Not loud, not empty — simply modern and understated. Abstract canvases are the safest gift in this craft: they suit any room and carry no subject-matter risk. It is for people who would rather their eyewear case be distinctive than invisible. Designed for contemporary interiors, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference Q62. Abstract canvases are the safest gift in this craft: they suit any room and carry no subject-matter risk The colour is not decoration here; it is the structure.

abstract canvases are the safest gift in this craft: they suit any room and carry no subject-matter risk. It slots into contemporary interiors because the modern palette is doing the talking.

Each DOTZSO case kit is put together so nothing is missing and the finished case takes real handling. The kit includes the printed case panel, DOTZSO resin drills, a sorting tray, a comfort-grip applicator pen, a wax caddy and pictorial steps.

  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen

How to Make It

  1. Lay the printed case panel flat and let it settle before starting.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one section at a time rather than across the whole panel.
  5. Continue until the panel is covered, then press the finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Seal the surface and fit the panel into the case frame once the drills are fully seated.

Complete it over a few sessions, then let the case settle into everyday use.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Abstract eyeglass case kit come with as standard?

Yes. The Abstract eyeglass case kit ships complete with the case body and frame shown in the product images, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference Q62.

Will the Abstract eyeglass case kit take knocks without damage?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Abstract design holds under normal use. The rigid shell is what protects the drills in a bag, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. The drilling on the Abstract piece stays level over time.

Can I use a damp cloth on the Abstract design?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge it or put it through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Abstract palette, muted terracotta, dusty blue and soft graphite resolved against an off-white ground tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. The Abstract surface cleans up with minimal effort.

Does the Abstract eyeglass case kit have complete drill work?

The panel is drilled across the whole face, so the finished case has complete coverage. The Abstract artwork is drawn so that overlapping colour fields drifting across the canvas reads clearly at any distance. Coverage on the Abstract piece does not vary across the design.

Is the Abstract project suited to evenings rather than a full day?

Roughly one to two evenings for most people, depending on the pattern density. The Abstract design is modern and understated, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. Break it into short sessions and it never feels long.

Is the Abstract eyeglass case kit straightforward for a newcomer?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the case panel and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Abstract layout is modern and understated, which helps on a first attempt. Nothing has to be sourced locally.

This was my first diamond painting kit and I’m officially hooked. Holds its shape nicely, doesn’t collapse when empty. If you like contemporary designs, this is a good one to go for. The drill shapes were clean, not many chipped or stuck-together pieces. I work on it while listening to an audiobook and the time just disappears. It’s on my desk at work and people always comment on it. Really pleased with this one.
