About This Landscape Design

The subject here is a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist, with a still lake catching the sky and pine slopes anchoring both banks, set in cool pine green and slate blue with a band of warm light at the horizon. Rather than competing for attention, the piece holds a expansive and quiet tone. Landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. It is designed for rainy weekends and long winter evenings indoors. Designed for living rooms and reading corners, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference Q2054 Q2611-Q2615. Depth is built through graded blues rather than outlines, so the scene pulls the eye inward the longer it hangs.

landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. That is what puts it at home in living rooms and reading corners, with the expansive tone of the colours carrying the room.

Every DOTZSO diamond painting kit is made for steady, screen-free sessions that end with something you can hang. Contents include a colour-printed canvas, DOTZSO resin drills, a sorting tray, a comfort-grip pen, a wax caddy and illustrated instructions.

Consistent coverage is the goal, and full drill is how it is achieved. Nothing is left bare, so the surface reflects evenly across the whole piece.

The kit includes 6 canvases, which extends the project well beyond a single session.

What’s in the Box

  • 6 × colour-printed canvas
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Unroll the canvas on a flat surface and let it settle under something weighted if it has been rolled tight.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one colour block at a time rather than jumping around the canvas.
  5. Continue until the design is complete, then press the finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Seat the canvas in its frame, or store it flat, once the surface has been pressed.

Complete it in your own time, then frame it — a finished DOTZSO canvas is meant to be hung, not stored.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the diamond painting kit include the accessories too?

Yes. The Landscape diamond painting kit ships complete with everything shown in the product images, so there is nothing else to source, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference Q2054 Q2611-Q2615.

Are the drills on the Landscape design fixed firmly once completed?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Landscape design holds under normal use. The sealed surface handles normal handling, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. The Landscape finish is designed to be used, not just looked at.

Does the Landscape finish need any special treatment?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge it or put it through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Landscape palette, cool pine green and slate blue tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. Store it dry and the Landscape piece needs very little attention.

Does the Landscape diamond painting kit leave any background uncovered?

The round resin drills are colour-sorted and matched to the printed symbol key. The Landscape artwork is drawn so that a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist reads clearly at any distance. The Landscape piece reads as complete once the drilling is done.

How much time does the Landscape design demand?

Plan for two to four evenings, depending on the size of the canvas. The Landscape design is expansive and quiet, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. The Landscape pattern builds up quickly once the colour blocks start.

How beginner-safe is the Landscape diamond painting kit?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the canvas and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Landscape layout is expansive and quiet, which helps on a first attempt. There is nothing missing from the box.

The printed canvas is crisp and the symbols are easy to read. The drills are bright and consistent in size, no weird off-color batches. Everyone who sees it asks how long it took. There were slightly more drills than needed, so it took longer than planned. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

Took it slow, a section at a time, and really enjoyed the process. Really proud to have this hanging in the house. A few bags weren’t labeled as clearly as the rest. Overall a good experience.

  3. Javier N. (verified owner) –

Ordered on a Monday, had it by the weekend. Color count is higher than my earlier kits, which shows in the finished piece. The pen that came with it is a bit flimsy, I swapped in my own. Gave it to my niece as a gift and it went over really well. Minor things, but I’d still buy it again.

The color range on this one is impressive. Finish is even and the whole thing looks tidy once you’re done. Gave it to my neighbor as a gift and it went over really well. The canvas arrived folded rather than rolled, took a while to flatten. I’d recommend it with that one note.

  5. Emilia Owen (verified owner) –

I took a chance on this and it paid off. It fills the wall exactly the way I hoped. Pre-sorted drills would save time. The scenery palette works really well with the design. Minor gripes aside, I’d buy it again.

  6. Hugh Key (verified owner) –

Exactly what the listing described, no surprises. Symbol letters are small but legible, and the legend helped a lot. I keep it by my chair and pick it up whenever I have a few minutes. The adhesive picked up a bit of dust while I was working over several days. If you like scenery designs, this is a good example. It looks like a gallery piece now that it’s framed. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

  7. Wilma Hendricks –

I framed mine and it looks like a real painting. It fills the wall above the sofa nicely. The symbols are small in the detailed areas. Minor gripes aside, I’d buy it again.

