About This Landscape Design

This Landscape design shows a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist, with a still lake catching the sky and pine slopes anchoring both banks. The colour work runs through cool pine green and slate blue with a band of warm light at the horizon — an overall feel that is expansive and quiet, never busy. Landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. It is aimed at makers who care about the finish as much as the process. Designed for living rooms and reading corners, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference Q4820. landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it, and the treatment of the colour is what carries it.

landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. The expansive colouring is what allows it to sit in living rooms and reading corners without dominating.

DOTZSO assembles each kit so the colour key is clear and the sessions stay unhurried. The box holds a colour-printed canvas, DOTZSO resin drills, a sorting tray, a comfort-grip applicator pen, a wax caddy and pictorial instructions.

Full drill means no bare canvas showing through. The finish is therefore uniform, and the piece reads as a single surface rather than a set of filled-in areas.

A single printed canvas is supplied, so there is no need to manage several designs at once.

What’s in the Box

  • 1 × colour-printed canvas
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Unroll the canvas on a flat surface and let it settle under something weighted if it has been rolled tight.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one colour block at a time rather than jumping around the canvas.
  5. Continue until the design is complete, then press the finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Seat the canvas in its frame, or store it flat, once the surface has been pressed.

Take the making steadily, then frame the finished work and treat it as decor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is anything in the diamond painting kit sold separately?

Yes. The Landscape diamond painting kit ships complete with everything shown in the product images, so there is nothing else to source, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference Q4820.

Will the Landscape diamond painting kit hold together through regular use?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Landscape design holds under normal use. The sealed surface handles normal handling, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. The Landscape piece is robust once the final pass is complete.

What is the routine care for the Landscape diamond painting kit?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge it or put it through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Landscape palette, cool pine green and slate blue tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. A microfibre cloth works well on the Landscape surface.

Is the Landscape design a full-coverage project?

The round resin drills are colour-sorted and matched to the printed symbol key. The Landscape artwork is drawn so that a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist reads clearly at any distance. The Landscape piece has a uniform drilled finish.

Is the Landscape design a slow project?

Plan for two to four evenings, depending on the size of the canvas. The Landscape design is expansive and quiet, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. The Landscape design is paced, not rushed.

Do I need experience to do the Landscape diamond painting kit?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the canvas and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Landscape layout is expansive and quiet, which helps on a first attempt. Every element needed is supplied.

The color range on this one is impressive. The canvas came rolled, and it flattened out with no creases. Keeps my hands busy during long flights and hotel evenings. The finished piece gets compliments from everyone who visits. The symbols are quite small in the detailed areas. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

Took me a few weeks of evenings and I loved every minute. Full drill coverage means no blank canvas showing through. This is the kind of craft that’s genuinely calming after a hectic day. Took longer than the estimated time, but that’s on me. Still a solid purchase.

Arrived well packed and ready to start. It’s up in the hallway and gets noticed. The tray was smaller than I’d like for a big session. Would still recommend it.

This was my first order here and it won’t be my last. The drills came in labeled bags, which made sorting painless. The glue was slightly tacky in one corner. It looks like a gallery print from across the room. Still worth it overall.

  5. Rolando Lance (verified owner) –

I’ve tried a few brands and this one holds up well. The canvas is a good weight with a detailed print underneath. I did most of it over a lazy weekend and enjoyed every minute. The printed chart could have been a touch larger. I’d order again, just knowing what to expect.

  6. Jeremy Harris (verified owner) –

This one required patience and rewarded it. The fabric has a good weight to it and hangs flat. The canvas printing is crisp and the symbols are easy to read, even in low light. I found the whole thing very easy to settle into. It makes a lovely gift and arrives nicely packaged. I went with the landscape version and the colors are lovely. I’d have liked a slightly longer chart, but it was workable. Solid overall, just a couple of nitpicks.

I’m a repeat DOTZSO customer at this point and this kit did not disappoint. The instructions were short but covered everything I needed. The landscape detail is impressive up close. The pen was fine, though I ended up using my own. A really enjoyable way to pass a rainy afternoon. It fills the wall above the sofa beautifully. Worth it, just go in with the right expectations.

I framed it once finished and it looks like real artwork. The numbering was consistent across the whole canvas. The canvas arrived rolled tightly and needed a night to flatten. It’s the kind of project you feel good about finishing. Overall a good experience.

I bought this for our weekend place and it’s been a hit. This is a lovely scenery piece for the price. Good quality drills with clean edges, not chipped. Drill colors are well separated, no squinting to tell two shades apart. The box arrived a bit dented, though nothing inside was damaged. I do a section a night with a podcast on. It fills the wall exactly the way I hoped. Overall a good experience.

