About This Landscape Design

A Landscape study built on a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist, with a still lake catching the sky and pine slopes anchoring both banks. The palette stays in cool pine green and slate blue with a band of warm light at the horizon, and the piece keeps a expansive and quiet register throughout. Landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. It is for people who want a project long enough to matter but calm enough to enjoy. Designed for living rooms and reading corners, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference Q4754. landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. It is why the piece settles into living rooms and reading corners without needing the rest of the scheme to match it.

Built by DOTZSO for regular makers, this kit rewards patience rather than speed. The kit contains a colour-printed canvas, DOTZSO resin drills, a sorting tray, a comfort-grip applicator pen, a wax caddy and pictorial steps.

Placement accuracy is what makes a diamond canvas look sharp at a distance. Working one colour block at a time is the fastest route to that finish and the least tiring way there.

One canvas, printed to full drill, so the project stays focused on a single design.

What’s in the Box

  • 1 × colour-printed canvas
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Unroll the canvas on a flat surface and let it settle under something weighted if it has been rolled tight.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one colour block at a time rather than jumping around the canvas.
  5. Continue until the design is complete, then press the finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Seat the canvas in its frame, or store it flat, once the surface has been pressed.

Finish it whenever suits, then frame it — this one is designed to be looked at.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Landscape diamond painting kit cover everything from start to finish?

Yes. The Landscape diamond painting kit ships complete with everything shown in the product images, so there is nothing else to source, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference Q4754.

Will the Landscape surface keep its finish with regular contact?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Landscape design holds under normal use. The sealed surface handles normal handling, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. Handling the Landscape piece normally will not disturb the drills.

Is the Landscape diamond painting kit easy to wipe down?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge it or put it through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Landscape palette, cool pine green and slate blue tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. Skip solvent cleaners, which can cloud the Landscape resin.

Is the Landscape design full drill or partial drill?

The round resin drills are colour-sorted and matched to the printed symbol key. The Landscape artwork is drawn so that a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist reads clearly at any distance. There are no unworked sections on the Landscape piece.

What is the estimated build time for the Landscape design?

Plan for two to four evenings, depending on the size of the canvas. The Landscape design is expansive and quiet, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. There is no time pressure with the Landscape piece.

What would a beginner find tricky on the Landscape design?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the canvas and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Landscape layout is expansive and quiet, which helps on a first attempt. Everything ships together in one box.

I’ve been doing these for about a year and this is a solid kit. It was worth every evening I spent on it. The canvas arrived folded rather than rolled, took a while to flatten. Still worth it overall.

Exactly what the listing described, no surprises. It’s the nicest thing I’ve made so far. The canvas had a slight crease from shipping, though it flattened out. I’d recommend it with that one note.

  3. BayAreaBeads (verified owner) –

Bigger than it looks in the photos, which was a nice surprise. The scenery artwork comes together beautifully as you work. The chart was large enough to read without squinting. It’s become my evening ritual – an hour of this and I feel settled. Took longer than the estimated time, but that’s on me. A solid purchase with a couple of notes.

  4. Sean Jernigan (verified owner) –

Arrived well packed and ready to start. The release paper peeled back cleanly without tearing. The landscape colors are richer than the photos show. I had to press the canvas under books overnight before starting. Genuinely peaceful to work on one row at a time. Would order again despite the small issues.

I framed it once finished and it looks like real artwork. It was worth every evening I put into it. Shipping took a bit longer than the estimate. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

I framed mine and it looks like a real painting. It turned out better than I pictured. The canvas smell was noticeable for the first day or two. The landscape pattern is what made me choose this one. Solid overall, just a couple of nitpicks.

This canvas looked good online and better in person. Looks lovely framed and hung up. Pre-sorted drills would save time. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

  8. Amanda A. (verified owner) –

Honestly better quality than I expected for the price. Packaging was tidy and nothing had spilled in transit. The pen that came with it is a bit flimsy, I swapped in my own. The scenery pattern is what drew me in and it didn’t disappoint. I worked on this during my lunch breaks and it made the days feel better. Would order again despite the small issues.