Took it slow, a section at a time, and really enjoyed the process. The canvas printing is crisp and the symbols are easy to read, even in low light. The symbols are quite small in the detailed areas. Finished piece looks even better in person than in the listing photos. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

  9. Vivian Moss (verified owner) –

This kept me busy through the whole winter. The canvas didn’t dry out over the weeks I worked on it. The printed area is bordered, so framing is straightforward. The canvas arrived folded rather than rolled, took a while to flatten. The pace of it suits me — no pressure, no deadline. It fills the wall above the sofa nicely. A solid purchase with a couple of notes.

Ordered on a Monday, had it by the weekend. The canvas is a good weight with a detailed print underneath. The adhesive held firmly without any lifting at the edges. The scenery subject matter is right up my street. I wish the printed legend was a little bigger. I kept it by the window and worked on it in the afternoons. It looks far more detailed than the kit suggested. Overall happy, just a few small things.

My third kit from this shop and still really pleased. It looks like a gallery print from across the room. The tray included is on the small side. Still worth it overall.

  12. Isabela K. (verified owner) –

I hung it in the hallway and people always ask where I got it. The canvas laid flat after a day under a couple of books. Only small gripe is that a few drills had little burrs on them. Really calming, repetitive work, and satisfying when a section is finished. Overall a good experience.

Took me about a month of evenings and I’d do it again. Looks lovely framed and hung up. A few bags weren’t labeled as clearly as the rest. Would still recommend it.

  14. Nettie Herman (verified owner) –

This was my first full size canvas and it turned out better than I hoped. A really satisfying project from start to finish. This is a lovely scenery piece for the price. I had to press the canvas under books overnight before starting. Minor quibbles aside, I’d buy it again.

This one required patience and rewarded it. Each color was packed generously, I had plenty to spare. The adhesive attracted a little dust over the weeks. It’s hanging in the lake house now and looks great. Good enough that I’d buy another.

This was a bigger project and I loved every evening of it. It fills the wall above the sofa nicely. The symbols are quite small in the detailed areas. Good kit overall, just a couple of small things.

This was a bigger project and I loved every evening of it. The canvas printing is crisp and the symbols are easy to read, even in low light. The multi-placer tip took some practice. It’s become my evening ritual – an hour of this and I feel settled. A solid purchase with a couple of notes.

  18. Stacy Love –

The detail on this canvas is what sold me. Plenty of margin around the edges for framing or trimming. A couple of the darker shades were hard to tell apart in low light. I did this with my son on the weekends and we both got into it. Worth it despite the small things.

Been eyeing this one for a while and finally pulled the trigger. I gave one to my parents and they were speechless. The adhesive attracted a little dust over the weeks. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

I ordered this the day after finishing my last project. It was worth every evening I put into it. The canvas smell was noticeable for the first day or two. A solid purchase with a couple of notes.

The detail on this canvas is really nice up close. It looks stunning in natural light. The multi-placer tip took some practice. Minor quibbles aside, I’d buy it again.

This was my first full size canvas and it turned out better than I hoped. I love how the scenery colors turned out. The canvas didn’t dry out over the weeks I worked on it. Made this as a gift for my parents’ anniversary. The sorting tray is shallow, drills spill out if you’re not careful. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

  23. Owen L. (verified owner) –

Really nice kit, especially for the money. Edges have enough margin for framing. It’s my go-to when I want something enjoyable that doesn’t take much thought. Some colors came with barely any extras, though I didn’t run out. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

A bigger project than I’ve done before, but so worth the time. It looks like real art in a simple frame. Some colors came with barely any extras, though I didn’t run out. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

I’ve done smaller kits and this felt like a proper project. I’ll be ordering from this shop again. Took a bit longer to arrive than I expected. I’d order again, just knowing what to expect.

Bigger than it looks in the photos, which was a nice surprise. The numbered sections are spaced well, so the work doesn’t feel cramped. I worked through this over a few weeks of evenings and loved it. The canvas arrived rolled tightly and needed a night to flatten. Minor gripes aside, I’d buy it again.
