About This Landscape Design

Here the Landscape motif is built around a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist, with a still lake catching the sky and pine slopes anchoring both banks, carried by cool pine green and slate blue with a band of warm light at the horizon. The result reads as expansive and quiet — considered rather than busy. Landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. It is for people who relax through repetitive, hands-busy work. Designed for living rooms and reading corners, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. What’s in the Box

  • 1 × colour-printed canvas
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Unroll the canvas on a flat surface and let it settle under something weighted if it has been rolled tight.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one colour block at a time rather than jumping around the canvas.
  5. Continue until the design is complete, then press the finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Seat the canvas in its frame, or store it flat, once the surface has been pressed.

Finish it at an unhurried pace, then frame it — the canvas is built to be displayed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the diamond painting kit complete as shipped for the Landscape design?

Yes. The Landscape diamond painting kit ships complete with everything shown in the product images, so there is nothing else to source, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference Q4417.

Is the Landscape finish durable enough for everyday use?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Landscape design holds under normal use. The sealed surface handles normal handling, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. The sealing step at the end is what locks it in.

What is the simplest way to care for the Landscape diamond painting kit?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge it or put it through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Landscape palette, cool pine green and slate blue tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. A soft dry brush is the safest tool for the Landscape texture.

Does the Landscape design have any unworked areas?

The round resin drills are colour-sorted and matched to the printed symbol key. The Landscape artwork is drawn so that a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist reads clearly at any distance. The Landscape piece has complete drill coverage.

What is the pace like on the Landscape diamond painting kit?

Plan for two to four evenings, depending on the size of the canvas. The Landscape design is expansive and quiet, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. The Landscape pattern is easy to work in short bursts.

What experience does the Landscape diamond painting kit assume?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the canvas and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Landscape layout is expansive and quiet, which helps on a first attempt. All the essentials come in the box.

I hung it in the hallway and people always ask where I got it. It’s a charming contemporary piece and everyone comments on it. Everything I needed was in the box – pen, wax, tray and tweezers. Instructions were pretty minimal, though there are plenty of tutorials online. It’s the kind of project that feels creative without being stressful. It’s framed and hanging in our the living room now. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

So glad I added this one to my cart. Symbols are printed clearly even in the busy areas of the abstract section. I like having something mindful to do that doesn’t need a screen. The abstract detail comes together really nicely once it’s finished. It’s the kind of project you feel good about finishing. The sorting tray is shallow, drills spill out if you’re not careful. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

I framed it once finished and it looks like real artwork. Going to order a few more for Christmas presents. Took longer than the estimated time, but that’s on me. Would order again despite the small issues.

  4. Tracy F. (verified owner) –

Took me a few weeks of evenings and I loved every minute. The contemporary design is even prettier in person than in the photos. The drills came in labeled bags, which made sorting painless. Some colors came with barely any extras, though I didn’t run out. Perfect for winding down before bed, much better than watching another show. Once framed it looks like something you’d buy in a gallery. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

This was my first full size canvas and it turned out better than I hoped. Looks beautiful in our living room, the colors tie everything together. The symbols are quite small in the detailed areas. Overall a good experience.

This one took some patience but the result is stunning. Symbols are printed clearly even in the busy areas of the landscape section. The drills arrived clean, not stuck together in clumps. It’s a calm, repetitive hobby and that’s exactly what I wanted. Shipping took a few days longer than I expected. It’s large enough to be a real statement piece. I’d order it again knowing what I know now.

Picked this up as a small reward after a long quarter at work. It fills the wall above the sofa beautifully. Took longer than the estimated time, but that\’s on me. Minor quibbles aside, I\’d buy it again.

This was my first full size canvas and it turned out better than I hoped. It came rolled and flattened out with no creases. The pen and wax worked fine, I didn’t need to dig out my own tools. The glue was slightly tacky in one corner. I’m a sucker for anything scenery-themed. I work on it while listening to an audiobook and the time just disappears. It’s hung in the bedroom and looks wonderful there. Would order again despite the small issues.

