About This Landscape Design

The Landscape artwork on this canvas frames a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist, with a still lake catching the sky and pine slopes anchoring both banks, worked in cool pine green and slate blue with a band of warm light at the horizon. The overall character is expansive and quiet rather than theatrical. Landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. It is for people who relax through repetitive, hands-busy work. Designed for living rooms and reading corners, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference Q4980-Q4985. Depth is built through graded blues rather than outlines, so the scene pulls the eye inward the longer it hangs Put simply, landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it.

landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. The expansive colouring is what allows it to sit in living rooms and reading corners without dominating.

DOTZSO set this one up for long quiet sessions and a result with enough detail to display. The kit ships complete — colour-printed canvas, DOTZSO resin drills, tray, comfort-grip pen, wax caddy and illustrated steps.

Graded drill shades are what produce the transitions in the artwork. Approximate colour matching would flatten the design; this does not.

The canvas is supplied as 6 pieces, each printed with its own symbol key and colour reference.

What’s in the Box

  • 6 × colour-printed canvas
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Unroll the canvas on a flat surface and let it settle under something weighted if it has been rolled tight.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one colour block at a time rather than jumping around the canvas.
  5. Continue until the design is complete, then press the finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Seat the canvas in its frame, or store it flat, once the surface has been pressed.

Work through it at your own pace, then frame it and hang it somewhere you will see it daily.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Landscape diamond painting kit come with as standard?

Yes. The Landscape diamond painting kit ships complete with everything shown in the product images, so there is nothing else to source, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference Q4980-Q4985.

Is the Landscape diamond painting kit tough enough for a busy household?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Landscape design holds under normal use. The sealed surface handles normal handling, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. Seat the drills evenly and the Landscape piece is stable long term.

What is the quickest way to clean the Landscape diamond painting kit?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge it or put it through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Landscape palette, cool pine green and slate blue tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. The Landscape surface cleans up with minimal effort.

Is the Landscape diamond painting kit fully covered or deliberately sparse?

The round resin drills are colour-sorted and matched to the printed symbol key. The Landscape artwork is drawn so that a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist reads clearly at any distance. The Landscape surface is evenly worked throughout.

What is the realistic build time for the Landscape design?

Plan for two to four evenings, depending on the size of the canvas. The Landscape design is expansive and quiet, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. The Landscape piece can be paused at any point.

Is the Landscape diamond painting kit straightforward for a newcomer?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the canvas and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Landscape layout is expansive and quiet, which helps on a first attempt. All parts are included as standard.

The printed canvas is crisp and the symbols are easy to read. Symbols are printed clearly even in the busy areas of the scenery section. My friends all want one now. The canvas smell was noticeable for the first day or two. Still worth it overall.

This was my first full size canvas and it turned out better than I hoped. It fills the wall above the sofa nicely. A couple of the darker shades were hard to tell apart in low light. Still worth it overall.

  3. Vanessa A. –

This was my first diamond painting kit and I’m officially hooked. Print quality is sharp, the scenery detail really comes through. The scenery detail comes together really nicely once it’s finished. The packaging was a little crushed on one corner. Looks beautiful in our living room, the colors tie everything together. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

  4. Jessie Roberts (verified owner) –

Ordered this after finishing a smaller canvas and wanting more detail. It fills the wall exactly the way I hoped. The glue picked up a bit of dust over the weeks I worked on it. Mild quibbles, but a good purchase.

  5. Eduardo Courtney –

I bought this for the detail work — it doesn’t feel repetitive. The tweezers included were actually good quality. Instructions were pretty minimal, though there are plenty of tutorials online. It’s the nicest thing I’ve made so far. Still a good kit overall.

  6. Roland Finley (verified owner) –

I framed mine and it looks like a real painting. The print quality is sharp and the detail comes through. The release paper peeled back cleanly without tearing. Some colors had very few spare drills. I do a section a night with a podcast on. It’s framed and on the wall now. Small things aside, it’s a good buy.

  7. Melba Gould –

This is a genuinely nice kit for the money. The fabric is pleasant to work on and doesn’t fray at the edges. I did most of it over a lazy weekend and enjoyed every minute. Instructions were minimal, though it’s easy enough to figure out. Very pleased with how it came together. Happy with it, with one small caveat.

I framed mine and it looks like a real painting. It pulled the color scheme of the room together. Would have liked the drills pre-sorted by color. Small issues, but nothing that would stop me ordering again.

