in the sunroom now and looks great. The packaging was a little crushed on one corner. The scenery artwork comes together beautifully as you work. Would buy again; the notes are minor.

Arrived well packed and ready to start. The tray and tweezers included were better than I expected. Something about placing the drills is very settling. It’s the nicest thing I’ve made so far. Took longer than the estimated time, but that’s on me. Still a solid purchase.

  12. Silvia Wyatt (verified owner) –

This kept me busy through the whole winter. The canvas didn’t dry out over the weeks I worked on it. One bag of drills had come open in transit. It’s hanging in the sunroom now and looks great. The landscape motif makes it feel special. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

  13. Katie A. (verified owner) –

This one took some patience but the result is stunning. The finished piece looks stunning in natural light. The wax ran out before I finished and I had to use my own. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

  14. NanaMakesGifts (verified owner) –

This is my first large-format kit and the pacing works well. The glue is tacky enough that I can reposition if I misplace a drill. A peaceful project that fits into whatever time you have. One color had a couple of misshapen drills, but spares covered it. Still a solid purchase.

  15. Rosie Hernandez –

The detail on this canvas is really nice up close. It looks like real art in a simple frame. The pen that came with it is a bit flimsy, I swapped in my own. Worth it despite the small things.

  16. Jasmine Phelps –

Bought this as a centerpiece project for the season. The legend printed on the canvas is handy to have. The adhesive held well across several weeks of working on it. I set aside twenty minutes a night for this and it’s become a ritual. Instructions were pretty minimal, though there are plenty of tutorials online. It’s hanging in the mantel now and looks great. A solid purchase with a couple of notes.

Such an easy kit to get going with. Glue coverage was even, no dry patches anywhere. I pressed it under books overnight before starting. Gave it to my mother-in-law as a gift and it was a big hit. Still a good kit overall.

  18. Joanna Robles (verified owner) –

Bought this for the living room wall and it was worth the time. The canvas came rolled, and it flattened out with no creases. It’s up in the hallway and gets noticed. It would help to include a larger paper chart. Minor gripes aside, I’d buy it again.

  19. Norma Brooks (verified owner) –

This was a bigger project and I loved every evening of it. The canvas printing is crisp and the symbols are easy to read, even in low light. I do it at the kitchen table while dinner simmers. The adhesive attracted a little dust over the weeks. Worth the time it took. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

Picked this up to try something different and really enjoyed it. The canvas printing is crisp and the symbols are easy to read, even in low light. Nice to have a hobby that leaves you calmer than you started. The included pen wore out partway through. It’s framed and hanging in our the kitchen now. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

Came quickly and was packaged really well. Legend is printed on the canvas itself, which I find handy. Would have liked the drills pre-sorted by color. Going to order a few more for Christmas presents. Would order again despite the small issues.

Ordered this as a small pick-me-up and it worked. The canvas is a good weight and the print underneath is detailed. I brought it on a weekend trip and finished most of it there. There were slightly more drills than needed, so it took longer than planned. Worth it despite the small things.
