About This Landscape Design

This Landscape design shows a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist, with a still lake catching the sky and pine slopes anchoring both banks. The colour work runs through cool pine green and slate blue with a band of warm light at the horizon — an overall feel that is expansive and quiet, never busy. Landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. It is aimed at makers who want a canvas detailed enough to frame rather than store. Designed for living rooms and reading corners, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference Q4414. Landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it It is also why the piece keeps working after the novelty fades.

landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. In practice that means the finished piece sits comfortably in living rooms and reading corners, where the expansive character of the palette does the decorating for you.

A DOTZSO kit is put together so the process stays unhurried and the finished canvas is worth framing. Along with the canvas come DOTZSO resin drills, a sorting tray, a comfort-grip applicator pen, a wax caddy and pictorial steps.

A good canvas print is half the finished result. This one is produced so the symbols stay legible through a long project rather than fading at the edges.

Supplied as 1 separate canvases, so the set can be worked one design at a time.

What’s in the Box

  • 1 × colour-printed canvas
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Unroll the canvas on a flat surface and let it settle under something weighted if it has been rolled tight.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one colour block at a time rather than jumping around the canvas.
  5. Continue until the design is complete, then press the finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Seat the canvas in its frame, or store it flat, once the surface has been pressed.

Work through it colour by colour, then frame the canvas and hang it where it gets seen.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Landscape diamond painting kit ship with the mounting hardware included?

Yes. The Landscape diamond painting kit ships complete with everything shown in the product images, so there is nothing else to source, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference Q4414.

Is the Landscape piece built to last?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Landscape design holds under normal use. The sealed surface handles normal handling, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. The bond across the Landscape face is consistent throughout.

Is the Landscape diamond painting kit dishwasher safe?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge it or put it through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Landscape palette, cool pine green and slate blue tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. Nothing abrasive should touch the Landscape surface.

Is the entire Landscape surface drilled?

The round resin drills are colour-sorted and matched to the printed symbol key. The Landscape artwork is drawn so that a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist reads clearly at any distance. Nothing on the Landscape face is left as plain surface.

How long does the Landscape diamond painting kit take to finish?

Plan for two to four evenings, depending on the size of the canvas. The Landscape design is expansive and quiet, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. The Landscape piece is easy to spread over several sittings.

How beginner-safe is the Landscape diamond painting kit?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the canvas and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Landscape layout is expansive and quiet, which helps on a first attempt. No add-ons are needed.

Really nice kit, especially for the money. Color count is higher than my earlier kits, which shows in the finished piece. I work on it while listening to an audiobook and the time just disappears. Some colors came with barely any extras, though I didn’t run out. Once framed it looks like something you’d buy in a gallery. The contemporary detail comes together really nicely once it’s finished. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

Such a nice little project to have on the go. The chart on the side of the canvas is clear and easy to follow. There were slightly more drills than needed, so it took longer than planned. Everyone who sees it asks how long it took. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

  3. Sierra A. (verified owner) –

Honestly better quality than I expected for the price. It’s a charming contemporary piece and everyone comments on it. Really proud to have this hanging in the house. The symbols are quite small in the detailed areas. Still a solid purchase.

  4. Kurt Hyde (verified owner) –

The printed canvas is crisp and the symbols are easy to read. The drills sit nice and flush, no gaps showing the surface underneath. Already ordered another one from DOTZSO. The included pen wore out partway through. Worth it despite the small things.

  5. Teddy Estrada (verified owner) –

This is the biggest canvas I’ve taken on and it’s been a joy. The canvas surface has a slight texture that helps the drills grip. The symbols are quite small in the detailed areas. I set aside twenty minutes a night for this and it’s become a ritual. I’d order it again knowing what I know now.

  6. Lena Andersen (verified owner) –

Took it slow, a section at a time, and really enjoyed the process. Looks lovely framed and hung up. Shipping took a bit longer than the estimate. Worth it despite the small things.

Took it slow, a section at a time, and really enjoyed the process. The canvas came rolled, and it flattened out with no creases. Quiet Sunday mornings with this and a coffee is my favorite part of the week. My friends all want one now. The glue picked up a bit of dust over the weeks I worked on it. Would order again despite the small issues.