This was a bigger project and I loved every evening of it. It’s a lovely take on a landscape design. A couple of the darker shades were hard to tell apart in low light. The higher color count really shows in the finished piece. I worked on this with my mother and we both got absorbed in it. Minor quibbles aside, I’d buy it again.

I picked this up on a whim and ended up really enjoying it. The canvas didn’t dry out over the weeks I worked on it. It was worth every evening I spent on it. Would have liked the drills pre-sorted by color. Overall a good experience.

  11. Enid Randolph (verified owner) –

I framed mine and it looks like a real painting. Colors matched the numbers exactly, so there was no guessing. I got through it faster than I thought I would. The multi-placer tip took some practice. Gave it to my goddaughter as a gift and it went over really well. I went with the scenery version and the colors are lovely. Good kit — the notes above are minor.

Ordered two kits, this was the one I finished first. The landscape motif makes it feel special. The adhesive is evenly applied across the whole canvas. It’s the sort of project that makes an evening feel well spent. Pre-sorted drills would save time. Would still recommend it.

This was my first full size canvas and it turned out better than I hoped. The drills cover edge to edge with no bald spots. Nothing arrived damaged, and everything was sealed properly. The adhesive picked up a bit of dust while I was working over several days. I’ve been doing it in the evenings with my partner, we take turns on sections. The finished piece looks stunning in natural light. Happy with it, with a few caveats.

This kept me busy through the whole winter. It’s displayed above the sideboard. Took a bit longer to arrive than I expected. Solid overall, just a couple of nitpicks.

This is my first large-format kit and the pacing works well. It gets complimented every time someone new sees it. The tray included is on the small side. Overall a good experience.

I framed it once finished and it looks like real artwork. The symbol chart is legible across the entire sheet. This is a lovely scenery piece for the price. The tray was smaller than I’d like for a big session. Once it was framed it really pulled the room together. I’d recommend it with that one note.

I wanted a full-size piece for the wall above the couch. It pulled the color scheme of the room together. I pressed it under books overnight before starting. Still a good kit overall.

I added this to my cart at 11pm and had zero regrets the next morning. The canvas grid lines are printed clearly enough to keep count. The adhesive is plenty sticky, the drills stay exactly where I put them. I brought it on a week at the lake and finished most of it there. Gave it to my wife as a gift and it went over really well. A few drills were stuck together and needed separating. I’d order again, just knowing what to expect.

A bigger project than I’ve done before, but so worth the time. It’s found a permanent spot in the house. The multi-placer tip took some practice. Small issues, but nothing that would stop me ordering again.

Bigger than it looks in the photos, which was a nice surprise. There’s enough margin on the edges for framing. The pen and wax worked fine, I didn’t need to dig out my own tools. The packaging was a little crushed on one corner. Really calming, repetitive work, and satisfying when a section is finished. The colors tie the room together. Still worth it overall.

I wanted a full-size piece for the wall above the couch. Extra drills were included for every color, which I appreciated. This is the kind of craft that’s genuinely calming after a hectic day. The glue was slightly tacky in one corner. Minor gripes aside, I’d buy it again.

Really nice kit, especially for the money. Symbol letters are small but legible, and the legend helped a lot. The canvas had a faint mark from the printing on one edge. It’s the nicest thing I’ve made so far. Minor quibbles aside, I’d buy it again.

Bought this because the design has real depth to it. Legend is printed on the canvas itself, which I find handy. I did most of it over a lazy weekend and enjoyed every minute. It would help to include a larger paper chart. Would buy again; the notes are minor.

This kept me busy for a solid month in the best way. It’s a lovely take on a landscape design. The canvas didn’t dry out over the weeks I worked on it. I brought it on a week at the lake and finished most of it there. It’s a big piece, so it does take real commitment. Mild quibbles, but a good purchase.

This is the largest kit I’ve done and it turned out beautifully. The print quality is sharp and the detail comes through. The pen that came with it is a bit flimsy, I swapped in my own. Made this as a gift for my parents’ anniversary. Still worth it overall.

The finished size makes a real statement on the wall. The canvas is a good weight with a detailed print underneath. I take it on the porch in the evenings when the weather is nice. It gets compliments from everyone who sees it. Some colors had very few spare drills. Minor quibbles aside, I’d buy it again.
