About This Landscape Design

A layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist, with a still lake catching the sky and pine slopes anchoring both banks forms the subject of this Landscape piece, worked in cool pine green and slate blue with a band of warm light at the horizon. The character is expansive and quiet, and it stays that way at any distance. Landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. It is designed for rainy weekends and long winter evenings indoors. Designed for living rooms and reading corners, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference Q4419. Landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it It is also why the piece keeps working after the novelty fades.

landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. In living rooms and reading corners the piece holds its own against the surrounding colour rather than fighting it.

Each DOTZSO canvas is produced to be worked at your own pace and framed at the end of it. You get a colour-printed canvas, DOTZSO resin drills, a sorting tray, a comfort-grip pen, a wax caddy and clear step-by-step pictures.

Full drill coverage is the reason the finished canvas reads as artwork rather than craft. Every printed symbol is worked, so the shine is consistent across the whole surface.

The kit holds 1 canvases, allowing for a longer project or a shared session.

What’s in the Box

  • 1 × colour-printed canvas
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Unroll the canvas on a flat surface and let it settle under something weighted if it has been rolled tight.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one colour block at a time rather than jumping around the canvas.
  5. Continue until the design is complete, then press the finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Seat the canvas in its frame, or store it flat, once the surface has been pressed.

Complete it across a few quiet sessions, then frame it and let it hold the wall.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does everything for the Landscape design come in one order?

Yes. The Landscape diamond painting kit ships complete with everything shown in the product images, so there is nothing else to source, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference Q4419.

Will the Landscape artwork survive being used rather than framed?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Landscape design holds under normal use. The sealed surface handles normal handling, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. There is no delicate stage once the Landscape work is sealed.

How do I keep the Landscape surface dust free?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge it or put it through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Landscape palette, cool pine green and slate blue tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. Dust with a dry cloth rather than a wet one where possible.

Will the Landscape design show bare areas when finished?

The round resin drills are colour-sorted and matched to the printed symbol key. The Landscape artwork is drawn so that a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist reads clearly at any distance. Coverage on the Landscape piece does not vary across the design.

Is the Landscape diamond painting kit a long or short project?

Plan for two to four evenings, depending on the size of the canvas. The Landscape design is expansive and quiet, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. It is a project rather than a single evening’s task.

Is the Landscape diamond painting kit fine for absolute beginners?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the canvas and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Landscape layout is expansive and quiet, which helps on a first attempt. Nothing is sold separately for this piece.

I hung it in the hallway and people always ask where I got it. The canvas laid flat after a day under a couple of books. Gave it to my mom as a gift and it went over really well. Took longer than the estimated time, but that’s on me. Still worth it overall.

A bigger project than I’ve done before, but so worth the time. Made this as a gift for my parents’ anniversary. The symbols are quite small in the detailed areas. The abstract subject is rendered with more detail than I expected. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

  3. Donna H. (verified owner) –

So glad I added this one to my cart. The abstract artwork looks great up on the wall. Color count is higher than my earlier kits, which shows in the finished piece. I brought it on a week at the lake and finished most of it there. Took longer than the estimated time, but that’s on me. Very pleased with how it came together. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

The printed canvas is crisp and the symbols are easy to read. It fills the wall above the sofa nicely. The symbols are quite small in the detailed areas. Still a solid purchase.

Took it slow, a section at a time, and really enjoyed the process. It’s the nicest thing I’ve made so far. There were slightly more drills than needed, so it took longer than planned. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

  6. Scot Dailey (verified owner) –

This is the largest kit I’ve done and it turned out beautifully. The drills are uniform and sit flat with no gaps. The tray included is on the small side. I set it up next to the window and do a few rows whenever the light is good. Worth it despite the small things.

  7. Miranda Courtney –

Bought this to fill a blank wall and it did the job. The higher color count really shows in the finished piece. It’s my go-to when I want something enjoyable that doesn’t take much thought. Some colors had very few spare drills. I’d recommend it with that one note.

  8. Sabrina Mcbride (verified owner) –

This was my first order here and it won’t be my last. The tray held more than enough drills at a time. A really enjoyable way to pass a rainy afternoon. I’d have liked the border a touch wider for framing. Good kit — the notes above are minor.

  9. Beverly Best –

I wanted something substantial enough to last a few weeks. The adhesive held well across several weeks of working on it. I worked on this with my mother and we both got absorbed in it. I pressed it under books overnight before starting. Gave it to my aunt as a gift and it went over really well. The scenery artwork looks great up on the wall. Would buy again; the notes are minor.

