About This Landscape Design

This one works a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist, with a still lake catching the sky and pine slopes anchoring both banks into a Landscape composition, coloured in cool pine green and slate blue with a band of warm light at the horizon. The effect is expansive and quiet and unfussy. Landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. It fits anyone who needs a reason to put the phone down for a few evenings. Designed for living rooms and reading corners, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference Q4812. landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. That is the part that matters most here.

landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. That makes it straightforward to place in living rooms and reading corners, where the expansive tone already fits.

A DOTZSO canvas is meant to replace a scrolling evening with something that leaves a finished object behind. Packed with the canvas are DOTZSO resin drills, a sorting tray, a comfort-grip applicator pen, a wax caddy and step-by-step pictorial guidance.

The drills are graded by shade rather than approximate colour. That is what gives the finished piece its transitions, and why the canvas holds up when you step back from it.

The kit is built around one canvas, which keeps the process simple and the framing easy.

What’s in the Box

  • 1 × colour-printed canvas
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Unroll the canvas on a flat surface and let it settle under something weighted if it has been rolled tight.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one colour block at a time rather than jumping around the canvas.
  5. Continue until the design is complete, then press the finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Seat the canvas in its frame, or store it flat, once the surface has been pressed.

Go through it block by block, then frame the canvas and hang it where it will be seen daily.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the diamond painting kit sold as a kit rather than as separate parts?

Yes. The Landscape diamond painting kit ships complete with everything shown in the product images, so there is nothing else to source, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference Q4812.

Will the Landscape surface shed drills over time?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Landscape design holds under normal use. The sealed surface handles normal handling, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. Treat it as a normal household item and it behaves like one.

What care does the Landscape design require?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge it or put it through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Landscape palette, cool pine green and slate blue tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. A light pass is enough; the Landscape finish resists marking.

Does the Landscape design leave any part untreated?

The round resin drills are colour-sorted and matched to the printed symbol key. The Landscape artwork is drawn so that a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist reads clearly at any distance. The Landscape pattern carries to the outer edge.

What is a realistic time frame for the Landscape project?

Plan for two to four evenings, depending on the size of the canvas. The Landscape design is expansive and quiet, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. Allow more time if you work the Landscape design meticulously.

Would I manage the Landscape design with no experience?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the canvas and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Landscape layout is expansive and quiet, which helps on a first attempt. Everything required is in the pack.

This was my first full size canvas and it turned out better than I hoped. The canvas is a good weight and the print underneath is detailed. It’s hanging in the hallway now and looks great. Perfect for a cozy evening project.

The detail on this canvas is really nice up close. It’s framed and hanging in our the dining room now. I had to press the canvas under books overnight before starting. Still a solid purchase.

  3. Amelia W. (verified owner) –

A bigger project than I’ve done before, but so worth the time. The drills came in labeled bags, which made sorting painless. There were extra drills left over in every color when I finished. Nice mindful project – you can’t think about much else while you’re placing drills. The glue picked up a bit of dust over the weeks I worked on it. Great value for what you get. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

A bigger project than I’ve done before, but so worth the time. Color count is higher than my earlier kits, which shows in the finished piece. Gave it to my aunt as a gift and it went over really well. I had to press the canvas under books overnight before starting. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

My third kit from this shop and still really pleased. It’s hanging in the living room now and looks great. Would have liked the drills pre-sorted by color. Still worth it overall.

The printed canvas is crisp and the symbols are easy to read. The canvas printing is crisp and the symbols are easy to read, even in low light. Everything I needed was in the box – pen, wax, tray and tweezers. Nice mindful project – you can’t think about much else while you’re placing drills. Already ordered another one from DOTZSO. Really pleased with this one.

Took it slow, a section at a time, and really enjoyed the process. Symbols are printed clearly even in the busy areas of the landscape section. Gave it to my son as a gift and it was a big hit. Will be back for more.

I hung it in the hallway and people always ask where I got it. The scenery pattern is what drew me in and it didn’t disappoint. The glue picked up a bit of dust over the weeks I worked on it. It fills the wall above the sofa nicely. Still worth it overall.

A bigger project than I’ve done before, but so worth the time. The glue is tacky enough that I can reposition if I misplace a drill. It’s the nicest thing I’ve made so far. The canvas had a slight crease from shipping, though it flattened out. Would order again despite the small issues.

The printed canvas is crisp and the symbols are easy to read. Full drill coverage means no blank canvas showing through. I love how the scenery colors turned out. I do a section after work with a cup of tea and it’s a nice way to unwind. Thumbs up from our whole family.

Exactly what the listing described, no surprises. The large format makes a real statement when finished. Instructions were minimal, though it’s easy enough to figure out. Gave it to my roommate as a gift and it went over really well. Mild quibbles, but a good purchase.

This canvas looked good online and better in person. The adhesive held well across several weeks of working on it. The finished work looks considered, not like a craft project. The printed chart could have been a touch larger. Would recommend it with those notes.

Ordered this to work on through the winter evenings. The canvas didn’t dry out over the weeks I worked on it. The adhesive is plenty sticky, the drills stay exactly where I put them. It’s a lovely take on a scenery design. Really soothing to focus on one small area at a time. It’s one of the nicest things I’ve made. Delighted with it.

I wanted something substantial enough to last a few weeks. The canvas came rolled, and it flattened out with no creases. It’s large enough to be a real statement piece. Recommended without hesitation.

  25. Maura Grantham (verified owner) –

Picked this for the size and stayed for the color range. The artwork looks even better in person than the photos. The canvas doesn’t curl at the corners after working on it. The repetitive motion is oddly satisfying, one of those simple pleasures. It’s large enough to be a real statement piece. Exactly what I was hoping for.

This was a bigger project and I loved every evening of it. The canvas came rolled, and it flattened out with no creases. It’s become my evening ritual – an hour of this and I feel settled. It gets complimented every time someone new sees it. A few drills were stuck together and needed separating. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

Ordered two kits, this was the one I finished first. No missing colors and no shortage on the ones used most. Good weight to the materials, it doesn’t feel cheap. Nice to have something that gets me off my phone for a while. The landscape piece really pulls the room together once it’s hung. It’s framed and hanging in our my craft room now. Very happy with this purchase.

This one required patience and rewarded it. I’ve gotten so many compliments on it. The sorting tray is shallow, drills spill out if you’re not careful. I’d recommend it with that one note.

This kept me busy through the whole winter. The chart on the side of the canvas is clear and easy to follow. I keep it set up on a side table and do a bit whenever I have ten minutes. The adhesive attracted a little dust over the weeks. It’s displayed above the sideboard. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

Ordered it after seeing one a friend finished, and I get the appeal now. Glue coverage was even, no dry patches anywhere. I do this on the porch in the summer and it’s lovely. The canvas arrived folded rather than rolled, took a while to flatten. Would make a really nice gift, and it arrives boxed nicely. The landscape artwork looks great up on the wall. Would order again despite the small issues.