This was my first diamond painting kit and I’m officially hooked. Drills cover edge to edge with no bald spots. It’s a lovely quiet hobby, and I like having something to show for it at the end. The packaging was a little crushed on one corner. It’s framed and hanging in the living room. Overall happy, just a few small things.

  11. Sheldon Boswell (verified owner) –

Ordered this after finishing a smaller canvas and wanting more detail. No missing colors and nothing short in the high-use shades. The scenery motif is what drew me in. The legend was easy to follow and matched the canvas printing. I worked on this during my lunch breaks and it made the days feel better. Would make a really nice gift, and it arrives boxed nicely. The adhesive attracted a little dust over the weeks. Good kit — the notes above are minor.

  12. Joyce Boyd (verified owner) –

I ordered this to fill a blank wall in the hallway. The adhesive held firmly without any lifting at the edges. It’s the nicest thing I’ve made so far. The canvas smell was noticeable for the first day or two. Worth it, just go in with the right expectations.

  13. Nikki Mcgee (verified owner) –

Bigger than it looks in the photos, which was a nice surprise. Nice large format, the finished piece makes a real statement. Everything was bagged and labeled, so setup took five minutes. I do this instead of scrolling and feel much better for it. The finished piece looks far better than I expected. Shipping took a bit longer than the estimate. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

Really nice kit, especially for the money. Once framed it looks like something you’d buy in a gallery. The scenery palette works really well with the design. It arrived folded rather than rolled and took time to flatten. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

This kept me busy through the whole winter. The print quality is sharp and the detail comes through. It looks like something from a home decor shop. The tray included is on the small side. Still worth it overall.

Picked this up to try something different and really enjoyed it. The paper backing peeled away without pulling up any drills. I set it up next to the window and do a few rows whenever the light is good. The box arrived a bit dented, though nothing inside was damaged. I’m a sucker for anything scenery-themed. It was worth every evening I spent on it. I’d order it again knowing what I know now.

  19. Morris Kane –

This one required patience and rewarded it. Edges have enough margin for framing. It took longer than the estimate, though that’s on me. The repetitive motion is oddly satisfying, one of those simple pleasures. The landscape colors are richer than the photos show. I’d recommend it with that one note.

  20. Rosetta Vaughan (verified owner) –

Took me about a month of evenings and I’d do it again. Full drill coverage means no blank canvas showing. The scenery piece really pulls the room together once it’s hung. The included pen wore out partway through. The canvas came rolled, and it flattened out with no creases. I do it at the kitchen table while dinner simmers. It’s the nicest thing I’ve made so far. Still a solid purchase.

Bought this for the living room wall and it was worth the time. My daughter wants one now after seeing mine. The wax ran low before I finished the last section. Would still recommend it.

This kept me busy through the whole winter. The canvas didn’t dry out over the weeks I worked on it. I did this with my mother-in-law on the weekends and we both got into it. The canvas had a slight crease from shipping, though it flattened out. The colors tie the room together. Worth it despite the small things.

This one took some patience but the result is stunning. The canvas feels substantial, not thin or flimsy. If you like landscape designs, this is a good one to go for. Took me a while to get the hang of the multi-placer tip. I like having something mindful to do that doesn’t need a screen. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

The finished size makes a real statement on the wall. Full drill coverage means no blank canvas showing through. I worked on this with my mother and we both got absorbed in it. Would have liked the drills pre-sorted by color. Small issues, but nothing that would stop me ordering again.

Such an easy kit to get going with. The canvas didn’t dry out over the weeks I worked on it. Really calming, repetitive work, and satisfying when a section is finished. Very pleased with how it came together. The canvas had a faint mark from the printing on one edge. Overall a good experience.

Took me about a month of evenings and I’d do it again. It came rolled and flattened out with no creases. The pen and wax worked fine, I didn’t need to dig out my own tools. The scenery motif makes it feel special. Really soothing to focus on one small area at a time. Very pleased with how it came together. I wish the printed legend was a little bigger. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

Second time ordering this style, still happy with it. The canvas didn’t dry out over the weeks I worked on it. This one is going straight on the wall. Some colors had very few spare drills. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

This one took some patience but the result is stunning. The backing held up fine and didn’t peel anywhere. The drill shapes were clean, not many chipped or stuck-together pieces. If this style appeals to you, it delivers. Would have liked the drills pre-sorted by color. I brought it on a weekend trip and finished most of it there. It’s the centerpiece of that wall. Overall a good experience.