Bought this as a centerpiece project for the season. The packaging kept everything organized and undamaged. A peaceful project that fits into whatever time you have. It arrived folded rather than rolled and took time to flatten. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

  11. Nicholas Jefferson (verified owner) –

Bought this because the design has real depth to it. It came rolled and flattened out with no creases. Took me a while to get the hang of the multi-placer tip. I kept it on the coffee table and worked on it in small bites. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

  12. Marilyn Rios (verified owner) –

I keep coming back to this shop because the quality is consistent. It’s framed and hanging in the living room. The glue was slightly tacky in one corner. Solid overall, just a couple of nitpicks.

This is my first large-format kit and the pacing works well. The adhesive held well across several weeks of working on it. It’s my screen-free hour in the evening. Would have liked the drills pre-sorted by color. Would order again despite the small issues.

I’ve tried a few brands and this one holds up well. The printed area is bordered, so framing is straightforward. Would have liked the drills pre-sorted by color. I kept it on the coffee table and worked on it in small bites. Minor gripes aside, I’d buy it again.

  15. Ashleigh Hughes (verified owner) –

Been eyeing this one for a while and finally pulled the trigger. The scenery palette works really well with the design. The canvas didn’t dry out over the weeks I worked on it. A few drills had rough edges that needed picking off. The overall look is clean and cohesive. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

So glad I added this one to my cart. The canvas rolls flat after a night under a couple of books. Took longer than the estimated time, but that’s on me. Nice mindful work that keeps you present. Worth it, just go in with the right expectations.

I added this to my cart at 11pm and had zero regrets the next morning. There’s enough white space at the border for framing without cropping. The multi-placer tip took some practice. It’s a good way to slow down at the end of the day. It looks like real art in a simple frame. Still a solid purchase.

This is the largest kit I’ve done and it turned out beautifully. It fits perfectly with the decor in on the living room floor. The wax was a little stiff at first. Minor quibbles aside, I’d buy it again.

Bought this as a centerpiece project for the season. Framed in a simple black frame and it looks like real art. The wax ran low before I finished the last section. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

  20. Savannah K. –

The printed canvas is crisp and the symbols are easy to read. The drills sit nice and flush, no gaps showing the surface underneath. I like having something mindful to do that doesn’t need a screen. Took longer than the estimated time, but that’s on me. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

This one took some patience but the result is stunning. Color count is higher than my earlier kits, which shows in the finished piece. It fills the wall above the sofa nicely. The glue picked up a bit of dust over the weeks I worked on it. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

This kept me busy through the whole winter. Extra drills were included for every color, which I appreciated. The legend was easy to follow and matched the canvas printing. Shipping took a bit longer than the estimate. I worked through this over a few weeks of evenings and loved it. Framed in a simple black frame and it looks like real art. Overall a good experience.

I’ve been doing these for about a year and this is a solid kit. The finished piece looks stunning in natural light. Pre-sorted drills would save time. If this style appeals to you, it delivers. Would order again despite the small issues.

Grabbed this on a whim after a long week. The adhesive is evenly applied across the whole canvas. Really relaxing to do in the evening instead of scrolling. It’s framed and on the wall now. The canvas arrived folded rather than rolled, took a while to flatten. Solid overall, just a couple of nitpicks.

I’ve had my eye on this design since last season. No missing colors and nothing short in the high-use shades. It’s become the quiet part of my day that I look forward to. It looks like a gallery piece now that it’s framed. The adhesive picked up lint over the days I worked on it. Happy with it, with one small caveat.

  26. Lacey Carranza (verified owner) –

The color range on this one is impressive. The wax and pen that came with it worked fine right out of the box. The pen was fine, though I ended up using my own. I do a section a night with a podcast on. Looks beautiful in our living room, the colors tie everything together. Mild quibbles, but a good purchase.

I took a chance on this and it paid off. It gets complimented every time someone new sees it. The adhesive picked up lint over the days I worked on it. Worth it despite the small things.

Picked this for the size and stayed for the color range. The drills arrived clean, not stuck together in clumps. I found the repetition genuinely calming rather than tedious. Really pleased with how it turned out. The canvas had a faint mark from the printing on one edge. I’d order it again knowing what I know now.

  29. Claire Mckinney –

This kept me busy through the whole winter. The printed colors underneath match the drills closely. Everyone who sees it asks how long it took. The printed chart could have been a touch larger. Worth it despite the small things.

Bought this because the design has real depth to it. The canvas didn’t dry out over the weeks I worked on it. I had to press the canvas under books overnight before starting. It’s framed and hanging above the couch. Solid overall, just a couple of nitpicks.