  9. Wilbert Rowe (verified owner) –

This was a bigger project and I loved every evening of it. The adhesive is plenty sticky, the drills stay exactly where I put them. Did most of it over a long weekend and it was such a pleasant way to pass the time. I had to press the canvas under books overnight before starting. Minor gripes aside, I’d buy it again.

Ordered on a Monday, had it by the weekend. No missing colors and no shortage on the ones used most. The wax ran out before I finished and I had to use my own. I do this on the porch in the summer and it’s lovely. Still worth it overall.

  11. WoolAndWander (verified owner) –

This is the biggest canvas I’ve taken on and it’s been a joy. The scenery palette works really well with the design. One color had a couple of misshapen drills, but spares covered it. The overall look is clean and cohesive. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

  12. Omar Ochoa (verified owner) –

I’ve been eyeing this design for weeks and finally pulled the trigger. The canvas came rolled, and it flattened out with no creases. The canvas arrived flat rather than rolled tight. I went with the landscape version and the colors are lovely. It’s the kind of hobby that makes an evening feel well spent. It looks like something from a home decor shop. The canvas was creased on arrival and needed time to flatten. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

  13. Lula Luna (verified owner) –

This was my first full size canvas and it turned out better than I hoped. The landscape artwork looks great up on the wall. The higher color count really shows in the finished piece. One section had a lot of similar shades, which slowed me down. I do this on the porch in the summer and it’s lovely. Worth it despite the small things.

  14. Darren Bradshaw –

I hung it in the hallway and people always ask where I got it. If you like scenery designs, this is a good example. Gave it to my daughter-in-law as a gift and it went over really well. The multi-placer tip took some practice. Would still recommend it.

I wanted a full-size piece for the wall above the couch. Full drill coverage means no blank canvas showing. I worked on this during my lunch breaks and it made the days feel better. It took longer than the estimate, though that’s on me. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

  16. Kelley Wise (verified owner) –

Took me about a month of evenings and I’d do it again. Once framed it looks like something you’d buy in a gallery. Pre-sorted drills would save time. A solid purchase with a couple of notes.

The finished size makes a real statement on the wall. Drills cover edge to edge with no bald spots. Took a bit longer to arrive than I expected. The finished piece looks stunning in natural light. A solid purchase with a couple of notes.

  18. Nelson Carlson (verified owner) –

The printed canvas is crisp and the symbols are easy to read. The canvas didn’t dry out over the weeks I worked on it. It arrived folded rather than rolled and took time to flatten. Hung it in the hallway and it brightens the whole space. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

  19. Will Stark –

Bought this as a centerpiece project for the season. The canvas came rolled, and it flattened out with no creases. The multi-placer tip took some practice. I work on it while listening to an audiobook and the time just disappears. This one is going straight on the wall. Would still recommend it.

This kept me busy through the whole winter. The canvas is a good weight and the print underneath is detailed. Great for unwinding after a busy week. I wish the printed legend was a little bigger. It looks like a gallery piece now that it’s framed. Overall a good experience.

I’ve been doing these for about a year and this is a solid kit. The canvas came rolled, and it flattened out with no creases. Keeps my hands busy during long flights and hotel evenings. It was worth every evening I spent on it. A few bags weren’t labeled as clearly as the rest. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

Bigger than it looks in the photos, which was a nice surprise. Drills cover edge to edge with no bald spots. The adhesive is plenty sticky, the drills stay exactly where I put them. So glad I added this one to my cart. The glue is tacky enough that I can reposition if I misplace a drill. The symbols are quite small in the detailed areas. I keep it set up on a side table and do a bit whenever I have ten minutes. The end result made all the evenings worth it. A solid purchase with a couple of notes.

The finished size makes a real statement on the wall. The drills cover edge to edge with no bald spots. I did this with my son on the weekends and we both got into it. One bag of drills had come open in transit. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

Took it slow, a section at a time, and really enjoyed the process. The legend was easy to follow and matched the canvas printing. I found it really peaceful to focus on one small area at a time. It took longer than the estimate, though that’s on me. A solid purchase with a couple of notes.

My third kit from this shop and still really pleased. Symbols on the chart are printed clearly enough to follow without guessing. Good weight to the materials, it doesn’t feel cheap. It’s my screen-free hour in the evening. I had to press the canvas under books overnight before starting. It’s hanging in the porch now and looks great. Still a solid purchase.

I bought this for the detail work — it doesn’t feel repetitive. Nothing arrived damaged, and everything was sealed properly. I’d have liked a slightly longer chart, but it was workable. I brought it on a weekend trip and finished most of it there. It’s the centerpiece of that wall. Happy with it despite the small stuff.
