About This Landscape Design

The subject here is a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist, with a still lake catching the sky and pine slopes anchoring both banks, set in cool pine green and slate blue with a band of warm light at the horizon. Rather than competing for attention, the piece holds a expansive and quiet tone. Landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. It is designed for rainy weekends and long winter evenings indoors. Designed for living rooms and reading corners, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference Q2054 Q2611-Q2615. Depth is built through graded blues rather than outlines, so the scene pulls the eye inward the longer it hangs.

landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. That is what puts it at home in living rooms and reading corners, with the expansive tone of the colours carrying the room.

Every DOTZSO diamond painting kit is made for steady, screen-free sessions that end with something you can hang. Contents include a colour-printed canvas, DOTZSO resin drills, a sorting tray, a comfort-grip pen, a wax caddy and illustrated instructions.

Consistent coverage is the goal, and full drill is how it is achieved. Nothing is left bare, so the surface reflects evenly across the whole piece.

The kit includes 6 canvases, which extends the project well beyond a single session.

What’s in the Box

  • 6 × colour-printed canvas
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Unroll the canvas on a flat surface and let it settle under something weighted if it has been rolled tight.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one colour block at a time rather than jumping around the canvas.
  5. Continue until the design is complete, then press the finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Seat the canvas in its frame, or store it flat, once the surface has been pressed.

Complete it in your own time, then frame it — a finished DOTZSO canvas is meant to be hung, not stored.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the diamond painting kit include the accessories too?

Yes. The Landscape diamond painting kit ships complete with everything shown in the product images, so there is nothing else to source, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference Q2054 Q2611-Q2615.

Are the drills on the Landscape design fixed firmly once completed?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Landscape design holds under normal use. The sealed surface handles normal handling, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. The Landscape finish is designed to be used, not just looked at.

Does the Landscape finish need any special treatment?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge it or put it through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Landscape palette, cool pine green and slate blue tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. Store it dry and the Landscape piece needs very little attention.

Does the Landscape diamond painting kit leave any background uncovered?

The round resin drills are colour-sorted and matched to the printed symbol key. The Landscape artwork is drawn so that a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist reads clearly at any distance. The Landscape piece reads as complete once the drilling is done.

How much time does the Landscape design demand?

Plan for two to four evenings, depending on the size of the canvas. The Landscape design is expansive and quiet, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. The Landscape pattern builds up quickly once the colour blocks start.

How beginner-safe is the Landscape diamond painting kit?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the canvas and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Landscape layout is expansive and quiet, which helps on a first attempt. There is nothing missing from the box.

Such a nice little project to have on the go. Packaging was tidy and nothing had spilled in transit. I take it to my book club and work on it while we chat. Really happy with the end result. Loved it, no regrets.

  2. Alyssa C. (verified owner) –

The printed canvas is crisp and the symbols are easy to read. The drills are bright and consistent in size, no weird off-color batches. Everyone who sees it asks how long it took. There were slightly more drills than needed, so it took longer than planned. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

Took it slow, a section at a time, and really enjoyed the process. Really proud to have this hanging in the house. A few bags weren’t labeled as clearly as the rest. Overall a good experience.

Ordered on a Monday, had it by the weekend. Color count is higher than my earlier kits, which shows in the finished piece. The pen that came with it is a bit flimsy, I swapped in my own. Gave it to my niece as a gift and it went over really well. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

The color range on this one is impressive. Finish is even and the whole thing looks tidy once you’re done. Gave it to my neighbor as a gift and it went over really well. The canvas arrived folded rather than rolled, took a while to flatten. I’d recommend it with that one note.

  6. Michael D. (verified owner) –

A bigger project than I’ve done before, but so worth the time. Print quality is sharp, the landscape detail really comes through. It turned into something I actually want to display, not shove in a drawer. I picked the landscape version and the colors are lovely. Easy recommendation.

  7. Bernadette Parker (verified owner) –

Picked this up because I wanted a hobby that didn’t involve a screen. The canvas grid lines are printed clearly enough to keep count. Glue coverage was even, no dry patches anywhere. I went with the scenery version and the colors are lovely. I found it a nice counterweight to a screen-heavy day. It was worth every evening I put into it. A solid pick.

I took a chance on this and it paid off. It fills the wall exactly the way I hoped. Pre-sorted drills would save time. The scenery palette works really well with the design. Minor gripes aside, I’d buy it again.

  9. Hugh Key (verified owner) –

Exactly what the listing described, no surprises. Symbol letters are small but legible, and the legend helped a lot. I keep it by my chair and pick it up whenever I have a few minutes. The adhesive picked up a bit of dust while I was working over several days. If you like scenery designs, this is a good example. It looks like a gallery piece now that it’s framed. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

Took me about a month of evenings and I’d do it again. The drills cover edge to edge with no bald spots. The wax and pen that came with it worked fine right out of the box. It’s the kind of task that quiets a busy mind. Gave it to my aunt as a gift and it was a big hit. Would make a great gift too.

I framed mine and it looks like a real painting. It fills the wall above the sofa nicely. The symbols are small in the detailed areas. Minor gripes aside, I’d buy it again.

A bigger project than I’ve done before, but so worth the time. The adhesive is plenty sticky, the drills stay exactly where I put them. Packaging was tidy and nothing had spilled in transit. Nice to have something that gets me off my phone for a while. Hung it in the hallway and it brightens the whole space. Thumbs up from our whole family.

This is the biggest canvas I’ve taken on and it’s been a joy. Colors match the listing photo really closely. The repetitive motion is oddly satisfying, one of those simple pleasures. It looks like a gallery print from across the room. Exactly what I was hoping for.

This kept me busy through the whole winter. The canvas didn’t dry out over the weeks I worked on it. The printed area is bordered, so framing is straightforward. The canvas arrived folded rather than rolled, took a while to flatten. The pace of it suits me — no pressure, no deadline. It fills the wall above the sofa nicely. A solid purchase with a couple of notes.

This canvas has enough going on to stay interesting for weeks. The symbol chart is legible across the entire sheet. It’s hung in the bedroom and looks wonderful there. Solid kit, would order again.

  21. HobbyHopperHailey (verified owner) –

Ordered on a Monday, had it by the weekend. The canvas is a good weight with a detailed print underneath. The adhesive held firmly without any lifting at the edges. The scenery subject matter is right up my street. I wish the printed legend was a little bigger. I kept it by the window and worked on it in the afternoons. It looks far more detailed than the kit suggested. Overall happy, just a few small things.

I bought this for the detail work — it doesn’t feel repetitive. It’s a lovely scenery piece for the wall. The canvas is a good weight and the print underneath is detailed. I did a section a night and looked forward to it each time. It’s the kind of project you feel good about finishing. It’s earned a permanent spot here.

The drills are uniform and sit flat with no gaps. It’s easy to pick up and put down, which suits my schedule. It looks stunning in natural light. A really good buy.
