About This Landscape Design

A Landscape study built on a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist, with a still lake catching the sky and pine slopes anchoring both banks. The palette stays in cool pine green and slate blue with a band of warm light at the horizon, and the piece keeps a expansive and quiet register throughout. Landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. It suits anyone who prefers a slow, screen-free project to another hour of scrolling. Designed for living rooms and reading corners, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference Q4935-Q4940. landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. That is the part that matters most here.

landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. Placed in living rooms and reading corners, it reads as part of the room rather than an addition to it.

DOTZSO assembles each kit so the colour key is clear and the sessions stay unhurried. The box holds a colour-printed canvas, DOTZSO resin drills, a sorting tray, a comfort-grip applicator pen, a wax caddy and pictorial instructions.

Full drill means no bare canvas showing through. The finish is therefore uniform, and the piece reads as a single surface rather than a set of filled-in areas.

A single printed canvas is supplied, so there is no need to manage several designs at once.

What’s in the Box

  • 6 × colour-printed canvas
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Unroll the canvas on a flat surface and let it settle under something weighted if it has been rolled tight.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one colour block at a time rather than jumping around the canvas.
  5. Continue until the design is complete, then press the finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Seat the canvas in its frame, or store it flat, once the surface has been pressed.

Take the making steadily, then frame the finished work and treat it as decor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I need to buy anything else to finish this diamond painting kit?

Yes. The Landscape diamond painting kit ships complete with everything shown in the product images, so there is nothing else to source, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference Q4935-Q4940.

Is the drilling on the Landscape design likely to loosen?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Landscape design holds under normal use. The sealed surface handles normal handling, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. There is nothing brittle about the finished Landscape piece.

Is the Landscape diamond painting kit straightforward to look after?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge it or put it through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Landscape palette, cool pine green and slate blue tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. Keep the Landscape piece away from standing water.

How much bare surface does the Landscape diamond painting kit have?

The round resin drills are colour-sorted and matched to the printed symbol key. The Landscape artwork is drawn so that a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist reads clearly at any distance. The Landscape pattern is applied across the entire surface.

Is the Landscape diamond painting kit a big time commitment?

Plan for two to four evenings, depending on the size of the canvas. The Landscape design is expansive and quiet, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. It is a comfortable multi-session project.

Can someone with no craft background do the Landscape diamond painting kit?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the canvas and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Landscape layout is expansive and quiet, which helps on a first attempt. No separate tools are required.

  1. Joy Aguilar (verified owner) –

I needed a screen-free hobby and this fit the bill. The legend printed on the canvas is handy to have. The landscape motif makes it feel special. It’s the nicest thing I’ve made so far. Shipping took a few days longer than I expected. Minor quibbles aside, I’d buy it again.

  2. Merrill Bernard (verified owner) –

The detail on this canvas is really nice up close. Plenty of margin around the edges for framing or trimming. I like having something mindful to do that doesn’t need a screen. Really proud to have this hanging in the house. The glue was slightly tacky in one corner. A solid purchase with a couple of notes.

Found this while browsing and couldn’t leave without it. The canvas rolls flat after a night under a couple of books. Perfect for slow evenings when you don’t want more screen time. It’s the kind of thing guests notice right away. A few drills were stuck together and needed separating. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

I’ve bought from this shop a few times now and this is another good one. It’s displayed above the sideboard. The glue picked up a bit of dust over the weeks I worked on it. I’d recommend it with that one note.

  5. Beatrice Phelps –

I framed mine and it looks like a real painting. It’s one of the nicest things I’ve made. One bag of drills had come open in transit. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

This one took some patience but the result is stunning. If this style appeals to you, it delivers. The canvas came rolled, and it flattened out with no creases. It arrived folded rather than rolled and took time to flatten. I kept it on the coffee table and worked on it in small bites. A good buy, with one or two caveats.

  7. Lavonne Goodman (verified owner) –

Exactly what the listing described, no surprises. It looks like a gallery print from across the room. The wax ran low before I finished the last section. Still a solid purchase.

I’m a repeat DOTZSO customer at this point and this kit did not disappoint. Legend is printed on the canvas itself, which I find handy. Made this as a gift for my parents’ anniversary. The canvas arrived folded rather than rolled, took a while to flatten. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

  9. Reba Carter (verified owner) –

Ordered this after finishing a smaller canvas and wanting more detail. If this style appeals to you, it delivers. Drills cover edge to edge with no bald spots. I like that it’s creative without requiring any decisions. The canvas smell was noticeable for the first day or two. The final result has a nice depth to it. I’d order it again knowing what I know now.

  10. Pearl Ledbetter (verified owner) –

Took me a few weeks of evenings and I loved every minute. It’s up in the hallway and gets noticed. I had to press the canvas under books overnight before starting. Still a good kit overall.

  11. Leah Butler (verified owner) –

This one caught my eye on the new arrivals page. Framed in a simple black frame and it looks like real art. The printed symbols in one dense area were a little tight. Happy with it despite the small stuff.

  12. PrairiePainter (verified owner) –

This showed up faster than I expected and I started it the same night. Edges have enough margin for framing. A couple of the symbols were close enough to double-check. I do this instead of scrolling and feel much better for it. It’s the nicest thing I’ve made so far. Would buy again; the notes are minor.

This kept me busy through the whole winter. Colors match the listing photo really closely. I like that it’s creative without requiring any decisions. Great value for what you get. The landscape piece really pulls the room together once it’s hung. I had to press the canvas under books overnight before starting. Happy with it, with one small caveat.

Second time ordering this style, still happy with it. The canvas came rolled, and it flattened out with no creases. I set it up next to the window and do a few rows whenever the light is good. The canvas had a slight crease from shipping, though it flattened out. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

  15. Sheri Wiley (verified owner) –

Bought it as a starter kit for myself and it worked out great. The finished piece looks stunning in natural light. The canvas smell was noticeable for the first day or two. Still worth it overall.

  16. Frank Henry (verified owner) –

This one caught my eye and I’m glad it did. Packaging was tidy and nothing had spilled in transit. I had to press the canvas under books overnight before starting. I work on it while listening to an audiobook and the time just disappears. Made this as a gift for my parents’ anniversary. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

  17. Mason B. (verified owner) –

The printed canvas is crisp and the symbols are easy to read. Legend is printed on the canvas itself, which I find handy. Really relaxing to do in the evening instead of scrolling. My friends all want one now. Took longer than the estimated time, but that’s on me. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

  18. Faye Schneider (verified owner) –

I hung it in the hallway and people always ask where I got it. Full drill coverage means no blank canvas showing through. It looks like real art in a simple frame. I went with the landscape version and the colors are lovely. The canvas smell was noticeable for the first day or two. Good enough that I’d buy another.

  19. Clyde Suarez (verified owner) –

I framed it once finished and it looks like real artwork. Print quality is sharp, the scenery detail really comes through. I pressed it under books overnight before starting. It’s my go-to when I want something enjoyable that doesn’t take much thought. This one is going straight on the wall. Happy with it, with one small caveat.

  20. Sabrina Walter (verified owner) –

The detail on this canvas is what sold me. It looks like a gallery piece now that it’s framed. A few drills had rough edges that needed picking off. Small issues, but nothing that would stop me ordering again.
