About This Landscape Design

This canvas takes a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist, with a still lake catching the sky and pine slopes anchoring both banks as its subject, rendered in cool pine green and slate blue with a band of warm light at the horizon. The mood settles at expansive and quiet, which is what keeps it easy to live with. Landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. It appeals to anyone who has tried a craft kit and wants a better-made one. Designed for living rooms and reading corners, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference Q4418. landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. That is the part that matters most here.

landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. That is what puts it at home in living rooms and reading corners, with the expansive tone of the colours carrying the room.

DOTZSO makes these kits so the evening passes without a screen and the wall ends up with something on it. What arrives: a colour-printed canvas, DOTZSO resin drills, a sorting tray, a comfort-grip applicator pen, a wax caddy and pictorial guidance.

The finished surface is only as good as the placement. Working methodically through the colour blocks is what gives the canvas its even, sharp finish.

Each of the 1 canvases has its own printed key, so nothing needs to be guessed.

What’s in the Box

  • 1 × colour-printed canvas
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Unroll the canvas on a flat surface and let it settle under something weighted if it has been rolled tight.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one colour block at a time rather than jumping around the canvas.
  5. Continue until the design is complete, then press the finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Seat the canvas in its frame, or store it flat, once the surface has been pressed.

Take it section by section, then frame the finished piece and hang it properly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is actually in the box for this Landscape diamond painting kit?

Yes. The Landscape diamond painting kit ships complete with everything shown in the product images, so there is nothing else to source, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference Q4418.

Will the Landscape design wear well over time?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Landscape design holds under normal use. The sealed surface handles normal handling, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. It is a working finish rather than a display-only one.

What cleaning method suits the Landscape design?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge it or put it through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Landscape palette, cool pine green and slate blue tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. Do not leave liquid standing on the Landscape surface.

Is the Landscape diamond painting kit a full-face drill design?

The round resin drills are colour-sorted and matched to the printed symbol key. The Landscape artwork is drawn so that a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist reads clearly at any distance. The Landscape artwork relies on the drills rather than printed fill.

How long does the Landscape design typically take?

Plan for two to four evenings, depending on the size of the canvas. The Landscape design is expansive and quiet, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. The Landscape pattern rewards steady work rather than rushing.

What would a beginner struggle with on the Landscape design?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the canvas and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Landscape layout is expansive and quiet, which helps on a first attempt. The pack has everything for the project.

  1. Catherine B. –

The printed canvas is crisp and the symbols are easy to read. Edges have enough margin for framing. Quiet Sunday mornings with this and a coffee is my favorite part of the week. Took me a while to get the hang of the multi-placer tip. Overall a good experience.

Took it slow, a section at a time, and really enjoyed the process. Glue coverage was even, no dry patches anywhere. Nice to have something that gets me off my phone for a while. It’s a charming contemporary piece and everyone comments on it. Instructions were pretty minimal, though there are plenty of tutorials online. Would make a really nice gift, and it arrives boxed nicely. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

Came quickly and was packaged really well. Once it was framed it really pulled the room together. I had to press the canvas under books overnight before starting. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

I framed mine and it looks like a real painting. If this style appeals to you, it delivers. The glue picked up a bit of dust over the weeks I worked on it. Color count is higher than my earlier kits, which shows in the finished piece. Once framed it looks like something you’d buy in a gallery. Overall happy, just a few small things.

This canvas looked good online and better in person. The legend printed on the canvas is handy to have. I listened to a podcast and the time went by without noticing. The wax was a little stiff at first. The landscape detail is impressive up close. I’d order it again knowing what I know now.

I framed it once finished and it looks like real artwork. The contemporary pattern is what drew me in and it didn’t disappoint. The canvas had a slight crease from shipping, though it flattened out. Great value for what you get. Still worth it overall.

  7. Greta Freeman (verified owner) –

Bought it as a starter kit for myself and it worked out great. It’s framed and hanging above the couch. The adhesive picked up a bit of dust while I was working over several days. Solid overall, just a couple of nitpicks.

  8. Kristopher Bass (verified owner) –

The detail on this canvas is what sold me. It looks like a gallery piece now that it’s framed. One bag of drills had come open in transit. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

  9. Daniela M. (verified owner) –

I hung it in the hallway and people always ask where I got it. Full drill coverage means no blank canvas showing through. The abstract piece really pulls the room together once it’s hung. The pen that came with it is a bit flimsy, I swapped in my own. Drill colors are well separated, no squinting to tell two shades apart. I’ve been doing it in the evenings with my partner, we take turns on sections. It was worth every evening I spent on it. Still a solid purchase.

Wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’m very happy with it. Legend is printed on the canvas itself, which I find handy. Nice to have something that gets me off my phone for a while. I had to press the canvas under books overnight before starting. Would order again despite the small issues.

Took me about a month of evenings and I’d do it again. Once it was framed it really pulled the room together. I pressed it under books overnight before starting. The landscape motif makes it feel special. Worth it despite the small things.

This is the largest kit I’ve done and it turned out beautifully. It’s on the wall in my office and I still look at it. The wax ran low before I finished the last section. Still a good kit overall.

Bought it for a rainy weekend and it was exactly what I needed. Hung it in the hallway and it brightens the whole space. A couple of the darker shades were hard to tell apart in low light. Would order again despite the small issues.

I took a chance on this and it paid off. It was worth every evening I spent on it. There were slightly more drills than needed, so it took longer than planned. Still worth it overall.

  15. Scarlett Sellers (verified owner) –

I framed it once finished and it looks like real artwork. The canvas laid flat after a day under a couple of books. It took longer than the estimate, though that’s on me. I worked on this with my mother and we both got absorbed in it. Overall happy, just a few small things.

  16. Wesley Long (verified owner) –

The detail on this canvas is what sold me. The canvas didn’t dry out over the weeks I worked on it. Everything felt well made, from the tools to the drills. Pre-sorted drills would save time. This is the kind of craft that’s genuinely calming after a hectic day. The finished piece looks stunning in natural light. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

I hung it in the hallway and people always ask where I got it. Made this as a gift for my parents’ anniversary. A few bags weren’t labeled as clearly as the rest. I’d order again, just knowing what to expect.

Bought it for a rainy weekend and it was exactly what I needed. I picked the contemporary version and the colors are lovely. Symbols are printed clearly even in the busy areas of the contemporary section. The canvas had a slight crease from shipping, though it flattened out. Nice to have something that gets me off my phone for a while. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

The color range on this one is impressive. It’s a lovely take on a scenery design. The glue is tacky enough to reposition a misplaced drill. Instructions were minimal, though it’s easy enough to figure out. Perfect for winding down before bed, much better than watching another show. Still worth it overall.

I framed it once finished and it looks like real artwork. Symbol letters are small but legible, and the legend helped a lot. Great for unwinding after a busy week. I had to press the canvas under books overnight before starting. It fills the wall above the sofa nicely. Good enough that I’d buy another.

Came across this while looking for craft ideas and bought it that day. The canvas laid flat after a day under a couple of books. The canvas smell was noticeable for the first day or two.
