About This Landscape Design

Here the Landscape motif is built around a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist, with a still lake catching the sky and pine slopes anchoring both banks, carried by cool pine green and slate blue with a band of warm light at the horizon. The result reads as expansive and quiet — considered rather than busy. Landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. It is for people who relax through repetitive, hands-busy work. Designed for living rooms and reading corners, it holds up as decor rather than as something you finish and put in a drawer. Reference Q4417. Landscape work is the most forgiving motif to live with — it never dates and it never demands the room match it. What’s in the Box

  • 1 × colour-printed canvas
  • DOTZSO signature resin drills, sorted by colour (with extra drills included)
  • Diamond painting tray
  • Comfort-grip applicator pen
  • Wax caddy
  • Pictorial step-by-step instructions

How to Make It

  1. Unroll the canvas on a flat surface and let it settle under something weighted if it has been rolled tight.
  2. Find the legend strip and match the first symbol to its drill colour.
  3. Press the pen tip into the wax caddy, then touch it to a drill – the drill lifts and stays on the tip.
  4. Set the drill onto the matching printed symbol and press lightly. Work one colour block at a time rather than jumping around the canvas.
  5. Continue until the design is complete, then press the finished surface flat with a book for an hour to seat every drill.
  6. Seat the canvas in its frame, or store it flat, once the surface has been pressed.

Finish it at an unhurried pace, then frame it — the canvas is built to be displayed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the diamond painting kit complete as shipped for the Landscape design?

Yes. The Landscape diamond painting kit ships complete with everything shown in the product images, so there is nothing else to source, plus the DOTZSO resin drills, tray, applicator pen, wax caddy and pictorial instructions. Nothing else needs sourcing. Reference Q4417.

Is the Landscape finish durable enough for everyday use?

Once the drills are seated and the surface is sealed, the Landscape design holds under normal use. The sealed surface handles normal handling, and the sealing step is the single biggest factor in how long the finish lasts. The sealing step at the end is what locks it in.

What is the simplest way to care for the Landscape diamond painting kit?

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not submerge it or put it through a dishwasher — the adhesive layer under the drills is not built for a soak. For the Landscape palette, cool pine green and slate blue tones show dust less than pale grounds, so a light pass is usually enough. A soft dry brush is the safest tool for the Landscape texture.

Does the Landscape design have any unworked areas?

The round resin drills are colour-sorted and matched to the printed symbol key. The Landscape artwork is drawn so that a layered vista of ridgelines receding into low mist reads clearly at any distance. The Landscape piece has complete drill coverage.

What is the pace like on the Landscape diamond painting kit?

Plan for two to four evenings, depending on the size of the canvas. The Landscape design is expansive and quiet, which tends to make it easier to work in short sessions. The Landscape pattern is easy to work in short bursts.

What experience does the Landscape diamond painting kit assume?

Yes. The symbol key is printed directly on the canvas and the pictorial instructions walk through the whole process, so no prior diamond painting experience is needed. The Landscape layout is expansive and quiet, which helps on a first attempt. All the essentials come in the box.

I framed it once finished and it looks like real artwork. The drills cover edge to edge with no bald spots. The finished piece looks stunning in natural light. If you like contemporary designs, this is a good one to go for. Perfect for a cozy evening project.

I hung it in the hallway and people always ask where I got it. It’s a charming contemporary piece and everyone comments on it. Everything I needed was in the box – pen, wax, tray and tweezers. Instructions were pretty minimal, though there are plenty of tutorials online. It’s the kind of project that feels creative without being stressful. It’s framed and hanging in our the living room now. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

Ordered it after seeing one a friend finished, and I get the appeal now. Edges have enough margin for framing. This one is going straight on the wall. Five stars from me.

  5. Aiden N. (verified owner) –

So glad I added this one to my cart. Symbols are printed clearly even in the busy areas of the abstract section. I like having something mindful to do that doesn’t need a screen. The abstract detail comes together really nicely once it’s finished. It’s the kind of project you feel good about finishing. The sorting tray is shallow, drills spill out if you’re not careful. Happy enough that I’d buy another.

This kept me busy for a solid month in the best way. Gave it to my niece as a gift and it went over really well. Thumbs up from our whole family.

  10. Tracy F. (verified owner) –

Took me a few weeks of evenings and I loved every minute. The contemporary design is even prettier in person than in the photos. The drills came in labeled bags, which made sorting painless. Some colors came with barely any extras, though I didn’t run out. Perfect for winding down before bed, much better than watching another show. Once framed it looks like something you’d buy in a gallery. Worth buying, just plan for those small quirks.

  11. Amber B. (verified owner) –

This was my first full size canvas and it turned out better than I hoped. Looks beautiful in our living room, the colors tie everything together. The symbols are quite small in the detailed areas. Overall a good experience.

  12. WashiAndWax (verified owner) –

This one took some patience but the result is stunning. Symbols are printed clearly even in the busy areas of the landscape section. The drills arrived clean, not stuck together in clumps. It’s a calm, repetitive hobby and that’s exactly what I wanted. Shipping took a few days longer than I expected. It’s large enough to be a real statement piece. I’d order it again knowing what I know now.

Took it slow, a section at a time, and really enjoyed the process. The glue is tacky enough to reposition a misplaced drill. I picked it up whenever I had a spare twenty minutes. Would definitely buy from here again.

This was my first full size canvas and it turned out better than I hoped. It came rolled and flattened out with no creases. The pen and wax worked fine, I didn’t need to dig out my own tools. The glue was slightly tacky in one corner. I’m a sucker for anything scenery-themed. I work on it while listening to an audiobook and the time just disappears. It’s hung in the bedroom and looks wonderful there. Would order again despite the small issues.

This was a bigger project and I loved every evening of it. It’s a lovely take on a landscape design. A couple of the darker shades were hard to tell apart in low light. The higher color count really shows in the finished piece. I worked on this with my mother and we both got absorbed in it. Minor quibbles aside, I’d buy it again.

I framed mine and it looks like a real painting. Colors matched the numbers exactly, so there was no guessing. I got through it faster than I thought I would. The multi-placer tip took some practice. Gave it to my goddaughter as a gift and it went over really well. I went with the scenery version and the colors are lovely. Good kit — the notes above are minor.

Ordered two kits, this was the one I finished first. The landscape motif makes it feel special. The adhesive is evenly applied across the whole canvas. It’s the sort of project that makes an evening feel well spent. Pre-sorted drills would save time. Would still recommend it.

This was my first full size canvas and it turned out better than I hoped. The drills cover edge to edge with no bald spots. Nothing arrived damaged, and everything was sealed properly. The adhesive picked up a bit of dust while I was working over several days. I’ve been doing it in the evenings with my partner, we take turns on sections. The finished piece looks stunning in natural light. Happy with it, with a few caveats.
