About This Landscape Design

This one works a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist, with a still lake catching the sky and pine slopes anchoring both banks into a Landscape composition, coloured in cool pine green and slate blue with a band of warm light at the horizon. The effect is expansive and quiet and unfussy. Landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. It is designed for people with space and patience in equal measure. Designed for living rooms and reading corners, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference Q4889 70×40. landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it, and the treatment of the colour is what carries it.

landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. That makes it straightforward to place in living rooms and reading corners, where the expansive tone already fits.

Each DOTZSO large canvas is produced so the composition has room to breathe at full size. You receive the oversized canvas, DOTZSO resin drills, a sorting tray, a comfort-grip pen, a wax caddy and clear pictorial instructions.

Scale changes the project. A canvas this size is worked in colour blocks over a longer stretch, and the finished coverage is what makes it read as a proper wall piece.

A 70 × 40 cm cut is used here so the piece reads at distance as well as up close.

What’s in the Box

  • 1 × colour-printed canvas
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Unroll the large canvas on the floor or a wide table so the edges have room to lie flat.
  2. Match the first symbol to its drill colour from the legend strip.
  3. Load the pen from the wax caddy and place the first drills in one corner of the composition.
  4. Work outward in colour blocks rather than across the whole canvas. On a canvas this size, block-by-block is the only efficient approach.
  5. Once complete, press the surface flat in sections to seat every drill before framing.
  6. Frame it at 70 x 40 cm, or store it rolled loosely if framing comes later.

Plan for a long project, then frame it — the scale is what makes it read as artwork.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the large diamond painting kit pictured the exact configuration that ships?

Yes. The Landscape Series-D large diamond painting kit ships complete with everything shown in the product images, so there is nothing else to source, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference Q4889 70×40.

Are the drills on the Landscape Series-D design fixed firmly once completed?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Landscape Series-D design holds under normal use. The sealed surface handles normal handling, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. The sealing step at the end is what locks it in.

Can the Landscape Series-D large diamond painting kit get wet?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge it or put it through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Landscape Series-D palette, muted terracotta, dusty blue and soft graphite resolved against an off-white ground tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. The Landscape Series-D surface is not built for immersion.

Is the Landscape Series-D design drilled uniformly?

The round resin drills are colour-sorted and matched to the printed symbol key. The Landscape Series-D artwork is drawn so that overlapping colour fields drifting across the canvas reads clearly at any distance. The Landscape Series-D piece has a uniform drilled finish.

Does the Landscape Series-D large diamond painting kit work well as an ongoing project?

This is a multi-session piece — expect a week or more of evenings rather than one sitting. The Landscape Series-D design is modern and understated, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. It works well as an ongoing project.

How simple is the Landscape Series-D design to follow?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the canvas and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Landscape Series-D layout is modern and understated, which helps on a first attempt. There is nothing missing from the box.

Took it slow, a section at a time, and really enjoyed the process. The drill shapes were clean, not many chipped or stuck-together pieces. Drill colors are well separated, no squinting to tell two shades apart. Some colors came with barely any extras, though I didn’t run out. It’s become my evening ritual – an hour of this and I feel settled. It was worth every evening I spent on it. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

  2. Ryan B. (verified owner) –

The printed canvas is crisp and the symbols are easy to read. Color count is higher than my earlier kits, which shows in the finished piece. The wax ran out before I finished and I had to use my own. I worked on this during my lunch breaks and it made the days feel better. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

This arrived in perfect condition, nothing bent or spilled. It’s hanging in beside the fireplace now and looks great. Instructions were pretty minimal, though there are plenty of tutorials online. Still a good kit overall.

  4. Caleb S. –

I’m a repeat DOTZSO customer at this point and this kit did not disappoint. The scenery subject is rendered with more detail than I expected. The chart on the side of the canvas is clear and easy to follow. A few bags weren’t labeled as clearly as the rest. It’s framed and hanging in our the bedroom now. I’d recommend it with that one note.

  5. Arlene Dodd (verified owner) –

Was looking for something to do with my hands in the evenings. It looks far more detailed than the kit suggested. A couple of the darker shades were hard to tell apart. Solid overall, just a couple of nitpicks.

  6. April Haley (verified owner) –

Been doing these for about two years and this kit is solid. The scenery detail is impressive up close. The legend was easy to follow and matched the canvas printing. The symbols are small in the detailed areas. I do a section after work with a cup of tea and it’s a nice way to unwind. Made this as a gift for my parents’ anniversary. Small things aside, it’s a good buy.

  7. Javier H. (verified owner) –

So glad I added this one to my cart. There were extra drills left over in every color when I finished. There were slightly more drills than needed, so it took longer than planned. It’s hanging in the dining room now and looks great. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

Took it slow, a section at a time, and really enjoyed the process. If you like scenery designs, this is a good one to go for. The canvas didn’t dry out over the weeks I worked on it. Everything I needed was in the box – pen, wax, tray and tweezers. The canvas smell was noticeable for the first day or two. I set it up next to the window and do a few rows whenever the light is good. Would make a really nice gift, and it arrives boxed nicely. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

  9. Alvin Carr (verified owner) –

Bought it to have something to look forward to after work. The large format makes a real statement when finished. I’d have liked a paper chart as well as the printed one. I’ve been doing it in the evenings with my partner, we take turns on sections. Still worth it overall.

The detail on this canvas is what sold me. Everything I needed was in the box – pen, wax, tray and tweezers. Nice mindful work that keeps you present. The colors work together better than I expected. A couple of the darker shades were hard to tell apart in low light. I’d order it again knowing what I know now.

Wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’m very happy with it. The scenery subject is rendered with more detail than I expected. Really proud to have this hanging in the house. I had to press the canvas under books overnight before starting. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

Picked this up during a sale and it was money well spent. It reads as a proper piece of art. I’d have preferred more spare drills in the least-used color. Solid overall, just a couple of nitpicks.

Such an easy kit to get going with. The adhesive held firmly without any lifting at the edges. The symbols are quite small in the detailed areas. I set aside twenty minutes a night for this and it’s become a ritual. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

Took me a few weeks of evenings and I loved every minute. The canvas laid flat after a day under a couple of books. The pen that came with it is a bit flimsy, I swapped in my own. Really proud to have this hanging in the house. Still a solid purchase.

The color range on this one is impressive. Full drill coverage means no blank canvas showing. I like having a project that doesn’t demand much thought. The adhesive picked up lint over the days I worked on it. Really happy with the end result. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

Bought this to fill a blank wall and it did the job. Color count is higher than my earlier kits, which shows in the finished piece. I work on it after dinner and it helps me switch off. The glue picked up a bit of dust over the weeks I worked on it. The scenery pattern is what made me choose this one. It fills the wall above the sofa beautifully. Good enough that I’d buy another.

Ordered two of these and gave one away as a gift. The canvas didn’t dry out over the weeks I worked on it. It’s the nicest thing I’ve made so far.
