About This Flower Design

A Flower study built on a single bloom captured fully open, petals layered from tight centre to relaxed outer edge, with two leaves framing the stem. The palette stays in blush and coral petals with fresh green stems against a soft cream ground, and the piece keeps a gentle and bright register throughout. A single flower shot through with graded colour does more for a small wall than a busy bouquet. It fits a routine that includes regular quiet sessions and a wall still needing art. Designed for bedrooms and quiet morning spaces, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference Q4766. A single flower shot through with graded colour does more for a small wall than a busy bouquet. a single flower shot through with graded colour does more for a small wall than a busy bouquet. Placed in bedrooms and quiet morning spaces, it reads as part of the room rather than an addition to it.

DOTZSO designs these kits for quiet stretches of making, with a canvas good enough to display when it is done. The package contains a colour-printed canvas, DOTZSO resin drills, a tray, a comfort-grip pen, a wax caddy and a full illustrated reference.

The reason the finished piece looks deliberate rather than homemade is the shade grading. Close colours sit side by side, and the transitions read properly.

The 1-piece format gives you several designs to complete rather than a single canvas.

What’s in the Box

  • 1 × colour-printed canvas
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Unroll the canvas on a flat surface and let it settle under something weighted if it has been rolled tight.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one colour block at a time rather than jumping around the canvas.
  5. Continue until the design is complete, then press the finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Seat the canvas in its frame, or store it flat, once the surface has been pressed.

Give it the evenings it asks for, then frame the result and treat it as wall art.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the tools for the Flower diamond painting kit included as well as the project?

Yes. The Flower diamond painting kit ships complete with everything shown in the product images, so there is nothing else to source, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference Q4766.

How long does the Flower finish hold its appearance?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Flower design holds under normal use. The sealed surface handles normal handling, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. The Flower piece is robust once the final pass is complete.

Is the Flower diamond painting kit straightforward to look after?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge it or put it through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Flower palette, blush and coral petals tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. Avoid dishwashers entirely for the Flower piece.

Will the Flower design show bare areas when finished?

The round resin drills are colour-sorted and matched to the printed symbol key. The Flower artwork is drawn so that a single bloom captured fully open reads clearly at any distance. Coverage on the Flower piece does not vary across the design.

How long does the drilling take on the Flower design?

Plan for two to four evenings, depending on the size of the canvas. The Flower design is gentle and bright, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. The Flower layout is easy to put down and pick up again.

Does the Flower design assume any prior skill?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the canvas and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Flower layout is gentle and bright, which helps on a first attempt. Every component ships in the same package.

Ordered two kits, this was the one I finished first. The colors work beautifully with the room. The canvas smell was noticeable for the first day or two. It’s a charming floral piece and everyone comments on it. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

  2. Douglas Hamilton (verified owner) –

This kept me busy for a solid month in the best way. The canvas grid lines are printed clearly enough to keep count. I’d have preferred more spare drills in the least-used color. It’s a lovely take on a bloom design. It’s a calm, repetitive hobby and that’s exactly what I wanted. Happy with it despite the small stuff.

  3. Cynthia H. –

Bigger than it looks in the photos, which was a nice surprise. The adhesive is plenty sticky, the drills stay exactly where I put them. This is the kind of craft that’s genuinely calming after a hectic day. Once framed it looks like something you’d buy in a gallery. The canvas had a slight crease from shipping, though it flattened out. The bloom detail comes together really nicely once it’s finished. Overall a good experience.

  4. Phil Alford (verified owner) –

A bigger project than I’ve done before, but so worth the time. Symbol letters are small but legible, and the legend helped a lot. I do this instead of scrolling and feel much better for it. The packaging was a little crushed on one corner. I’d order it again knowing what I know now.

  5. NightShiftNina (verified owner) –

Ordered this after finishing a smaller canvas and wanting more detail. The symbol chart is legible across the entire sheet. Would have liked the drills pre-sorted by color. Quiet Sunday mornings with this and a coffee is my favorite part of the week. Still a good kit overall.

  6. Dallas Gilmore (verified owner) –

Second time ordering this style, still happy with it. Symbols are readable even in the busiest sections. Pre-sorted drills would save time. Made this as a gift for my parents’ anniversary. Worth it, just go in with the right expectations.

  7. Linda S. (verified owner) –

The printed canvas is crisp and the symbols are easy to read. Print quality is sharp, the bloom detail really comes through. I work on it while listening to an audiobook and the time just disappears. Really proud to have this hanging in the house. A couple of the darker shades were hard to tell apart in low light. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

Ordered this after finishing a smaller canvas and wanting more detail. Symbols are printed clearly even in the busy areas of the bloom section. It’s large enough to be a real statement piece. It took longer than the estimate, though that’s on me. Overall a good experience.

  9. Bruce James (verified owner) –

I hung it in the hallway and people always ask where I got it. The glue is tacky enough that I can reposition if I misplace a drill. The bloom artwork comes together beautifully as you work. Surprisingly calming, even for someone with a short attention span. I had to press the canvas under books overnight before starting. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

  10. Miguel Acosta (verified owner) –

This is the biggest canvas I’ve taken on and it’s been a joy. It’s displayed above the sideboard. The bloom element makes it feel personal. The canvas arrived rolled tightly and needed a night to flatten. Would recommend it with those notes.

  11. Ann Mcguire (verified owner) –

A bigger project than I’ve done before, but so worth the time. Full drill coverage means no blank canvas showing. It looks like a gallery piece now that it’s framed. The sorting tray is shallow, drills spill out if you’re not careful. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

Ordered this for a quiet weekend and it delivered. It fills the wall above the sofa nicely. The packaging arrived a little dented. Would still recommend it.

This one took some patience but the result is stunning. It’s framed and hanging in the living room. The symbols are quite small in the detailed areas. The artwork looks even better in person than the photos. A solid purchase with a couple of notes.

  14. Danielle Nelson (verified owner) –

The detail on this canvas is really nice up close. The glue is tacky enough to reposition a misplaced drill. I went with the bloom version and the colors are lovely. I worked on this with my mother and we both got absorbed in it. Some colors came with barely any extras, though I didn’t run out. Would make a really nice gift, and it arrives boxed nicely. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

I’ve done smaller kits and this felt like a proper project. The drills are bright and consistent in size, no weird off-color batches. Pre-sorted drills would save time. If this style appeals to you, it delivers. Framed in a simple black frame and it looks like real art. Still worth it overall.

Ordered two of these and gave one away as a gift. Color count is higher than my earlier kits, which shows in the finished piece. The floral motif makes it feel special. I worked through this over a few weeks of evenings and loved it. I had to press the canvas under books overnight before starting. A solid purchase with a couple of notes.

  19. Josh Jarvis (verified owner) –

Took me a few weeks of evenings and I loved every minute. The bloom motif makes it feel special. The large format makes a real statement when finished. The adhesive attracted a little dust over the weeks. It’s easy to pick up and put down, which suits my schedule. It’s the centerpiece of that wall. Happy with it, with one small caveat.

Ordered on a Monday, had it by the weekend. Drill colors are well separated, no squinting to tell two shades apart. The canvas had a slight crease from shipping, though it flattened out. Really calming, repetitive work, and satisfying when a section is finished. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

I hung it in the hallway and people always ask where I got it. It came rolled and flattened out with no creases. I worked on this during my lunch breaks and it made the days feel better. Some colors had very few spare drills. Happy enough that I’d buy another.