  9. Eileen Haley (verified owner) –

I ordered this to fill a blank wall in the hallway. The drills cover edge to edge with no bald spots. It’s become my evening ritual – an hour of this and I feel settled. I had to press the canvas under books overnight before starting. Made this as a gift for my parents’ anniversary. Would buy again; the notes are minor.

The detail on this canvas is really nice up close. The chart on the side of the canvas is clear and easy to follow. The drills have a nice sparkle to them, not dull or flat. I found it really peaceful to focus on one small area at a time. Once framed it looks like something you’d buy in a gallery. I had to press the canvas under books overnight before starting. Still worth it overall.

A bigger project than I’ve done before, but so worth the time. The landscape artwork comes together beautifully as you work. A couple of the symbols were close enough to double-check. It’s hanging in the den now and looks great. Would buy again; the notes are minor.

  12. Courtney Lawson (verified owner) –

The finished size makes a real statement on the wall. Drill colors are well separated, no squinting to tell two shades apart. I found it really peaceful to focus on one small area at a time. I wish the printed legend was a little bigger. The artwork looks even better in person than the photos. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

  13. Marion Townsend (verified owner) –

Took it slow, a section at a time, and really enjoyed the process. The canvas feels substantial, not thin or flimsy. Keeps my hands busy during long flights and hotel evenings. The tray included is on the small side. It looks like something from a home decor shop. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

  14. Dave Thomas (verified owner) –

This one took some patience but the result is stunning. The canvas printing is crisp and the symbols are easy to read, even in low light. Finish is even and the whole thing looks tidy once you’re done. I like having a project that doesn’t demand much thought. It brightens the whole hallway. The tray included is on the small side. Minor quibbles aside, I’d buy it again.

  15. Ila Goodwin (verified owner) –

This kept me busy through the whole winter. Full drill coverage means no blank canvas showing through. The kit came complete, nothing extra needed from the craft store. Great for unwinding after a busy week. It brightens the whole hallway. There were slightly more drills than needed, so it took longer than planned. Worth it despite the small things.

I’ve been eyeing this design for weeks and finally pulled the trigger. It’s hung in the bedroom and looks wonderful there. It’s a big piece, so it does take real commitment. Happy with it despite the small stuff.

This is my third order from DOTZSO and it did not disappoint. It looks like a gallery print from across the room. The symbols are quite small in the detailed areas. Worth it, just go in with the right expectations.

The printed canvas is crisp and the symbols are easy to read. It came rolled and flattened out with no creases. The sorting tray is shallow, drills spill out if you’re not careful. I’m really proud of how it turned out. Overall a good experience.

A bigger project than I’ve done before, but so worth the time. If this style appeals to you, it delivers. It’s displayed above the sideboard. I had to press the canvas under books overnight before starting. Worth it despite the small things.

The finished size makes a real statement on the wall. Edges have enough margin for framing. Pre-sorted drills would save time. Great for unwinding after a busy week. I’ve had three people ask me where I bought it. I’d order again, just knowing what to expect.

I picked this up on a whim and ended up really enjoying it. The canvas came rolled, and it flattened out with no creases. I keep it set up on a side table and do a bit whenever I have ten minutes. It looks stunning in natural light. The sorting tray is shallow, drills spill out if you’re not careful. Overall a good experience.

The detail on this canvas is really nice up close. The adhesive held well across several weeks of working on it. The canvas had a faint mark from the printing on one edge. The colors tie the room together. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

A bigger project than I’ve done before, but so worth the time. The canvas is a good weight and the print underneath is detailed. The glue picked up a bit of dust over the weeks I worked on it. Quiet Sunday mornings with this and a coffee is my favorite part of the week. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

Took it slow, a section at a time, and really enjoyed the process. The higher color count really shows in the finished piece. It fills the wall above the sofa nicely. The glue picked up a bit of dust over the weeks I worked on it. Overall a good experience.

My sister got me into these and this is my latest one. The colors work together better than I expected. Only small gripe is that a few drills had little burrs on them. Solid overall, just a couple of nitpicks.

I ordered this to fill a blank wall in the hallway. I’m proud to have this on display. The canvas was creased on arrival and needed time to flatten. I’d recommend it with that one note.