  8. Aiden B. (verified owner) –

Really nice kit, especially for the money. The glue is tacky enough that I can reposition if I misplace a drill. I wish the printed legend was a little bigger. I like having something mindful to do that doesn’t need a screen. Looks beautiful in our living room, the colors tie everything together. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

  9. Spencer Townsend (verified owner) –

Bigger than it looks in the photos, which was a nice surprise. It was worth every evening I put into it. It arrived folded rather than rolled and took time to flatten. Overall happy, just a few small things.

Took it slow, a section at a time, and really enjoyed the process. The canvas is a good weight with a detailed print underneath. The canvas arrived folded rather than rolled, took a while to flatten. Really soothing to focus on one small area at a time. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

This one took some patience but the result is stunning. The canvas laid flat after a day under a couple of books. Shipping took a bit longer than the estimate. It’s the kind of project that feels creative without being stressful. Still a solid purchase.

The finished size makes a real statement on the wall. It’s framed and hanging in the living room. The symbols are quite small in the detailed areas. Happy with it, with one small caveat.

This one took some patience but the result is stunning. Framed in a simple black frame and it looks like real art. The packaging arrived a little dented. Good enough that I’d buy another.

This arrived in perfect condition, nothing bent or spilled. Full drill coverage means no blank canvas showing through. Symbol letters are small but legible, and the legend helped a lot. I brought it on a weekend trip and finished most of it there. I pressed it under books overnight before starting. It looks stunning in natural light. Worth it, just go in with the right expectations.

I bought this for our weekend place and it’s been a hit. No missing colors and no shortage on the ones used most. It’s the kind of hobby that makes an evening feel well spent. Took longer than the estimated time, but that’s on me. Small issues, but nothing that would stop me ordering again.

The detail on this canvas is really nice up close. The canvas laid flat after a day under a couple of books. The printed chart could have been a touch larger. The scenery artwork looks great up on the wall. Looks lovely framed and hung up. Would order again despite the small issues.

Took me about a month of evenings and I’d do it again. The wax and pen that came with it worked fine right out of the box. The scenery motif makes it feel special. Each color was packed generously, I had plenty to spare. I worked through it over several quiet evenings. It would help to include a larger paper chart. It’s the kind of thing people ask about when they see it. Would recommend it with those notes.

I’ve been doing these for about a year and this is a solid kit. Packaging was tidy and nothing had spilled in transit. Framed in a simple black frame and it looks like real art. The wax ran out before I finished and I had to use my own. Good enough that I’d buy another.

This one took some patience but the result is stunning. Drills cover edge to edge with no bald spots. Really calming, repetitive work, and satisfying when a section is finished. The tray included is on the small side. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

Such an easy kit to get going with. Framed in a simple black frame and it looks like real art. One section had a lot of similar shades, which slowed me down. Happy with it despite the small stuff.

Bought it for a rainy weekend and it was exactly what I needed. Print quality is sharp, the abstract detail really comes through. Took me a while to get the hang of the multi-placer tip. It’s framed and hanging in our the living room now. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

This one required patience and rewarded it. If this style appeals to you, it delivers. Took longer than the estimated time, but that’s on me. The legend printed on the canvas is handy to have. It’s my screen-free hour in the evening. Still worth it overall.

A bigger project than I’ve done before, but so worth the time. Print quality is sharp, the landscape detail really comes through. Nothing was damaged in shipping and the packaging was neat. I like that it’s creative without requiring any decisions. Gave it to my best friend as a gift and it was a big hit. The printed chart could have been a touch larger. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

I’ve done smaller kits and this felt like a proper project. Symbol letters are small but legible, and the legend helped a lot. Plenty of margin around the edges for framing or trimming. The symbols are quite small in the detailed areas. It’s a slow, quiet hobby and I like that about it. It was worth every evening I put into it. A solid purchase with a couple of notes.

Ordered this for a quiet weekend and it delivered. The landscape pattern is what made me choose this one. The drills sit nice and flush, no gaps showing the surface underneath. The multi-placer tip took some practice. It looks stunning in natural light. I’d recommend it with that one note.

This arrived on a rainy Tuesday and turned the week around. The canvas is a good weight and the print underneath is detailed. Nice to have something that gets me off my phone for a while. The pen was fine, though I ended up using my own. It’s the kind of project you feel good about finishing. Solid overall, just a couple of nitpicks.
